I would like to unlock my x compact phone. When I go to the sim lock page by dialling *#*#7378423#*#* I see the dreaded line "[x] network 0" suggesting that the phone is hard locked (has no unlocking attempts left) - see screenshot below.
However, further down it also says: "Max Attempts: 5", and I am unable to find an explanation whether this means that there are 5 attempts left or not. I cannot find a similar screenshot with someone explaining what the info means, in particular, how it relates to the hardlocking info given in the line with network.
Can someone help? Thanks!
Unfortunately, as a new member I cannot add an outside link, so here's what it says on the sim lock info page:
SIM Card IMSI:
[x] network 0
.
.
.
[ ] SIM 0
Detail SIM lock info:
Version: 2
Configuration:
Max Attempts: 5
Test IMSI: len 9
IMSI: len 7,00101-*
etc.

Hi there,
I am trying to change the IMEI of my telephone, as the compagny I work only accepts calls from particular IMEI's. Otherwise you connect to the helpdesk.
We get our phones from the company (I now have a w800i)
There is a guy who bought a new phone, and swapped his IMEI, and now he can use it.
I want the same with my QTEK s200. After a little research I found out that I have got a G3, which is good.
So I downloaded the aWizard to CID unlock my phone.
Unfortunately, I get a memory write error.
Here is the output of the program:
Code:
Initializing............CID unlocking mobile... DO NOT DISCONNECT UNTIL THE PHONE REBOOTS!

Store the generated 'lock_backup.bin' file in a safe place. It can help to restore your device if anything goes wrong.
* Press [Enter] to continue
Its on the 6'th last line.
Next up I download iWizard, I open it, and the program reads out the IMEI succesfull, but it doesn't write.
What to do? Can anyone help me out?
If I didn't supply enough info, do not hesitate to ask for more.
I guess a real solution would be not to change your IMEI but to ask your company's administrators to accept your actual IMEI ?
Ok I will try to make this a general question as I have been Searching the net for hours and it realy doesent seem clear for me.
I have a debranded x10 (2.1) and have always used the same carrier, thinking that the phone is not sim locked to that carrier. When I look in the service menu it goes:
[*] network 0
[] Network subset 5
[] Service provider 5
[] Corporate 5
[] Sim 0
And I was told that Sim 0 = unlocked
Now I did the following
- I first whent to seus t make a reinstall and that did what it was suppose to (wiped all data and made a new install).
- then new sim card in the phone with new provider and it asked for SIM network code
- used the emei to get a unlock code
- punched the code in with no luck (rechecked the emei and the unlock code and reentered the code ) no luck
SO what is making the problems for me and How do I deal with this
Did I punch in wrong code to many times (and thus needing to pay for a USB unlock)
Did the debrand process do something that made it impossible to unlock the phone ?
Please help as I do not think Im the only one I will gladly organize the answers to make it general so that answers is one place

Let me start off by saying I am a noob with these things. I also have searched a few of these forums and found steps by "cellzealot" on how to edit the NV Decimal settings to allow this phone to work on other carriers. I followed these steps and everything went through without any errors but the same issue is happening when I then try to get the phone to work on T-Mobile network. What happens is (after the above mentioned tutorial) I restart the phone, put my T-Mobile sim card in the phone. The phone then states "This SIM card is from an unknown source". In my settings menu under mobile networks In "preffered network type" I can choose Global, LTE/CDMA, or GSM/UMTS and nothing makes a difference. I dont know if it is in-fact unlocked and working and maybe this phone is malfunctioning or maybe I am just missing a step? Some additional info under settings:
About phone>Status>Network = "Unknown", Network type and strength = "No service", Mobile network state = "disconnected", my phone number = "unknown".
System Version: 183.46.15.XT907.Verizon.en.US
Android Version: 4.4.2
Any help is much appreciated, thanks in advance, you guys are awesome for your work here.
Anyone having issues using freedopop global sim card with their unlocked Samsung Note 4, follow the steps below.
First make sure your phone is Domestic Sim Unlocked (DSU) and not International Sim Unlocked.
1. Create a FreedomPop APN (https://support.freedompop.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2670/~/setting-up-your-phone-gsm-sim-card) for mcc use 234 for mcn use 20
2. Choose this APN and back out to your home screen
3. Install Phone Info (Samsung) or dial the secrete code to open GCF settings on the phone (*#4238378#)
The following steps come from the following post http://www.sammobile.com/forum/showthread.php?t=31372
4. Tap on GSM/(E)GPRS/WCDMA GCF ON
5. It will show Success
6. Now power off the phone using the power button, not a battery pull.
* If you applied GCF Setting and want to revert it in order to use a CDMA SIM (to return back to Sprint for example)
just follow the same steps but chose "GCF OFF" instead in the latest selection.
This should solve the issue. If this helps you out, please pass the favor and help others.
There was a thread noticing all the codes but they are not documented so this might be useful.
