Hi,
I use this Rom for two months and works very well!
I seem to be experiencing the opposite problem to what everyone else on this forum is experiencing.
Whenever I make or receive a call, the ear volume is always set to the highest which is too loud especially when in quiet environments as everyone around me can hear what the other person on the end of the line is saying, plus it almost deafens me.
Even when I turn the volume down during a call, it always defaults back to maximum volume during the next call.
I looked under the "volumes" section in the settings but can't seem to see an option for this.
I tried to solve with GravityBox - Expandable volume panel, but again volume after call by itself is setting to max
Can anyone help me on this please.
I also found many Chinese custom ROMs, but I am not sure I can post it without DEVs permission.
Hi guys, I have a problem with my 6p that been bothering me for a while now. Whenever I change the ringtone on the phone to a Zedge tone or one of the defaults that came with the phone, it always resets to "KeypressReturn" within 2 days. When someone calls, the phone only vibrates which cause me to miss a lot of calls. I saw a similar post on AC by a person experiencing nearly the same issue but there was no viable solution mentioned.
Please help!
make sure that whatever app your using to set the ringtone has adequate permissions. IE it has access to storage.
I had already given Zedge has access to storage as per the advice in the AC forum. Also the Settings app has no permissions listed.
I just wanted to report back that this matter has been resolved. It was actually me that reset the ringtone to KeyPressReturn all the time. I have been using some customized shortcuts for volume from the AudioManager app for a few years now. Apparently, the developer made an enhancement to the application by allowing a user to change his/her ringtone and alert notification via the shortcuts. Since, I don't read the change notes for every single app I upgrade I was unaware that the ringtone option exists and the default was KeypressReturn. I modified my shortcuts and tested each one of them while going back and checking what it was set to in Settings. It been almost a full day now and my ringtone has not been reset. Thanks everyone for your time and suggestions!
Guys, Please let me know ur opinions or answers for below mentioned queries.
1)Is it possible to enable face detection in ported n5 gallery(people tagging)?
2)Is it posible to increase call log numbers storage to be set to unlimited(currently limited to 500). I use Superbackup to backup the calllogs and it always show the number 500.
3)which file is responsible for dialler in ported roms? I have to switch only dialler from one rom to another(both are ported n5 roms).
4)Will the new always on feature ported to note 4(i guess it is software thing and is practical for amoled plus screen since only few pixels were litted), missing that feature from symbian days
5)Does anyone tried appsharing feature in dual boot between a AOSP and touchwiz rom? Is it possible to share call log, contacts and sms between dual roms(ie., data should be at common place and both roms should be able to access same set of data so that even in case of rom switch data wont be missed)
6)will we ever able to set Custom shutter speed in note 4 camera? using ported apps or mods?
7)Which is the best firewall solution for note 4?
8)100$ VR Gear which has official compatibility with Note 5 and s6 will support note 4? If yes only on stock rom or ported roms are fine?
Will add some more questions which i cannot remember now!
Hi,
after exchangeing the OP5 to a Pixel 2, I noticed, that the op5 seem to have a system equalizing onboard (Sound quality via Android Auto is less punchy and less clear on the pixel 2).
Pixels seem not to equalize at all... Never the less the eqalizing on op5 was quite nice and I want to have it back, so would be nice If somebody can give me details about the OP Eqalizing. Somebody knows what it is doing? And how I can bring it to my pixel 2 in some way.. this is the only thing I'm missing from the op5.
use v4a and forget about system defualt equalizers

Yep, that's a good one.
There's algo a lighter EQ if u don't wanna root your phone. You can search for an AudioFX APK with MaxxAudio and that will be enough tbh.
Hello! I have been struggling with a problem for a while. Most of the time I have my sound off, but then there is an ad that plays at full volume. I understand marketing strategy behind this, but is there anyway to disable sound making ads? This way I will not have another heartattack because I did not expect loud sound.
It's a Poco M3 btw
Post your screenshots to identify exact root cause. Here is the way to disable ads in MIUI
Settings > Passwords & Security > Privacy
Under this look for User Experience Programme and disable Enroll, Usage and Diagnostics and Ad services.
Also, disable ads from each MIUI stock app such as music, security, file manager, mi video etc by disabling recommendations.
I would suggest to use MIUI fastboot tool to debloat system app specifically miui deamon, analytics, joyce, msa etc

Wrong thread (Poco F3)
You have custom roms that remove that manufacturer bloatware(ads, preinstalled software, etc), so have at it.
POCO M3 ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other Develop
Improve your POCO M3's battery life, performance, and look by rooting it and installing a custom ROM, kernel, and more.

I know I'd probably first try crDroid since M3 is not officially supported by LineageOS, as sad as that may sound.
Where exactly is that ad playing? Which app and at which point?
