I didnt know where i should Post my Bug Report so if its the wrong section dont hold back to tell me.
I'm currently using my Galaxy S2 for daily use and after flashing some Kitkat Roms Omni is in my opinion the most stable rom and with Nova + ART a damn fast Rom, so thank you very much for supporting my Device.
I dont know whats happening the last weeks but it all began with an Opendelta Issue, i wiped all Data / Factory Reset via TWRP and flashed the Rom completely new and OpenDelta still didnt work, it just said every day its all up2date. Now after a couple of days it is working again, dont know if it was a Server Issue or something else - at the official Omni Page no one post News so i have always to guess whats happening
Currently i found 2 Bugs, if you want to call someone you open up the Dialer and then the Button for the Numbers but after clicking it, theres nothing(Screenshot is attached). You have to go back and try it again then the Numbers are there. The second Problem is that there is no Zoom in the AOSP Camera App if you record a Video. My currently workaround is the Google Camera App, there all is working fine. Also there are some Issues with Apollo , freezing , doesnt update the Song DB etc. , dont know why its so popular - its horrible. Replaced it also with a 3rd party App - Omich/Rocket Player.
The last Problem is that not everywhere in the Settings the correct language is used, if you need some translation help im sure many users would like to help(including me) but that is in my opinion nothing critical .

Per the FAQ, this is not the place to put bug reports.
However, I9100 hasn't been maintained in a long time, so filing a bug report will be a waste of time. Support for this device is currently going to be dropped with Android 5.0, and if it receives 4.4 bugfixes, that'll have to come from a new maintainer as none of the former maintainers have time/motivation for the Exynos 4210 devices these days.
Some of the issues you describe with Apollo aren't Apollo issues, but the result of a very deep-down core bug that has a side effect of screwing up storage access. This bug has been known for nearly a year (there's a big thread disucssing it somewhere around here...) and still no one has found a fix for the root cause. In fact, it's one of the #1 reasons the device is getting dropped for L. (It will absolutely not receive nightlies unless someone finds and corrects the root cause.)

Well, there are three things you listed:
1) Dialer stuff - probably some sort of odd HDPI issue and/or graphics subsystem stuff. The Exynos4 graphics subsystem is why many developers don't want to ever touch the platform again.
2) Zoom in video - What resolution was Google Camera? Zoom has NEVER been available for 1080p resolutions on the Exynos 4210 family, not even stock firmware will zoom in 1080p
3) The storage issues are a symptom of a deep-down kernel bug that no one has found the root cause of. This is the #1 reason the device is getting dropped for 5.0 - there is no chance even if a new maintainer steps up that nightlies will resume until someone tracks down the root cause of this one. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2612329 has more discussion (warning: It's long...)

I installed the MyaROM S7 port from HTC mania on my note 4 (N910F), love the rom only problem is the fingerprint scanner doesn't work it does say this in the Rom description, just wondering if there's a way I could enable it like is there a file I could flash that would get it working?
Also another feature that isn't there is the handwriting mode on the Samsung keyboard no option to automatically switch to it when I pull the S-pen out either. While it isn't a massive deal as I don't often use the S-pen to type it's nice to have if I do decide to use it so is there a way I could get that feature maybe install the note 5 keyboard somehow?
You have to use a Samsung stock rom to have those features, unless there's a custom rom out there that I'm not aware of that have these features

1.Camera Modes and features:
Actually i seems Mr @khongloi113 ported New S8 camera so there are some problem on it and there was not these problems on previous Camera S8 ported!
A.Some camera modes are not working on V7 s8 camera despite they was working on V6 !!!
Panorama Mode gives FC [It was working on V6/V5/V4/.../V1] and Video collage mode does not work (on S8 camera i testedstill unsolved
B.On Some modes there are some bugs [It was working on V6/V5/V4/.../V1]
Dual-camera mode's some futures don't work!
Night mode after taking picture cannot take again(at first)
C.There are some extra thing on camera list (such as Flash controlling on Auto selfie mode)
If You wanna get to the previous Camera app (V6 camera) to work panorama and some other feature you cam download S8 camera on V6 zip and flash it
i changed some thing from S8 V6 ported Rom to this:
(panorama working but you cannot change camera twice click and there is no motion photo on this fix)

C.AOD touch not working fully here!it refers to firs kernel ported for touch working on off-screen (AOD) and if you can please check service.jar on framework on system is.(AOD notification and face widget only work with one click well it eats more battery and after some times on deep sleep it does not work)
D.AOD moving(S8 AOD i think do not move at all but S7/S7edge AOD was moving thought the screen)

5.You cannot change Network mode correctly on dual sim devicesyou cannot change Network mode SIM2 from mobile networks on connections on setting!
6.Finger sensor gestures not working
S8/S8+ have an other finger printer sensor and it can be useful to use for swiping up or down on finger print sensor to open or close the notification panel on it, but it is not working on Note5 puted on Advanced features.
7.Samsung notes crashAfter saving and writing on this apk it gives force close and get our from applications (need to fix)
8.Position of Navigation bar is not true now
In V6 of this Rom Mr @khongloi113 added navigation bar customization on his KHONGLOI_CONTROL but now it does not stay on true location on down the screen on v7 now!
So you cannot access to controlling some features such as camera helping show passing!(need fix by main developer)
9.Wifi calling not working on some csc chose!
When you choose t-moblie /india csc this mode does not work and if you use another csc when you are installing Rom stress measuring cannot measure!
10.Some system apps give fc after closing from them
Some times some system apps after closing from them give force close and stopping notice!this is for that this Rom is not stable Unlike last released Rom(V6).
11.Bixby vision gives fail after update itOn last released Rom (v6) bixby vision was working prefectly but now has samo problem with it and also it cannot search images we chose them!
12.There are similar modes on notification panel
There is an other bug here???
so please tell me to add it here to resolving all of them.

1.AOD feature
After some times we saw a big change on Note5 develop Roms and features and one important from these feature and changes is AOD porting from Note7 and A8 by Nemisess kernel at first!
Now it changed so and many bugs of them solved such as:
A.AOD touch [duble top] (it not fully fixed but now we can access it by once click on notification
(At right it is duble click no one click))
B.AOD brightness (it was not working at first and it adjusted only on one state of brightness but now we have some Roms by setting it custome or setting it on 2 state and Automatic)
C.AOD Analog clock (on this Rom AOD's one analog clock does not show clock and it is first one there is this screen shot under)
D.AOD does not move! (On Gakaxy s7/s7 edge and also S8 samsung used from S-AMOLED Display and if some pixels be on on this display it nay be burn and it is dangerous! So unfortunately there is no Rom or kernel with porting it with moving but on s7/s7 edge and other device with porting AOD this feature moving on screen avery two minutes or more)
E.AOD eats more battery (on the Galaxy S7/S7 edge AOD uses 1.5 per hour well we know they have better battery than Note5 (3600 for s7 edge and 300 for s7 and Note5) but Note5 eats battery more than that we expect it) for example with Note 5 AOD on and touch setting On and finger printer scanner away it uses 25% per about 8 hours and it is so much!
F.Screen off memo does no show on off screen
On the Galaxy S8 there is no S-pen and also screen-off memo feature well we cannot save and pin a writing thing by s-pen on it. I guess we should get back to Note7 port Always On display for solving this problem .
please help and say how can we get back to it?
G.If there is other bugs on AOD tell me please to add them.

S8 camera is working perfectly and all its modes and features also except:
A.S8 selfie effects such as animals face and parts of them not working
(Galaxy s8 has irus sensor and face detection and they are working with it i think they wont fix cause it is a Hardware problem)
B.There is no fast motion mode so we can transfer Note 5 surrounf shot mode from its Gapaxy apps but we cannot add fast motion mode on it(Solved by @khongloi113 => Go to khongloi port v7 official page on note5 android developer and find it on addons)
(I shared surround shot mode link you can download and install it as normal apk and use it)
C.Some users reported s8 camera captures noisly picture on note5 and also s6 Edge plus
D.is there an other bug tell me to add it please

If you use from dual sims you may have this bug:
A.You cannot choose network mode easily so some times it is not working and some time it is wirking late
4.Some Applications dont ported from s8 such as S8 internet (Solved)

So you can get Galaxy apps and install wich application do you want
5.Battery charging show on phone off(solved)
You can see this under but when phone powered off charging does not show correctly on display
6.Smart view bug and TV controlling does not show movie
some users reported this feature does not work on V6 khongloi Rom with v6 kernel (I will check it out soon and report)

7.S-health stress measuring disabled(Solved)
NO any kernel and fix for this problem so you can uninstall your Samsung health apk and install newest version on Google play or Galaxy apps and between them you should restart and reinstall you Rom with Dirty-Wipe and then install new s-health
if you did not get result you can get back to Official nougat Rom and try s-health with it and then install Custom Rom.
7.Some apps such as Social applications and Samsung Notes give force Close on v6
On v7 i will test

I am checking Khongloi V7 Rom and i will report these all bugs after surfing 100%
Another bug is Smart view isn't working on v6 with v6 kernel. I'm using n920g. Phone sees smart tv. And smart tv says connecting. Then phone reboots before conecting
Aod problems services.jar and kernel. does not work when he goes into deep sleep aod touch. services.jar decompile - smali - com - samsung- aod smali codes in here.

ok i have a bug probaly
1. my tv player XS4ALL Televisie dont play video anymore, the app it self is functional, but since v6 it dont play video anymore (Log in attachment when i try to play online tv)
2. having lags in v6, i readed on the main treat there was a file i had to replace to fix that but can't find the post anymore
3. battery drain, it still eats battery allot https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71942787&postcount=3298 aod is off via kernel editor of the rom, when i look to the screen i see it drop % each 5-10 min or something, never had this with audax and pixel v4
4. encountered 2 times a random reboot, not seen but noticed because after reboot the kernel aduitor icon is in notification panel

phone just auto rebooted when i closed the cover, but i try to logcat but the function dont work where i can save it, great just cleaed the log T.T

In v7 rom dosen't work panorama camera shoting... bixby always ask me to upgrade ics but can't update and crash...
Hi everyone. The ideal rom does not exist and this situation makes XDA so great for all of us. I think will be usefull to share here different OREO experiences. It is hard to compare two roms - or more - this is not my purpose. Everyone has his own reasons and objectives choosing one or another. Different problems in OREO could find here different answers. So sharing experience will be good for all.
So, to start. I have G variant. 2 Sims - one for calls - permanent - and other for data/internet - that I switch ON wheather I need - otherwise is disabled. SD card is 100...G formatted as exFAT - obvious for passing the 4G transfer limit. So far, the only oreo rom that works in these conditions [on my knowledge] is NFound's RR Oreo 20180220. All ohthers I tried fails one condition or another. I need to be able to switch on/off sims and wold not format my card back to fat32.
What I miss - stock camera [slowmotion] and full functionality of AKM DAC.
Please feel free to share here your oreo experience - what U have and what you dont so far. Thank you all.

Black dialer
OK, I continue to share my experience in OREO, till others will dare to do as well. I dislyke the bright interface od the dialer - in general, considering eye impact and battery drain, I tried to set everything as close to dark, and yes, second sim for data only enabled when I need internet outside wifi range.
So I searched for dark interface in dialer and I found from another phone "GoogleDialer_Mod_v4_ambient.zip" and "GoogleDialer_Mod_v4_ambient.apk".
In twrp - installed the zip and at reboot the apk - then in settings default dialer. So I have the Black dialer working fine....(except sound bugs in RR Oreo by Nfound)
And yes, 128G sd card exFAT formatted as I mentioned before.

What Oreo are you talking about? If it's AEX or one of those, just use substratum

Thank you for your answer. First, as I mentioned before, I'm on the ONLY OREO rom - in my experience at least - that recognizes my 128G exFAT formatted AND has the option to enable/disable sims one by one. That is RR-O-v6.0.0-20180220.
For a custom black dialer, solution I found after diggin' some was easy - 1 - install a zip in twrp and a app afterwards, and voila! Black dialer working.
I tried Substratum..."alwaysON"...not too happy becouse if I tried to leave it and return to home launcher only solution was to press power - I wanted a software action not a hardware one. Maybe I do not now how to use it. Also, I was looking for threads about Substratum on our Axon7, and....I could not found any significant.
As long as you seem to know more about this matter, please, for the ones that do not know, shere here your experience and knowledge regarding Substratum - install and use - in Axon7. Thank you!

Lol no. Using Substratum in the Axon 7 is the same as using it anywhere else - install theme, then go to its settings, choose required app versions/options, build and enable. There's nothing weird with it, and the worst bug you can get is maybe some text not being readable.
There's no need for an Axon 7 thread about Substratum because it is universal
And the AOD module is actually a simple thingy that just enables a hidden Android feature, which is buggy by itself
Custom black dialer, yes, but then you may want black xda, black youtube (in this case i use iYTBP but you can just theme official youtube), black UI... And you're surely not going to swap the apps one by one.

Going back to the important things in an OREO rom, I would like you all to consider: (obviuos my personal subjective choice)
- phone functionality with 2 sims, option for enable/disable one or another;
- recognition of exFAT SD;
- camera - close to stock options, of course slow motion included;
- gps 100% functionality.
I wait for your sollutions/experiences. Thank you.

Do you have any idea why it drops a lot of frames with no modifications to the kernel? I have to use Conservative to fix the frame drops or it stutters.
Otherwise the ROM is great
RECAP of considerations for best ROM
Roms develop, some problems still remain. This is why I wanted to share information with others.
So, my...subjective choices are:
- full working phone - no sound bugs
- full working phone - available settings to enable/disable one sim or another
- ExFat external SD card available/recognised
- full option camera (slowmo...)
- full availability of DAC.
Well - some options are to be found in some roms, untill now I see no oreo based to fullfill all these - I say - normal demands.
If anybody has some other opinion, please say it here. Thank you all. Best oreo rom...still in the devs kitcheen...

Request one of our many gracious and wonderful developers to port a Samsung Nougat ROM for our beloved P905. I understand that porting a One UI based ROM would be very tough because of the deep changes. I hope porting a Nougat ROM from one of the many Samsung Nougat tablets would be a tad more do-able.
I once again acknowledge that our developers have their own lives to lead and priorities in life and are doing us a favor by spending their valuable time to develop ports and Lineage OS based latest android builds for our aging dinosaur.
A Samsung Nougat based ROM would be wonderful for the P905.

What are the Samsung specific features that you're looking for when it comes to One UI or Touchwiz?

By Samsung specific features, I mean mainly the Samsung Touchwiz/Grace UI and the myriad of settings and customization features unique to Samsung firmware.
And as a possible bonus, if the ported ROM is from another S-pen supported tablet/phone, then the included S-pen features would be the icing on the cake.
Developers like Valeria1978 have developed Lineage0S for this aging tablet based on Android 10 and it feels so much lighter on the resources. But inevitably, I find myself going back to the Note 7 ported ROM because I miss the stock Samsung firmware look and features.

Unfortunately it appears that the best path forward is to go with the Lineage OS builds from Valera1978. There hasn't been any other developers taking up the mantle with the P905, so we're only here at Android 10 by the good graces of Valera and his work. This is why I was curious to see if there was something specific to Touchwiz ROMs that appeal to you which could be mimicked in software but allow you to continue using the latest Lineage builds. For example, there's online praise of SPenCommand which is a 3rd party app (outside of Google Play) that recreates TouchWiz's S-Pen functionality for Lineage and AOSP ROMs, (note that I haven't personally purchased or used this software). LectureNotes, which I do use, is a very good note-taking alternative to S-Notes.
Since knowledge emerged on how to fix the S-Pen palm rejection that has been broken since Lineage 15.1, Lineage 17.1 has been my daily driver and working pretty well. I would have liked to stick to Lineage 16.1 as I find it more stable and polished than 17.1 but I cannot get a successful compile of Valera's 16.1 ROM to boot on my tablet.
If anyone can figure that out, I can probably provide a Lineage 16.1 build that:
- enables S-Pen palm rejection
- enables Bluetooth pairing of PS4 DualShock4 controller without the associated nasty input lag
I fully agree with you. I have not tried the Spencommand software, but now that you have mentioned it, I will try to find it and use it.
Apart from the comparative lack of customizability, there are 3 reasons which I find irksome about the 17.1 build.
First is the rotation bug. After a while, the tablet simply gets stuck in portrait mode and only a reboot gets the landscape mode working again.
Secondly, I need to swipe at least 3 or 4 times in order to pull down the quick settings and notification shade and it is extremely slow while it opens out.
Thirdly, I use my P905 a lot for making calls and in spite of trying everything, I'm unable to hear the voice of the person on the other line when on voice calls. I'm forced to use a Bluetooth speaker which is not always convenient.

The telephony aspect of this tablet is something that I am unable to provide any alternatives. My carrier appears to be incompatible with my tablet so I never looked into this at all.
In terms of the rotation bug, I use an app called Ultimate Rotation Control and manually rotate using its Notification widget. This bug exists with all versions of Lineage OS and this was the only workaround I've found which consistently works.
For the notification shade, this is one area that I think Lineage 16.1 offers a smoother experience. I found that certain apps like Youtube, TunedIn Radio, or any apps that utilizes a background image for its notification card will cause the notification shade to lag. Once an affecting app generates a notification card that causes the stuttering behavior, there's no way to recover other than to reboot. Even if the affecting app is closed, the notification shade continues to be slow and stuttery. The only workaround I've found is to disable all notifications for the affecting apps and then reboot.
In terms of quickly pulling down the notification shade with everything expanded in one go, there is an option in Lineage OS in the Settings app, under System > Status Bar -> Quick Pulldown. Enabling this option will allow a single swipe from the status bar to display a fully expanded notification shade with all the toggles and cards expanded.
I know the biggest problem for you is the telephony and call volume. Unfortunately nothing I have said is going to help with that. I hope perhaps Valera or a new developer may be able to help you. At least I hope my words would help anyone else with similar problems who happens to stumble upon this post.
Lastly, I'd like to share that to get the experience of a fullsize keyboard similar to Touchwiz, Hacker's Keyboard is probably as close as you can get with so little developers producing keyboards that are appropriate for tablets of this size.

I'm afraid to report bad news. I tried SPenCommand downloaded from the developer's page but it doesn't seem to launch on my device using Lineage OS 17.1. If you are going to try and switch ROMs to try this software, please be aware of this potential snag.

The developer of this app is called @emandt. He had a thread about this app here at XDA.
His website is http://www.emandt.net/Android/SPenCommand/Website/. On this page you can find the download links. This is a paid app hosted outside the Google Store and relies on an in-app purchase to unlock. As I mentioned, this app seems to instantaneously close on me so it seems to do nothing. The author seems to have last updated this app to support Android Oreo or Lineage 15.
