reboot itself? in battery usage i see - Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo Questions & Answers

Hi. I wanna know rebooted itself? I dont have a problem like this. I do reset at 01-08 8h p.m and dont full charged, so in the night was 40 percent. Next day i used and battery stats was just 17 hours. Where gone 18 hours -24 hours? I used phone from 18 to 24hours . I speaking with my friend. Ant the phone works nornal. So after 00.am i locked screen with opened sms apps to direct send sms. Battery was 26. After morning i unlock phone battery was 22. Battery is normal. My opinion. I unlocked phone and see home screen with pop up close back cover this message pop up when the phone turned on from switched off device completely. Or rebooted. But when i unlock screen i typed my pattern lock. But no sim card pin. So rebooted? Ugh i dont remember what i locked sms with power button or just homescreen. Like homescreen i understand because my cover back is cracked. But when i unplug cover i dont see warn message. Just when rebooted or turn on again s5 phone. I see even when back cover is plug in. So why battery scale not going down like normal? Umm, when i used the phone for 5 days. Battery left the 5 day 45 in the evening. And do not let to discharged to 26%. Hmm interesting. I enter to settings-about device-up in time see 38 hours. Not 8hours working or 2hours after reboot . You know not completely rebooted when the phone rebooted with samsung brand name. Just samsung logo and turned itself to lockscreen. Maybe this?? But i never had on s5 neo. I had on s3 when rebooted in samsung logo and put me on lockscreen. I had the note 3 which rebooted completely with vibrate and samsung brand name and model, and samsung logo but i dont remember when rebooted asked my pin or just lockscreen pin. I never locked the s5 neo with 26 percent and stand by to 10 hours . I used the phone with 26 when i got the phone. Just not used when was 17percent. Was be in december 24day 17. P.m to 23.pm was 10 percent in the next morning still 10 percent. Good battery.

Weird Battery Percentage, (not the taskbar %)

I'm wondering if maybe my battery is jacked up or something, but I've only noticed this a couple times.
About a week ago, I plugged my phone in before going to bed, next morning I had a green light and battery widget said 100%. I unplugged the phone and the screen went back off. Maybe 5 minutes later, I picked the phone back up and woke it up and the widget said it was already at 90%. Went into settings and it also already showed a bar missing from the battery bar as well. My phone hovers between 12-15% awake, but even at 100% it shouldn't pull the battery that much in 5 minutes.
So when fresh 1 came out, I had been wanting to ruu back and start from scratch so I went ahead and did that. Seemed to fixed the battery issue, until tonight. I got bored and was changing stuff around. I turned the phone off to do a nandroid backup at 51% battery. Shut down, nandroid and reboot, and when it came back on, it said it was down to 28%. I know rebooting the phone didn't pull almost a quarter of the battery. I plugged it into the computer for maybe 5 minutes to adb the htclockscreen out, when I pulled the usb, it said it was already back to 51%. Rebooted phone and when it came back up it said it was 41%. Screen turned off, and when I turned it back on, it said 43% and now seems to be holding steady there.
Again my first thought was maybe the widget, but i've tried 2 different ones, batterylife and the htc one and they both show the same and the bar under settings appears to validate the same.
Any ideas?

Battery Usage Screen ???

Sorry if this is a stupid question I just need some clarification.
The battery usage screen shows how long you have been running on battery days, hours, minutes, seconds etc should this information be retained even after you power off, say you run it for 30 minutes on battery and power off when you turn it on again should it still show 30 minutes on battery and add on the new minutes or should it start from scratch again (0 seconds) ?

mine has been really inconsistent on my nexus. sometimes it'll be ahead a few hours but almost never does it exactly match up with the actual time. plus, it never updates if I press the refresh button. the only way to get it to refresh it to completely close the settings app and open it again. But yeah' a reboot tends to reset the counter.
So if its working correctly power off should reset the time counter because I'm sure this wasn't happening to mine at first hence the confusion plus the guide doesn't exactly read that way ?
That seems good

The battery usage stats carry on from where they left off from when the device was last powered down. They are only reset when it has been charged to 100% and unplugged.

Well that's what I thought it should do so I guess I'm unlucky then
The first one I had behaved that way for two weeks then started resetting back to 0 seconds after power off so I sent it back for another which I got today this also worked correctly until I charged it for the first time now that's also resetting back to 0 seconds after power off.
Not done anything to this one except install two apps, I sent the other one back because even a factory reset didn't solve the problem that was also on stock not unlocked or rooted.

Note 4 drops from 50% battery to 0% instantly. Anyone else had this problem?

Hi there, I currently have a Samsung Note 4 running CM12.1 and in the past two days the phone has randomly "crashed" late afternoon/night (5.30pm today and 8.40pm last night). My phone performs fine throughout the day and then I'll notice that the screen doesn't wake up if I press the home button like normal. If I then power the phone on it boots up and instantly powers off after booting since it has "0%" battery. Both times the phone had plenty of charge in it, around 30-50%. Has anyone else encountered this before?
I have some screenshots but I am unable to post the Imgur links in my post because of my post count. Any other way I can post them?
Specs:
SM-N910F
CM 12.1-20151022-NIGHTLY-trltexx
Android 5.1.1
I can provide more specs if you wish.
Buy another battery, if another battery is OK then your old battery is broken
I had a similar issue where it would, after a clean software reset, shut down unexpectedly at 20% or so - then subsequently at 40%, 60%, and further 20 percent increments when I'd let it shut down of it's own accord. RMA'd it under warranty, pretty pleased with the service I got. No software fix for it.

Recalibrate your battery. I had this issue, too, after flashing another ROM. My Note 4 would shut down and die at ~50%.
1. Download Battery Calibration from Google Play
2. Fully charge your phone. By "fully" I mean not only to 100% (which, in your case, will be something like 50% effective charge), but until your LED has turned green. For good measure, just turn your phone off and let it charge overnight.
3. Run Battery Calibration, and tap the big button that says "Battery Calibration"
4. That's it.
You should do this every time you flash a new ROM, because there's always a chance your battery gets miscalibrated during the process.
Thank you very much for your help everyone, I'll try the Battery Calibration and let you know if it fixes it!

is it my battery or my phone/settings

Just noticed this happening a month ago. It could of been since day 1 but i rarely bring my phone down to 30% to find out.
So i have a TMO note 4, rooted and OEM battery. No issues with the phone at all, except this one. My phone will show me having around 28-30% and then power cycle repeatedly. It power cycle and displays a message like i'm low on battery. With android 5.x, it will do the "update apps" thing at boot up and power cycle normally right after like its dead battery and repeat.
When this happens, they only way to stop the cycle is to pull the battery. Once powered back on, it will do the same cycle and read about 7-10%. I did boot into recovery a few times when this happens and it will either say 7-10% or 28-30%.
I rarely get below 30% so i cant say this just started to happen. I normally make it thru the day with 50%. This has happened to me when i was poprock ROM and now tekX's ROM (5.1.1)
So what do you guys think? Battery or phone?
Just happened again but this time it was more then 30%.

Note 4 (N910F) restarts itself

I finally upgraded from S5 to Note 4, I've had my phone now for 2 weeks but I have a problem!
If the phone is asleep (I mean screen off and I haven't touched it) after around 2 hours, it's like it's powering itself off! Because when I put the screen on, the samsung boot logo comes on, not the first galaxy note 4 screen but the second one. After that I can unlock the screen, so it doesn't really reboot completely because otherwise I would have been forced to unlock my Sim-card.
I'm rooted and I've tried different roms, norma v26, batman, black dog, apocalypse.. but now I'm very satisfied with AstraDream UX. Also I've tried flashpoint kernel but I'm satisfied with Ramkernel. But it doesn't matter what I run, the problem always occur. For example, this morning I missed my alarm clock.
I attached a screenshot where you can see that the phone went off around 3 am, I locked it a half hour earlier. Then I woke up 07.50 am and as you can see, the battery drained a lot. I had like 95% then in the morning it was 60 something.
On betterbatterysaver I can't see anything because it restarts its counting from boot, but on GSam, it says that since full charge, the device been on 4-5 o clock am. But it was full charged at midnight.
Someone who know about this problem? Or someone who know a good log program so I can see what's going on?

Looks like you've got the dreaded emmc problem! Search and you will find!

I don't think so, because everybody who have that problem describe that their phone reboots completely several times or they can't boot or they get error message. Also I checked emmc check and it passes. My phone only reboots if the screen has been locked for more than 2hours, and it doesn't completely reboot, just a fast reboot.
It's like it's not completely off because I can press home button, then the phone starts from Samsung logo and then I'm in, no sim card pin either.
if you leave it plugged in does it reboot after few hours of inactivity? If not then maybe try another battery.

No, plugged in it doesn't reboot. I was thinking it was a battery thing, because one day it suddenly fast drained from 25% to 15% and then suddenly it died.
So I got a second battery when I bought the phone and I tried that one, and I got a better battery life and I thought no reboot problems.
But then, during a call after around 1hour, it did the same thing and rebooted to the samsung logo. Also during another call, when I unlocked the phone and opened Textra it rebooted.
Another day I saw it reboot during inactivity for around 15min after a full charge and now yesterday it rebooted when I was going to enter Google Home.
So now I'm back at stock and running stock kernel, so far so good.
You should try wake lock application and use partial wakeup to keep your device from freezing
