Strange, i thought it was the same USB. The other side i know that S9 uses usb Type C and iPhone Lightning type. But the side that connect to iPhone charge is not a simple USB connector?

If you're referring to the block that plugs into the wall, yes you can use that.......I use my wife's (she's an iPhone user) from time to time, and she uses mine. But, the end of the cable that plugs into your phone is different than an iPhone.

Hello
I have a question which i would like your oppinion
I have a note 3 using a galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition. My note 3 is used for about 30min hotspot, 2h30 screen on, 1h call duration , many hangouts messages and a 14h Bluetooth connection to galaxy gear.
This is my usage every day. I've ended with about 50%of battery.
However, i feel i didnt need such a big device because I have a big tablet too. And after 4 weeks I didnt get tottaly used to the big size of note 3.
Do you think if i trade for a s4 o would do regret? Do you think the battery life of the s4 it would be enough for no usage, using a my connection to the gear?
Many many thanks for your oppinion

I have both devices and s4 was my primary device. Now I have note 3 and I use it like I did with s4.
In my opiniom note 3 has better battery life than s4.

Im pretty sure that you would lose money downgrading from the note 3 to a new s4. Something i would never consider.

+1 the s4 doesnt even compare to the n9005. Two completely different devices. But i have big hands so the note 3 suits me better.

I had a Note 2 and swapped it with a S4 because it was big and I couldn't always put it on my jeans pocket. Now I want to buy a Note 3. I "think" the Note 3 is way better.

And do You think the s4 battery could handle the kind of my usage with the note?

Does anyone else experience delay or lag scrolling apps like Facebook and Instagram?
It seems some problems loading pictures and make it delay the scroll...

I sure do, but I don't think it's the hardware. Might just be 5.02, hopefully the i3 will get a real update soon but I doubt it. I think they'll likely update to M as we're so close to it's release or this will be my last Alcatel phone, EVER.
In general I'm happy with the phone, according the price he cost.
But my previous was a Zenfone 2 and there are a few things I'm missing.

For what I paid I'm not complaining either, hell of a phone for the price. I had a zf2 as well but I prefer the i3.
Probably you didn't had same version as I did. The 4gig ram.
One thing I thought I would complain was the battery. But actually the I3 have a nice one too.

No, I had the 4gb version but the screen isn't as good as the one on the idol, the front facing speakers are better, the I3 is lighter, imho the I3 is the better looker between the 2 phones, the Android skin on the idol is closer to vanilla android (which I prefer) and the the battery life on the I3 is better.
Without a doubt things were more fluid on the zf2 and benchmarks were better but after using both phones in the real world I rather use the I3. Yes the I3 is slower than the zf2 but not by much in real world situations.
I like I3.
On Zenfone 2 I miss camera quality.

Don't want to start a new thread or tack on to one that pretty much has died.
Where the heck did everyone go anyways. Reviewing threads back when the discussions had been going pretty good.
I picked one up with some reservations but with a return policy in tow and for the price I figured since I'm a junkie then why not.
In brief the display is very good, same with the sound quality and there is virtually no lag and I am using stock launcher. I turned the animations off and limited background processes to two.
Folks can hunt around but unless they got one that is not functioning properly they are not going to get an unlocked smartphone better than this and performs the way mine has for this price.
Great job, Alcatel!

I agree fully, if they could release a follow up with a 801/805 (or the 810 if it gets a price drop) and OIS on the camera (or new sensor) for a small bump in price, it would be damn near the perfect phone.

Really? My Idol 3 is nothing like that. What version are you running? I love the device but it stutters quite often.

Yep - I just switched to the Moto E 2015 LTE as a backup phone (bricked the Idol 3 by having root during the Stagefright update, but thats another story) and the Moto E has no lagging or stutters where it was noticeable on the Idol 3. Apps such as Instagram and Facebook have no lag whatsoever - and this is on a phone with a lower-end Snapdragon 410 chip! Granted the phone has lower screen res and and Lollipop 5.1, but it definitely tells me its either severe software optimization issues with the Idol 3 or the SD615 is a dog like it has been suspected.
I'm really curious to hear how the performance is on the Moto X Play that was just released (also with SD615, but with Motorola software optimization and 5.1.1). Should be a more direct comparison to the Idol 3 spec-wise.
I personally don't use Facebook, Instagram, etc. So I can't comment on those, but the stock browser has a terrible scroll delay. So bad to the point where it just freezes completely. I prefer chrome though which runs pretty smooth for me so it's not too much of a big deal.
Chrome does seem to drain more battery than anything else though. I still get more than a 24hr cycle of battery with my use though if I stretch it. And at least 4 hours of screen on time usually though so again, not complaining at all about this device. Just minor annoyances that seem like a software update/optimization should take care of. Fingers crossed that we get good official and unofficial support.
Let's find real reviews and good previews to get a clear picture over the new beast. I'm personally is really curious about camera, battery and system wide sound.
This is the first real comparison I've found about the camera. Please bring em on.

I'm really interested in how the camera stands up when it comes to low light photographing. Hopefully they've got it right this time. The P9 was mostly hype on my experience. My P9 just can't handle low light

I am interested in their SuperCharge Charger and how fast it charges.
4.5V 5A is about 22W of power.
Between this and Oppo's Super VOOC, I wonder which one charge faster.
I am interested in general on how this phone is going to be my next flagship until March 2017. There is a difference in speaker setup between Mate 9 and Mate 9 Porsche, which is stereo for the first and mono for the second.
Question of the day, is it worth to jump into the Porsche design just for the AMOLED and 6GB RAM (plus losing a speaker) ?

I'm almost done testing the charging speed and doing some battery benchmarks, so that will be my next article. After that I will tackle performance over time, then finally real-world gaming and UI performance.

Isn't that all Huawei phone are dual sim slot with 2nd sim slot share with SD Card?
So either 2 Sim or 1 Sim + SD Card, unless mod it like Mate8 http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/sd-card-2-sims-mod-t3342343
Porsche design would have been 128gb if they were to support microsd cards.

Hello, I just purchased a used Pixel 2XL and it didn't come with a Quick Switch Adapter. Can a USB C to micro USB cord be used the same way to connect my S7 Edge to my P2XL so I can transfer my data? I see those are available on Amazon and am not sure where to buy original P2XL access.

Hello everyone.
The Oneplus 8 pro is sensible is compatible with wireless reverse charging of QI devices.
However, I have never been able to get a wireless QI device to work on the back of my Oneplus 8 pro.
- Galaxy watch
- Airpods
- Iphone XS .......
I tried with two other oneplus 8 pro from colleagues. It never worked.
I've read lots of threads on the web from owners like me of a Oneplus 8 pro who have never been able to get reverse charging to work.
So my question did you manage to get reverse wireless charging to work on your Oneplus 8 pro?
Thank you in advance for your replies.

So far no issues with reverse charge. Charged buds+ few times via reverse charge. You just need to place it in right position to work.
I'm having issues trying to charge my pixel buds.
