Brando Ultra Clear for Qtek2020

Here it is my experience...
Hi,
I have received in 10 days my Brando Ultra Clear protection for Qtek 2020. Before buying this new one, I was using your basic screen protector and I was very satisfied, suggesting it to a lot of Qtek2020 users. But testing this new one I was really disappointed, because I was expecting some improvements, and I dare to say I have found only worsenings.
Here it is what I have found worse:
1- the electrostatic side, useful to the adhesion of the film to the display. Moreover washing it, its effectiveness is reduced remarkably.
2- An humidity effect on the display due, probably, to the hair bags, practically impossible to eliminate... I will try to see with the time if they disappear by themselves... I hope not to loose the film meanwhile because of the not good adhesion of the film. Note that I am using it from the right side... because from the other one it does not have no adhesion to the display at all.
3- The surface is the much most delicate one.
4- By eliminating that light opacified effect that had the surface of the previous films, very useful because it improved remarkably the sliding of the pen over the display and the backlighting or solar light vision of the display, attenuating the glares, the comfort visualization and generally the surface usage are gotten worse.
I hope this testing would be useful to improve your great product.
Best Regards
I am going to resume my old one...
I have just replaced the old one...now it's ok...just wasted about 10 euro

Hardware Tear down.

i love this stuff. looks a pretty solid build IMO.

Wow.
7350mAh batt? .... HOLY %&$#!
Yeah, that seems to be where the weight comes from. It's too bad that battery is difficult to replace according to that tear down though. I hate it when items that by their design (like a battery) will wear out over time are difficult to replace. At least the fan seems easy to replace. Fans tend to be an item that seems to like to wear out after many years.
im really glad the buttons are the rubber diaphragm kind and not the crappy surface mount ones that have become typical of newer handhelds.
the surface-mount kind eventually fail and will be a PIA to replace with out a hot air station. the rubber kind seem to last forever with the occasional cleaning. i still have NES controllers going strong but yet GBA Sp or 3Ds with button failures require a whole new main board
not to mention the feel is just soooo much better with the rubber diaphragm.

Google faces German Motorola phone patent ban

m.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-28233974
Motorola faces the prospect of being forced to remove its handsets from sale in Germany and to recall phones already bought by business customers.
The German company helped pioneer a processcalled Laser Direct Structuring*(LDS), which offers a way to create antenna patterns.
It involves using a laser beam to create microscopic pits and undercuts on plastic, to which a metal coating can then be anchored.
This can prove cheaper than other options, such as hot stamping the pattern or using injection moulding, especially when more complex 3D antenna designs are desired to help keep components small and hidden inside a device.

CardRift VR custom mod - (cardboard app, rift dk1 assembly minus display hardware)

here is my custom made Cardboard VR headset.
its made from my old Oculus Rift DK1 HMD, i removed the backplate, removed the display system and cords, and im left with the lens assembly and focus adjust gear with straps.
a lil creativity and some stuff i had lying around and i now have a excellent built stable cardboard setup,
i used a piece of cardboard that i measured out the aproximate 5.5" section for the lcd to show thru, took a few attempts to get as close to perfect as i could.
went thru about 5 cardboard pieces in attempts to line up perfectly and center the display with the b lens cups.
once lined up, i took time to accurately place and hotglue some lego pieces, and glue the cardboard into the lens/headgear setup of the rift.
then using some more lego and velcro i made a nice strong solid locking brace leaving side to side centering adustability with the velcro
Lol did you put Lego on it? Does viewing quality better than normal Cardboard?
Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
Yes that's Lego, I'm notorious for using Lego in my phone accessories projects. I have a ps3 controller and phone holder I made from Lego as well.
I have tested with an actual cardboard unit, and viewing is WAY BETTER, I think it's due to the rifts eye cups, when I use the A cups everything is crystal clear and amazing.

What is your go-to gaming chair?

The most obvious reason for getting a gaming chair is comfort. It would be best to have all the support for your back and neck to pace through your gaming sessions efficiently. Of course, they also look good, almost like a throne that is fit for a king. But before you pick up a gaming chair, there are quite a bit of factors to consider.
One can argue that a standard office chair is good enough. That is true to an extent, as most office chairs offer similar back and lumbar support that helps maintain your posture. They even let you adjust the height and back support. However, gaming chairs have extra ergonomic features that you may or may not find on a regular office chair.
For instance, most gaming chairs come with adjustable armrests, lumbar support pads, headrests, back cushions, head/neck pillows, and so on. In fact, the gaming chair that I use lets me adjust the armrests in multiple directions, so my arms get all the comfort when I lean back while watching a movie. There are also certain gaming chairs that come with a footrest. Manufacturers usually have all the ergonomic features of their gaming chairs clearly mentioned on their product pages, make sure you read them carefully.
Apart from comfort and ergonomics, the fabric can also be a deciding factor when buying a new gaming chair. Depending on the material you choose, these may differ in pricing as well.

Thermaltake X Comfort Leather gaming chair
Leather on gaming chairs can be hard to find as most manufacturers rely on faux leather in the form of PU or PVC leather. The advantage of using genuine leather is that it is durable and can last generations. It is also a more breathable material since it is made out of natural animal skin when compared to its imitating counterparts. Brands like Thermaltake and Noblechairs do sell genuine leather gaming chairs, but they cost a fortune.
PU/PVC Leather
GTRacing PU leather gaming chair
PU leather is a synthetic alternative to genuine leather. It is made out of the material left behind after the top grain layer of genuine leather is taken out from a rawhide along with a polyurethane coating. PVC is also made in a similar way with the base material coated in a mix of polyvinyl chloride. These synthetic leather materials are not as durable or breathable as genuine leather. Hence they are cheaper to make and you can get gaming chairs with PU or PVC leather at a most affordable price. Some well-known brands that make synthetic leather gaming chairs include Anda Seat, DXRacer, and SecretLab.
Mesh
Gaming chairs made out of mesh are the most breathable compared to any other material. However, mesh is very delicate and difficult to clean, especially if you have to remove stubborn stains. They are also typically less durable having a shorter lifespan than any other material. Some of the well-known brands making mesh-based gaming chairs include Respawn, Hyken, and AutoFull.
Fabric
Corsair TC60 Fabric Gaming Chair
Fabric chairs are also an option for customers looking for a soft finish and the best breathable qualities. It is more sweat-resistant and offers less retained heat. The biggest issue with fabric is that it is less resistant to water or any other liquid when compared to leather and its synthetic alternatives. The most important thing to consider while buying a fabric chair is how you prefer your chair, soft or firm. Fabric chairs are usually softer than leather but tend to be less durable.
You can check out fabric gaming chairs from GT Racing, and Corsair.
One size does not fit all
It is important to note that gaming chairs are not limited to people of average height and weight. Certain manufacturers offer chairs in small and large sizes. There are gaming chairs for kids as well as people who are tall and need good legroom. If you are looking for small-sized gaming chairs, check out Arozzi Verona Jr while brands like GT Omega Racing, Anda Seat, and DXRacer offer large and tall gaming chairs.
Price matters
The more money you spend, the more features and premium finish you get. It is that simple. Having said that, gaming chairs are available at fairly affordable prices. You should be able to get an entry-level gaming chair for about $100-$150, with mid-range gaming chairs going up to $250-$300. There is no limit to luxury, and you can end up spending up to $500-$600 for a pure leather or high-quality mesh gaming chair. For the ultimate comfort and premium finish, there is the Herman Miller x Logitech G Embody Gaming Chair which costs an eye-watering $1,595.

Gotta be honest, I think a gaming chair is the most overrated part of a gaming setup! But I am glad people like theirs.

I absolutely love these. My favorite one is the gaming bed. It's missing a mini fridge filled with beer though.
Thanks
