Hello everyone I run the root of this beautiful smartphone , for who is interested this is the guide :
Performed by the PC terminal with 8.1 on Asus ZenFone 2 ze500cl z00d
Download:
1 adb-setup: Download
2 IntelAndroid-FBRL-01-17-2015.7z: Download
3 Binary supersu: Download
Proceed in this way :
Installation adb: very easy , remember to give the admin privileges , give "y" at the items , wait for the end and it's done . more info
Connect the terminal via USB and enable USB debugging menu options developer
Copy in the internal memory of the smartphone (no SD) the zip “UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip”
Decompress on desktop intelAndroid-FBRL-01-17-2015.7z and run (always with admin privileges) “Launcher.bat”. more info
At the opening tipe “ACCEPT” in uppercase and pres send in the window , chek that the status is ok

Now it gets interesting , run T1 it will fail (np) , run T2 it will fail (np) , run T3 it will fail but not at all , and for the time it loads here is the CWM not installed on the smartphone but it works remotely .

Now sailing with the volume key just choose "install zip" giving ok with the power button, select "choose zip from sdcard" give ok,
select "0 /" give ok, select "UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip" confirm and start 'installation, over the' installer & "go back" until the 'Start and select reboot system, the terminal restarts and will have 'root run.

hello.. My system windows 8.1, please let check the cable connection and driver installation under Windows Device Manager " DEVICE STATUS: UNKNOWN "
In addition make sure you have enabled USB debugging menu "Developer options" and check if your device is displaying a prompt authorization to be sure to always check to allow the computer and press ok

Thank you for posting this guide. I have a very noob followup question: once the phone has been rooted, am I limited to installing ROMs that have been customized for the ze500cl? If so, what ROMs for the ze500cl are available? I'd love to find a way to install Android 5.0 AOSP.

Not just so having root permissions you can install various apps like Titanium Backup, Adaway, launch various types of script to get your hands a little everywhere.
Rom have to wait for it unlocked the boot loader and which are cooked the rom, but I think for what it will take more time.:good:

Have you tried T4 on 550CL? This is what works for 551ML/550ML.

That was a typo AgMiki. 500CL. Have you tried T4 is the question. Its the exploit for 550 and 551. If T3 is working, it's a moot point. I'm just curious.

Hello T3 do not have to close not to touch anything more than the program does it all looks the terminal will install cwm and restarts, now follow the steps below and everything will succeed

Hey guys, I hope you know that tobias.waldvogel has created the DRM functions restoration mod (a big thanks to him).

Everything works great now, pictures quality has been restored, I'm getting app notifications through what's new among other things that were lost after unlocking the bootloader.
I noticed that the screen mirroring feature wasn't restored, so I made this mod for the Z5 premium dual.
Just extract and replace:
"build.prop" in root/system and "wfdconfig.xml" in root/system/etc
Change the permissions to rw-r--r--
Restart your mobile
Marshmallow update: Just flash the correct zip package via recovery.

I saw your post and tried to extract and replace the files. Somehow I can't delete or overwrite the existing file.
Can you help me out?

Which file manager are you using? Have you allowed read-write permission.
Install x-plore from play store.
Select configuration.
Change root access to superuser + mount writable.
Open the root folder, grant root access when the pop up window appears and replace the files.
Restart.

Flashable zip added. Just go to recovery and flash.

I did not realise your flashable zip is only for dual Sim phone. I flashed it and now my single Sim phone thinks it's dual Sim. How do I remove this zip to undo the changes?

You'll have to reflash the firmware or just ask someone here with the single sim variant for the 2 files.

It works with Sony bravia LED's/LCD's which have the screen mirroring feature, I do use this feature all the time. I'm not sure about other smart tv's.

Have you resolved the issue buddy? If not, I see you've flashed the RomAur ROM on your phone. Just extract the rom zip file in your pc, go to system, you'll find the build.prop file there, then open etc, you'll get the wfdconfig.xml file from there. Just replace the files in your phone, it should fix the issue.

Hi, I was using the generic Italy ROM. I went back and used flashtool to reflash it without wiping data, and it worked well. Thanks for asking.

This is the first time i am creating a post so if i have done any grammatical mistake while writing down the post then i am sorry but other than that no body else has a right to scold me for any thing. I have been posting videos on youtube about our device but many people find it very difficult to understand what is being don in the video so i decided write down a post on one of the most popular community.
Problems reported after flashing the stock rom (MM).
1. Volte gone
2. Second sim not working (baseband error).
Solution
1.To solve the volte problem you have to be on stock rom and stock recovery so if you don't know how to flash stock rom then go and check out my video tutorial on youtube

Once you have done that then you need to type this code in your phone dialler ####682# and select the country code.

Once installed go into this folder

and then open the software named as Download.
Then click the restore tab .
At this point switch off the phone and the click and hold the volume + and power button together .
Once a menu appears in blue screen asking to boot in several modes just leave it there and connect it to the computer.
The connected port should appear in the port section.
This means the device is connected in diagnostic mode
Now select the qcn file and click start.
Problem solved

Receiving error message
Every time I try to restore my QCN files using QFIs it says Invalid commnad received from phone ... What is the real problem and when I try to restore via QPST it just says checking phone connection (repeats) and failed to restore QCN... What to do

try it only on stock mm rom
it doesn't work on nougat

Your imei too have changed, that you can fix using hex editor and converting your imei to hex and replace in existing qcn file using any hex editor, and flashing qcn again with proper imei, you can change the serial no in same qcn file but its not a big issue it will not create any problem,

By powerin up your phone with pressing vol. Up की and power key, the blue screen emerges is diag mode

Open any hex editor and place the qcn with with you have converted your imei In it and search the existing serial number in it and replace it with your device serial no and save it as you have done with your imei and flash that qcn again using qpst tool

But serial number is not a hex code so how can I find it in my qcn file

Brother first of all flash the qcn which you have downloaded and note down the serial no which came with that qcn, then open hex editor and search the serial no you have noted which was in qcn, now replace it with your device serial no. Which you can found it on various imei checker website,
Now after editing serial no reflash it using qpst tool,
Serial no. Is not written in hex form it will be numeric form you can easily search it in hex editor app and replace it and save it to reflash

The last update for our phone was k33_s231_171114_ROW i have only found a single link that provide qcn file for this version and most importantly mentions the 2gb variant k33a48
can any experienced user confirm that the link and method here are 'ok' that'll be great help

Thanks finally they enabled vowifi for my carrier but treble is not supported

This is stock firmware and can be flash on LB? Not looking to unlock mine yet, I like to wait for a drm solution

So my T-Mobile DE XZ Premium doesn't let itself flash. Flashtool or EMMA says locked.

OK thanks will try I did downlad directly from xperifrm but that resulted the same too. Others have also had the issue on the newflasher thread. Will try without the partition folder. Also the folder wasnt empty I checked it.

Deleting the folder worked! The only issue I had after is that it said my data became corrupt. It had a decrypting issue. It forced me to do a factory reset and I didnt care too much about my data so I did it. Then it said it had to encrypt took like 10 seconds then I was able to boot. All worked after that so it seems like there was an issue woth the partition folder. Not sure what it could be thought but your solution workes. Thanks.

Do you know the IMEI/barcode number of the phone? It's normally 10 digits beginning with a 3. I can use it to find the firmware for you.

Here's the ROM and flashing tool I used: mega.nz/#F!bWBnhYQb!BjHVHTxJRYwYMCB8id7M7w
This is the instructions I followed: androidmtk.com/flash-stock-rom-using-smart-phone-flash-tool
I got android up and running fine, however the IMEI's are missing when and it does not connect to network when I put in a sim.
At the bottom of the previous guide it says there is another guide to load the IMEI's on. Here's the link to that guide: androidmtk.com/use-sn-write-tool
I got stuck on Step 9 as I don't have the AP and MD files. I tried a bunch of files I could find through Google but nothing gave me the pass.
So I found an alternative way to get the IMEI by extracting the MD file from this guide: Youtube.com/watch?v=N6i7Zln1rCE and then loading it through Maui META (this guide forum.hovatek.com/thread-12328.html
Now the IMEI is there and I have signal but mobile data does not work.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if it works for you or if you found any other way to get it working completely. I need some help getting the mobile data working myself so any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Actually the problem was my simcard wasn't detecting the network properly so I just had to manually input the APN.

Oh, previous I encountered a problem of "PMT changed for the ROM, it must be downloaded". But it is easily to fix, just click the "Format" tab, and format it, the problem will be fixed.
And the problem of invalid IMEI, after I put new SIM card into the phone, the problem will be fixed. Thank you very much for you help!
