Look, try this, your s6 should enter in download mode if this is how you try to flash a recovery and install a cooked rom for the model of your s6
Maybe the error of Android system, here is a video to fix this error.

Hi
I just got a Note 3 N9005 out of the box!
When i turned it on every thing was fine but there was no IMEI(Unkown) but the baseband etc was fine.
When i tried to make a call it said not registered on network; So i flashed a modem then the phone boots up but the problem resists!
Then i flashed some other modems but nothing happens! Then i did a hard reset(Recovery--->Factory reset data & wipe cache partition) & the Phone didn't boot!
It's Always stucked on the Galaxy Note 3 logo restarts(boot loop); When i take off the battery for some time and put it back on it boots to the SAMSUNG logo (there are some parasites on this screen)or some times straight to the recovery and stucks till it restarts and boot loop...
Itried:
1.Flashing Rom via Odin
2.Flashing 4 file Rom via Odin
3.Flashing Rom with PIT file via Odin
Please help me! It's very urgent!
Erm....wipe system, data and cache then try re flashing via odin.
I did that!
But when i do that i should reflash it and then boot loop!

Erm....why was you changing the modem in the first place? In the firmware package you should have 3 .tar files. One for system, one for CSC, one for modem. If you dont, try finding a software package that has all these individual files as opposed to just flashing the pda file. In future, try not to mess about with stuff unless you know how to fix it buddy otherwise you'll just end up in the situation you're in now. If what i suggested above doesnt work....a trip to the service centre might be your only option, if knox has been triggered, they might not repair it. Be prepared for disappointment.

Reboot and wipe cache and dalvik cache
Hi all, I just received my s7 Edge -( Samsung Galaxy SM-935F )
I booted up, finished the initial set up, and rebooted...
Ever since, I'm stuck in bootloop.
Super frustrating, as the device is brand new, no root and no custom rom installed!
I'd prefer not to send it in, because I'd be left without a working mobile for the time... :/
I tried to flash latest stock rom (from sammobile.com) via latest odin, but no luck...
I do get in recovery. Here i've:
1. wiped cache partition
2. did a factory reset
but still no luck.
I also tried to recover to stock rom with SMART SWITCH for pc... still no luck.
When I'm in recovery, and hit 'Reboot system now" I can see the following error:
"E:failed to mount /data (invalid argument)"

for a millisecond just before jumping in boot loop again.
Any ideas are really appreciated! :/ Thank you

Why would you play around trying to recover a brand new new unless you caused the problem?
I would highly suggest that you guys stop trying and send it back before you do something that will trip Knox. LoL
Return the phone. Don't take a chance, especially if the phone is new.

Not sure why you are asking but here is why I'm trying to recover a brand new (bricked) phone:
1. I ain't scared of a soft bricked phone
2. I only went through set up and rebooted
3. was hoping for a tip or maybe even a solution as it boots into recovery
4. Still easter holidays here. shops are closed
5. got it with a contract... So most likely they won't just give me a new one, I will have to send it in
6. I won't have a phone in the meantime

Hello everyone, hope all is well.
I was trying to install a factory ROM for my Galaxy S7 Edge and during the process, I believe I went and flashed a wrong ROM file (I think it was Galaxy S6 Edge's).
Anyways, due to that, my phone is completely bricked (softbricked? because I can turn it on?).
The problem I'm having is that when I turn on the device normally, it will show the GALAXY S7 EDGE logo but then it'd go straight into recovery mode.
In the recovery mode, it'd say "dm-verity verification failed.. " , "E: failed to mount /system (Invalid argument)". Then when I press Apply update from ADB/SD Card, it gives an error saying "Update from external storage is disabled".
I am able to get into the download mode also and downloaded correct factory ROM and flashed it but it gives me an error saying "Odin protocol version error" in the phone, and in Odin, it stops at "Initializing..." and the program crashes after 5 minutes or so.
I there anything I can do to unbrick this dude? I've been searching all over the place yesterday and could't find a right solution for me so I decided to write one myself.
Thanks in advance and I'll appreciate any help.

First of all why were you trying to flash a stock Rom? Next its a piece of cake take it to your local warranty store and ask them to flash your stock ROM as long as you didn't try to root it they should fash it for you. I've done it many times. Just tell them you were charging it overnight and had it turned off and when you booted up the next morning it was going crazy.
As I said if you weren't trying to root they should do it for you.

I was on a rooted Galaxy S7 firmware for development purpose but I wanted to take it back to factory setting and un-root the device by installing a fresh new one.

Well now I couldn't flash any of the firmwares out there that I found. I kept on getting the same error stated above. It is usa at&t model.
Perhaps, is there a custom ROM and/or other steps you'd recommend me to try?
Thanks for your replies though, I appreciate it very much.

I will try what you have suggested. But isn't twrp only install-able when the phone is actually turned on to OS? As far as I've researched, I saw that it needs to have developer mode on.

i am not a dev mate just learn from observation lol but from other devices i have seen them bricked if thats not been allowed in dev options but i am not 100% sure on this one service center is probs you best bet as some one said earlier as am sure if thats not checked nothing can be flashed as that command allows it its like the bootloader is still locked kind of thing
I would take it a service repair center before messing it up anymore, just to be on the safe side, you never know with these things, yeah it might be fixable but if knox isn't voided then you can just have it repaired properly for free.

Long story short,I tried to download grade my brothers s7 edge from stock nougat to stock marshmellow. Used odin to flash the bl,ap,cplease and csc but it was just failed attempt after failed attempt. Yes drivers were installed and reinstalled multiple times
Then I read try flashing without bl and here I am...recovery won't boot ip
I have been out of the xda for awhile ever since the galaxy s2.
I tried googling "recovery booting flashing" but couldn't find any info, but my best guess is that the it's gone somehow.
Any ideas on how to fix before I get a replacement? Yes I can get into download mode.

Try to redownload the firmware using a hard wired connection if possible. Could be a bad download.
