If you're rooted, just delete the original YouTube app with root permissions(any file explorer with root permissions on /system/app) or titanium backup or other apps doing similar.

You can follow steps from strongst or use an another alternative like "NewPipe" Github Releases)
You can also using TWRP file explorer if you encounter some difficulties to delete Youtube

thanks will have a look, why havent you rooted yet, quiet a few options now to root, had mine done in under 2 minutes, and yet am terrible when it comes to rooting.
titanium backup (can remove some useless stock apps: PostCard, Chinse Keybord, BBC playr ...; freezes some apps that you dont use: SE sync, TimeScape ..., and move apps to sd: XP games other than the stock one, FPSE ...)
busybox
adFree
sd speed increase (it really works!!)
To ad some more:
Screenshot apps.
Fontchanger.
Root explorer (filemanager).
Terminal emulater (changing/overwriting/modding/moving files in /system/).
Widget locker (does work without root, but gives you an option to work better with root permission).
Metamorph (don't know if it works on the XP or without unlocked bootloader).
Regards Dousan...

Nope you can download and install emulators from the market
as for the roms just put them in a folder where you can easily find your roms
No root required
I didn't root my xperia play yet but planning to root apps I use on my x10 are
Link2sd
Ad remover
systcl config
titanium backup

If you root you can delete a lot of standard installed apps, removing them safes battery life significantly in my experience.

[Q] OmniROM root?

So I installed OmniROM (4.4.2 mint) onto an Xperia T (LT30p) and it works perfectly. Except one thing; I seem to have lost root access, with SuperSU not being able to install it's binary files. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Thank you very much, root now works
ask the rom maintainers to add that in first post of xda thread or whatever source you got the rom from.

no sms to mms converstion apk

hey.
can i extract this apk from one of the roms here-like the omega rom that has this feature, and install it in a stock rom 4.4.2?
or i just have to install the rom from scratch.
i thought on rooting this phone, use root uninstall app, remove the stock messages app,and then install the extracted apk with the no conversion feature.
what do you say-will it work?
thanks.

If you have rooted your phone..
Then just download wanam xposed from the play store
When you download wanam.xposed, it will automatically ask you to download xposed installer
When youre done installing both..open xposed installer..go in framework..and press install..
Youre done..now you can use wanam xposed freely

there's a bunch of apps there. Open the zip file G900IDVU1ANE1_Mods_v2-djb77.zip and go to apps section. There is adaway 2.2 which works perfectly fine for me. Hope it helps

Just delete it and good...
Flashed the customized AU and yes, you can only disable it, but not deinstall

I think he ask to REMOVE spotify, not to simple disable it, because if Spotify is a system app you can't remove and install any spotify modded version.

With root you can delete every system app you want. I have no Spotify on my phone.
