try this one from this post http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/help/guide-how-to-root-mod-australian-t2904970
this is the link directly to the file for download
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2989481&stc=1&d=1414551694
there's a bunch of apps there. Open the zip file G900IDVU1ANE1_Mods_v2-djb77.zip and go to apps section. There is adaway 2.2 which works perfectly fine for me. Hope it helps

Just install AdAway from playstore. It blocks adds by editing the host file.
Thx bro!!!
Get AdAway from here http://f-droid.org/wiki/page/org.adaway. Not available at Play anymore, all adblockers are removed from Play by Google.

Words that should never be said on a tech forum... "All I know is..." -- If you don't know what it is or what it does, leave it alone

Autorun management on Android Lollipop

Ever since updating my Nexus 5 to Android 5.0, I've found that you can't manage startup. I tried Clean Master, Autostarts, and Autorun Manager, but none of them works.
Please assist me in finding a solution. Thanks.
Anybody? Well, can the "Autorun" in the thread title be changed to "Startup" at least?

you can use app ops, the lastest version can do that
Do you mean the one by Lars Team? I just tried that, but disabling an autostart doesn't stick, it's enabled again when I recheck.

you can use this app to remove the permissions and it does not require root too..
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmail.heagoo.apkpermremover&hl=es_419
Does that manage startup entries? Doesn't look like it, and App Ops seem to manage permissions fine.
Greenify?

You can remove the unnecessary permissions like boot with the phone...
Greenify is an option, but I'd rather not depend on another running process... Oh well, have to make do with it for now.
Just tried APK Permission Remover. It requires you to uninstall, then reinstall the app. Too much trouble keeping up-to-date.
Simply deactivate the app.

yes man thats it ...i deactivate chrome and cant Start it when i need it...facepalm
Send from my Nexus 5 with Tapatalk
Just flash Pie Patch
you should just flash the pie patch via recovery, it solves a lot of the problems root apps have in lollipop, including the startup one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/development/fix-bypassing-pie-security-check-t2797731
Sounds risky and unclear, maybe someone else can try?

I agree, you should try it first, let us know how it goes...
What do you know, they just started working again for me... Didn't patch anything, just updated normally.
Autostarts has been updated to support lollipop.
Kingroot, but its also do more than I need.

google keybaord giving me trouble w/ reinstall [solved]

Seems pure nexus had some weird bug going to the latest version from the one before it, had to clean flash :/ instead of usual upgrade route to fix it.
--------------------- ORIGINAL POST
running purenexus and my google keyboard app seemingly won't uninstall. It was installed to system first, I updated my ROM to latest version and then updated the keyboard app and then it began crashing when selecting settings. uninstalled it and deleted from app and app priv folders.. and when i reinstall i get the error in the pic attached.
i just want my google keyboard back lol i don't like using flesky. thanks! image for reference below...

Hey... I don't know how to get your Gboard back... I've read about it FC with 03-17 PureNexus release. Not sure it was in the N6P or Pixel XL forum.
If you want, I have a temporary fix for you. I guess you know about "Them Ready Gapps"?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/apps-themeable-hangouts-layers-cmte-t3113192
This is a link for their last zip: http://teamblackedout.com/Gapps/GoogleApps-ThemeReady-arm64-LP-MM-N-v31.0-Aroma.zip
Install in TWRP with aroma installer. Once launched, select only gboard. It should put the app back in the proper place. Once installed, you can go to the playstore and update it normally if you wish...
Good luck... :good:
