fastboot oem unlock
fastboot flash recovery ***.img

restore to chinese version cant OTA, will get a big red "!" in recovery...

I have been out of the custom recovery world too long and never tried on a watch before. Trying to flash twrp on my new TW Pro (H) so I can flash janjans rom. Have ADB and drivers (windows 7), have twrp.img ready.
cmd prompt not recognizing adb command. Cant remember how to proceed...how to open fasboot, unlock bootloader.
I know im missing something simple but stuck. Can anyone help jumpstart me?
Update: Got twrp installed after flailing about for awhile. Bottom line, operator error.

This may be the wrong place to post, but I can't seem to find my issue anywhere and I'm getting a little desperate.
I'm Stuck! Accidentally deleted 'system' int twrp when deleting data for a reset for the watch. Now no OS installed and computer doesn't want to recognize the ticwatch pro through usb (directly attached to dock and then usb to windows 10). I'm not sure it's a driver issue because it should at least be recognized in device manager as 'unknown' but nothing is showing. I now only have bootloader and twrp recovery on my watch. I have everything I need to reinstall the os, but without a way to connect to the watch I can't move the files to the watch to flash it, nor can I connect through usb to push them over! I'm stuck! I'm missing something simple I'm sure, but I don't know what? I just want a way to connect the watch from it's dock to windows 10 through usb cable from watch dock. Then I'm good to go. But I can't.
HELP Please!

Did you try running fastboot from bootloader? Also maybe try sideload the rom from twrp, that worked for me.

That is probably a faulty USB cable, try a different cable or a different PC, Windows 10 should recognize your watch automatically and if you have generic adb drivers previously installed, it should work.
You may also try to manually install the drivers from here:

Thanks. I've tried three different chargers (though I'm not sure if the other two that I bought are actually capable of transmitting data) and three different computers. I ordered a new charger that says it is able to transmit data, so hopefully when that arrives it will work. Makes no sense to me that I can get into bootloader and twrp and yet not see the watch in device manager.

Thanks for the reply. I've got 4 different chargers (including the oem one) two of the additional ones I have state they are capable of data sync. I've tried them on 3 different computers and the watch doesn't not show in device manager, recognized or otherwise. I just can't see this as a cable issue, but I don't know what else to think. I just received the newest sync cable I ordered the other day (now my fourth) and still nothing. I'm stuck. If it would at least show in device manager then it would only be a matter of drivers, but it doesn't. Seems a little odd to me that it stopped when I accidentally deleted the OS. The OS isn't even required for bootloader or TWRP and both of those load on the watch. I can't figure it out and I opened a repair ticket with Mobvoi a few days ago, but there has been no response yet. So frustrating!

You deleted the OS? What do you mean by that? Is the watch still working on its own?
Sounds to me like a faulty connector, I would send it back if it is still under warranty.

I wiped the system folder by mistake. I got click happy when doing an advanced wipe. My fat thumbs ticked the system folder. So no OS installed now. Just bootloader and TWRP. But since the watch isn't recognized by any PC on any of the 4 cables I have, I can't move a Rom on to it to flash it. Nor can I push one over on adb as neither fastboot in bootloader or adb in TWRP see the watch. Not a driver issue since I've tried every one I could find and because device manager doesn't see the watch at all, know or unknown.

Try 1. Flash boot.img via fastboot
2. Reboot and connect, check via adb if it's detected
3. Install via sideload ROM
(adb sideload file.zip)

This issue was that I couldn't connect with fastboot at all. That being said, it turns out the problem was with the watch itself. Mobvoi, replaced the watch with a brand new one free of charge so it's all good now.

Any chance you have, or know of, a TWRP for the TicWatch E2/S2 ?
Would be much appreciated.

Hey, is it possible to connect a SD card or usb flash drive to the watch via otg when booted into twrp to create a full backup?

Hello, what would I need to do in order to port this to the TicWatch Pro 2020? The hardware is almost identical, except it has more RAM, the codename is catfish_ext. I have an unlocked bootloader and tried to boot this recovery, but I get FAILED (remote: 'dtb not found').
EDIT: Nevermind, I have found that the recovery for the 4G EU verison also works with mine. Here is the link to a working image: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1XNejRoLecLeadEj1CAW_zrTUP5bkUJZ8/view?usp=sharing

[Q] Nexus 7 - No Charge, No USB Connection

Hello All,
Basically, while Nexus is on it does not charge or even recognize a charge from anything, and it also does not recognize when plugged in via USB to my PC.
This occurred a week ago, noticeably a few days after installing MultiROM for testing. I thought MultiROM may have been the cause so went entirely back to stock ROM but still not working.
Couple things that I have noticed... When using MultiROM my drivers are no longer recognized as they should, but instead as Andriod bootloader. I had uninstalled and reinstalled new drivers to allow the flash and correction to Stock, which did work, but now nothing even remotely similar to my Nexus is showing up in my Devices. I have double checked with multiple cords, still no luck... I will say that I have not Enabled USB Debugging because I cannot. Every time I attempt to enable USB Debugging, the Nexus freezes up and reboots... I'm thinking this is the root cause of the issue or there is a fluke bad pin issue in my internals of the Nexus...
It seems that I cannot work in fastboot or adp mode as the USB is not recognized...
I've searched for several days for hours at a time for more info on this, but no luck! Any thoughts and help would be helpful!
Thanks!

Try doing a factory reset first, then see if USB debugging works.
If it won't work, could you try downloading a normal recovery on your device and installing without fastboot and adb connection with computer (I think that is possible, not sure). Is download, boot into recovery and flash like a ROM. Sorry if that's all wrong, I did Google but found nothing, yet I'm sure I did that to install a newer version of twrp???
Also, if you have root, could you try using adb over WiFi, this should work the same, although there is no fastboot.
Good luck!

Thanks for providing more information on this. I have done a Factory Reset via Settings and also via Recovery, but still not available.
I think I'm making progress with adb via Ubuntu over USB, but USB Debugging still gives the Epic crash and still will not charge while On, which is more just annoying than anything else.
Asus/Google Support are saying it is a physical pin issue, but that doesn't explain why USB Debugging is failing. Does anyone know where the USB files are contained? I'm wondering if I've messed up at the Kernel level. Any thoughts?
About my Nexus - More Info
I forgot that I should provide more information about what I'm running:
Phone: Nexus 7
Android Version: 4.2.2
Kernel version: 3.1.10-g05b777c
Build number: JDQ39
Prior to issue also had:
Recovery: TWRP
ROM: Stock JDQ39
MultiROM: Yes
UPDATE
So after more work on my Ubuntu we have found more information and seem to have narrowed down the issue! :fingers-crossed:
I have been able to flash via Fastboot just fine, which has thus allowed me to get TWRP installed and now I'm back rooted. I still cannot adb via USB though. We've double checked with multiple Nexus 7's of the same type, which allow command: adb devices and their devices will show, while it does not for my device. (Side note: my version of Ubuntu does not "see" the adb command in its pwd so... But tests have been done on other machines and worked...)
So after sifting down to adb issues, we found that in /data/property I'm missing persist.sys.root_access and persist.sys.usb.config ... But creation of persist.sys.usb.config didn't do anything...

[Q] Bricked Updating to CM11

Hey guys any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated on this matter. I will try to be as detailed as possible but I'm trying to fix this phone for a friend and he isn't very phone savvy. From what I understand, he was previously on CM10 and tried updating to CM11 using the cmupdater. For some reason it failed and he was stuck in TWRP. When he tried to reboot it kept kicking him back to recovery. He took his phone to a phone repair shop who then wiped his device. At this point he gave me the phone to try to fix.
First of all I have working fastboot and adb drivers for my Nexus 5 so I don't think this is a driver issue but I'm no expert on the Nexus 4 so I could be wrong. I'm also running Windows 8.1 if this is any relevance.
I can still access the devices bootloader (ver MAKOZ20i)
I can still access TWRP (ver 2.6.0.0)
When plugging the device into my USB 2.0 ports, nothing shows up in my device manager in bootloader, TWRP, or TWRP ADB sideload.
When plugging the device into my USB 3.0 ports, I see 'Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)' and the Device Instance Path is 'USB\VID_0000&PID_0002\7&20F39B9B&0&2' in bootloader, TWRP, or TWRP ADB sideload.
I've never heard of a device not being seen at all in by USB 2.0 ports but showing using USB 3.0 ports so I attempted to give extra juice to the phone using a powered USB OTG cable. Still nothing shows up.
I've tried running 'fastboot device' and 'adb devices' with no luck.
I think I've covered all the bases... can anyone think of anything that could help me re-install a new rom or factory reset or his he out of luck?
I think it may be a Win8 problem. You have access to another machine with Win7 or WinXP?
Install "universal driver.exe" in win7, than connect phone while power off, I think it'll install driver...than push any custom ROM to phone via adb or just flash any official IMG..
Well I can tell you WHY it didn't work. That version of TWRP is not able to install 4.4 (CM11). if you manage to successfully push via adb and get it started again, make sure to flash the newest version of TWRP before trying that again.
Thanks for the reply guys. I kind of guessed that the version of TWRP was not compatible as I installed CM11 on my old Nook Tablet and had to update my recovery before installing it. Unfortunately the guys who wiped the phone prevented me from installing an old version of CM10 that my friend probably had from the cmupdater.
As for Windows 8 being the issue.. I attempted to try to use my laptop which runs Windows 7 but was unable to get anything to happen. Since the laptop only had USB 2.0 ports, plugging in the device to any of the ports did the exact same thing as what it did on my desktop (Windows doesn't even recognize anything is connected). I still get the charge animation on the phone but yea... nothing in device manager. I'm thinking of running Linux from a live installation to see if anything different happens, unfortunately its been ages since I've touched Linux so this is kind of a last ditch effort here.
Any other thoughts?

One more, when you plug into usb 3.0 you can see unknown device Right ??
If yes, download driver files from here Here.
It's a zip contains .inf files, Now click on unknown device and select update drivers then give the path to these drivers manually.
Hope this will help you out.
I'm pretty convinced at this point that the phone can't be fixed by me. Running it through Ubuntu I can't see the device at all (USB 2 & 3) when running the lsusb command but it sees my nexus 5 just fine. I even tried modifying drivers to match vendor id product id and class id as reported by windows. Thanks for the suggestions. Does anyone know of a reputable service to get this phone repaired? How much does a JTAG repair usually cost?

Oneplus 2 Bricked, Help!

Hi!, I have a bricked Oneplus 2 so heres how it happened
My device was running oxygen os 3.0 with TWRP 3.0 and I decided to flash the resurrection remix ROM on my phone through twrp, and when I did flash it I think it gave me some error code, and then I rebooted my phone and now its stuck in a bootloop with no OS installed.
I tried going to TWRP and adb was not working and adb side load was not working, I went to fastboot and my computer wont detect my device through fastboot. I tried first aid kit and my phone was not being detected. I did try this with using 2 other computers running windows 10 and I tried it with a computer running Linux Mint. How ever when I check in Device Manager It shows "communications port (COM1) I tried updating that driver with the Oneplus 2 Qualcom drivers and it gave me a error code 10 and I tried installing an ADB interface driver to that to and I got the same error code 10. I also tried this method below with no luck.

I caint do any thing in twrp to, but I heard that there was a problem with twrp 3.0 that you caint transfer any files to pc, I think you might fix the problem by getting a usb type c usb otg and flashing the stock rom from there possibly. but I doint want to pay the price for it right now, but hopefully I will find a solution

It should work if your phone is recognized by fastboot, you have to download stock rom fastboot file and extract it, then connect your phone to fastboot to pc, then in the stockrom file click the run-all.bat and your phone should work but the problem with my phone is that my phone is not being recognized by fastboot

Just to refresh, the problem that we are looking at is that your PC does not recognize our phone (Driver Problem)
So together we have to find a solution to this driver problem, so this is the main problem. I myself am running Windows 10

I think i need to get in my hands PC with Win7. i also came that conclusion the problem is Windows.
Oneplus drivers (/D) just keep pop-upping asking what todo, when selected nothing happens
EDIT: is it possible install proper softwares via USBstorage?
Guys, I am running a dual boot machine (windows 7 and 10) and on both there is not even a sign of detection. Same is happening on another laptop which runs on windows 7 too. Only phone boots to bootloader on connected (like a charger and nothing else).
Just before my fp stopped working. Last time it did, my usb type c cable also died. This time I don't know since I directly restored from twrp and did not connect it to my pc. There is a slight chance that our usb type c cables have malfunctioned (which is better than permanent brick). If you have any access/ friend with that cable please try it. If it works we might be in luck.
Note: SirMika, For you usb is working, you do not need to try this, did you try flashing revert files

I just got a Linux Mint virtual machine and still the phone is not being detected via ADB and Fastboot in Linux Mint, I think the only possible solution that we have is purchasing a USB Type C USB OTG and Side-loading a ROM on their and flashing it through recovery. But this possible solution is for people who still have access to their recovery and luckily I do.

Update! I know why our phones are bricked! when we installed custom roms you wiped the phone right. I was reading that there was a new feature in android in which you wipe the phone with a password, the bootloader gets locked. So I believe that our devices now have a locked bootloader

Bricked Oneplus 2 (SOLVED)

**UPDATE I have unbricked my phone and the whole time I thought it was a software issue on my phone but it was a cable, I guess my cable got broken when I bricked my phone and I thought it was a software issue but it was not the whole time**
I have a bricked device and I would appreciate your help and I have tried EVERYTHING!!
here is how my oneplus 2 got bricked, I was on stock oxygen os 3.0 and rooted and I had twrp recovery 3.0.
So I did a full wipe on my device and when I was flashing the resurrection remix rom in twrp it said "Error 7" so then I reboot my phone and I was in a bootloop with no os.
I went back to twrp and flash the rom again and it not work. So then I tryed to transfer a file through my computer to my device and twrp was not recognizing it and tryed adb sideload and same thing and even in cmd I
typed "adb devices" and it not recognize it and I have the drivers installed, the 15 second 1click adb and fastboot.
And then I went to fastboot mode and then I tried first aid kit and the qualcomm mega unbrick guide and all the methods and still my oneplus 2 is not being recognized by PC and I am using the official oneplus 2 usb type c cable.
I have tried 2 windows 10 PC and I turned driver signniture enforcement off for the qualcomm drivers and nothing in device manager
I tried 1 Windows 7 PC and same thing and nothing in device manager
And I tried a Linux Mint virtual machine and I typed adb devices and fastboot device in the terminal and it was not recognizing it even though I installed the packages
So do you think the problem might be the cable? because it is the official one. But my device charges through the cable to and the cable was working before my phone got bricked. Or is it a driver problem? What do you guys think and please help and I will really appreciate it and thank you.

If your recovery mode is TWRP.. Then goto Mount -> Data
Then your computer will show your oneplus 2.
If still its not showing then update Driver Software of phone in device manager.

I tried both mount data on and off and still no luck, I have mtp enabled in twrp. I also checked device manager and there is nothing showing up. But twrp says that my phone is charging when my phone is connected to pc. I think the problem is probably the cable because the usb end of the cable looks sort of damaged, And I tried a Type-C OTG and put a usb on that and TWRP was not recognizing it

Fastboot Not Recognized

I am not able to get Fastboot to reconginze my One Plus 6T. I have reinstalled the drivers numerous times to no avail. I have changed ports to no avail. I have change USB cables to no avail. Is anyone else having a similar problem and if so, any solution?
BTW, I am using a Windows 10 computer.
Also, I was able to install the International Version on my TMO variant One Plus 6T via the MSM tool method, so the drivers appear to be installed correctly.
Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Delete the drivers you have installed, boot into fastboot and have Windows automatically detect and install for you. Have you tried that? What source did you get your fastboot drivers from?

Msmdownload drivers are not the same at all, they are Qualcom drivers. Uninstall your fastboot drivers and let windows install them

Oh man, I had issues getting my 6t to connect to my PC when I first got my 6t. The answer for me was to plug my phone into a USB 2.0 port on the BACK of my PC instead of the front USB ports my PC has. Try using the back USB ports and let me know if that works for you!
Thank you all. I will try these suggestions later today and report back.
I tried the suggestions and still no success in fastboot connecting with my device. Thanks again for the suggestions.
After trying to multiple times reinstall the drivers, manually selecting "Android Bootloader Interface" did the trick for me on win10:
wtfandroid.com/fix-fastboot-device-not-recognised-problem/
Issue resolved. Selected Android Bootloader Interface in Device Manager and fastboot recognized my device. Unlocked Bootloader, installed TWRP and Magisk. Root achieved.
Thank you all!!!

Thank you! I can't believe I didn't think to check that.
it is solved for me oneplus 6t not recognized in fastboot
{ solved for me } hello brother, i got this problem also my head was about to explosing, install/uninstall drivers and adb drivers also, without any success, when the device is on normal mod the adb terminal can recognize it and in fastboot mod not recognize my devie (the list empty).
i was trying to install TWRP, so i have reboot my device to fastboot mod, and i didn't think about List of devices (because it not show my device) i wrote the comand to install TWRP directly so it success to install 100%,
so no need to write : adb devices when your device is in fastboot mod, it will not show you in the list, but you can apply what you want normally
good luck

Hello. I am having the same issues. But can you provide more steps on how to install TWRP. Can you provide the command/steps used to directly install TWRP?
Thank you.

This is why I use Linux in my LOS Install Guide. You can boot Linux from a USB without installing it. Fastboot and ADB just work, without any drivers. Install TWRP, reboot and your PC will be back to windows. My guide covers installing TWRP.
Really need help. I'm going in circles and wasting a lot of time:
I'm attempting to root a OP6T A6013. Its already been unlocked.
My device is recognized when powered up as an ADB device.
But when i boot into the bootloader it isnt recognized as a fastboot device, and my laptop (Win 8.1) shows ""device malfunctioned. USB not recognized". I've also been trying to install the OP driver but I'm not sure its working correctly. But would that cause the problem with recognizing fastboot?
I've root my OP7Pro (twice, actually) and though I had some driver issues then eventually figured it out. But I never had issues with fastboot.
Any tips or direction?
Hey all , replying to share my solution to this exact problem I was having..
My OP6T (T-Mobile converted to international) was not showing in fastboot devices but showed in ADB.. after hours of searching google and XDA , I ended up just plugging my 6T into another computer and it worked! , instantly recognized my device without hassle.
So just a fyi, it could be something simple as switching USB ports or even another computer.
hopefully this helps if someone get's stuck at this point.
I had this issue with a OP8Pro... I went to Windows Update and selected View Optional Updates and found Android Bootloader Device on the list. I selected this to download, and then fastboot worked perfectly.
