Anyone here actually got Daydream VR and all of the daydream apps running properly on the OP5?
So I was getting bored and decided to play around with Daydream on the OP5. I have bought a Daydream VR headset with controller and unlocked VR using the flashable from Shadowstep. The Daydream app shows up in the Play Store and everything seems to be running fine with the headset. However, majority of the Daydream compatible apps does not run in split screen mode, Twilight Pioneer, Wonderglade, Rez Infinite and BBC just to name a few examples. When I run those apps, I just get the full screen and not the split VR screen. Apps like Daydream, Google Photos and YouTube VR works fine though.
Searching through Google and various forums, heaps of people has brought this up but no one has really said anything about a fix (if its something that can be fixed). So I thought I would post here to see if anyone has been successful with running Daydream on OP5.

Hey all, new account and first post.
Without further ado, I can't seem to get local 3D videos to work on my Galaxy S4 with Cardboard, and unless I'm using the wrong search terms, Google has no information about my issue whatsoever. I should clarify that any type of 2D format works fine, even 360 degree formats, but if it's supposed to be in 3D, with depth and all that, I just can't get it to work. Either I get a blank screen, a blank screen with audio, or just an incompatibility warning. I've tried 3 different apps, VaR's VR player, AAA VR Cinema, and VR Player Free, but none of them do any good. The videos I've tried to play so far are mp4s.
Normally I can solve technical problems on my own, but this one has me completely stumped. Any ideas?
had same problem with GS4 - i think GS4, being a fairly old device, doesn't support two-channel 1080p decoding. not sure if this is the same problem you were experiencing.
Hey Guys,
recently when I use my Gear VR and watch a youtube video for example the whole interface veeeery slowly moves to the left! Does any of you have the same issue? I wonder if it has something to do with the oculus software (you know sometimes they break stuff when they update it) or are my sensors on my device defective? Can I test my sensors somehow or reset them?
Anyone? is there a way the calibrate the gyroscope? and what apk is for the samsung device test that comes when input *#0*#? i debloadet and it doesn't pop up anymore.
I have a S8+ on Verizon, and after rooting I am having some weird problems in Gear VR. When you first put boot up Gear VR it works excellent, maybe even better than before root. But if you take the headset off so that the screen shuts off and leave if off for about 10-15 seconds (but not removing the phone from the headset) two things happen. When you put it back on, it is clear when you are still, but there is severe motion blur when you turn your head. Secondly, the screen brightness stays at max no matter where you put the slider in setting. If you take the phone out of the headset, and then put in back in again, everything is normal until you take it off and try to put it back on.
Part of the fun of VR is passing it to people, but now it is no longer possible!
I was trying to troubleshoot it but I can't quite figure out what is happening. It has the motion blur even with one eye shut. It doesn't show up on the recording as far as I can tell. I didn't use gear vr for a few weeks prior to rooting so I am not sure if this is a global Gear VR problem from one of their updates, or if this is coming from the SamPWND root. Has anyone experienced this?
I did also try uninstalling and reinstalling Gear VR and Oculus if anyone was wondering. I tried this in the S8+ section but got no response.
Looking to buy LYB android version, got any info on games like PUBG, bullet force, etc. On this tablet? Lag? Stutter?
I just installed it to do a little test. Pugh seems to be running fine on "smooth" settings (lowest). I only played for like 15 minutes or so. I also set it to balanced settings for a short while, and it seems to be ok to.
The sound has some stutters in the menu though.
i play it with a ps4 control and it works fine for me. root and "sixaxis controller" app required for remote.
Ya even I am gonna buy Lenovo yoga book Android...so wanted to check out that does it run smoothly....??
Good evening folks,
I'm having an issue that has only started since receiving the Android 12 OTA update a week or so ago. Some apps no longer seem to output any audio, while others have no issues at all. The problem seems to be specifically with just a few apps. The main two I've noticed it with are Xbox Game Pass and RetroArch, both from the Google Play Store. I think there are one or two other Android game apps with the same issue, but I can't immediately recall which they are. Media apps (Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, Amazon Music, etc) all work fine. I've tried jumping between Game Pass and YouTube without touching any settings during my troubleshooting, and sure enough, the sound only works on YouTube.
I've tried outputting with the phone speaker as well as via Bluetooth, but notice no difference in result. I've verified that my phone's audio is not muted, and that the media volume is turned up.
A little more info on my device. It's a Galaxy S10+, Verizon network, OTA Android 12, not rooted or modified in any other way.
I feel like I'm overlooking something simple, but any help would be appreciated!
