Separate access point for mms

Hey guys, I want to disable my data and leave mms enabled.so I am going to use the app called toggle data. Since the app disables the apn that includes both data and mms settings, how can I set up a separate access point just for mms?
I just don't know what field to fill under new apn settings.
Edit: I use these settings in the 1 apn that I have.
Name: Rogers Internet
APN: rogers-core-appl1.apn
Proxy: Not Set
Port: Not Set
Username: Not Set
Password: Not Set
Server: Not Set
MMSC: http ://mms.gprs.rogers.com
MMS proxy: 10.128.1.69
MMS port: 80
MCC: 302
MNC: 720
APN Type: Not Set

When you use "Toggle Data widget", you will get an option to keep MMS enabled

Yes but by that it means it will not disable the separate MMS access point.

I have tried it, it still disables my MMS
Hmm, odd... Works a treat for me... Maybe it's a network issue... If your provider use the same APN for both data and MMS, then that would probably be the issue...
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
When you set an extra access point make sure everything is exactly the same except for "APN TYPE" simply put mms. If you did it right, the mms access point will no longer be selectable.
this method works on AT&T

using US Vibrant in china

has anyone used their vibrant in china? i have purchased a sim card through china mobile and my phone works but i am unable to set up my data for it and having problems setting it up.
Here's the APN setting for China Mobile:
APN:CMNET
Proxy: Not Set
Port: Not Set
Username: Not Set
Password: Not Set
Server: Not Set
MCC:460
MNC:00
Authentication type:CHAP
APN type: internet + mms
im being told that i need to change the apn to cmwap
and ip address to 10.0.0.172
I dont know how to change the ip address . under your settings, i made them the same and as soon as i turn my phone on i see data for a second, but then it goes away
With cmwap, you can only access wap site. cmnet gives you the full access of internet. Have you enabled any mobile data package of China Mobile? You can check it (and enable it) through their website or just call 10086.
yes i did but ill have my translator call.

OpenVPN on T-Mobile Note 4

For those that need to use OpenVPN on your Note 4, you may notice that you cannot connect to your OpenVPN server.
This is because the default APN for T-Mobile is using IPv6. To change it back to IPv4, you will need to create a new APN. Below are the steps to do this.
1. Open "Settings"
2. Go to the "Network Connections" section and tap on "More Networks".
3. Tap on "Mobile Networks".
4. Tap on "Access Point Names".
5. Tap on the "+" at the top of the screen.
6. Enter the following settings.
Name: any name you want
APN: fast.t-mobile.com
Proxy: Not set
Port: Not set
Username: Not set
Password: Not set
Server: Not set
MMSC: See attached image. This forum will not let me add links because I haven't posted 10 times.
Multimedia message proxy: Not set
Multimedia message port: Not set
MCC: 310
MNC: 260
Authentication type: Not set
APN type: default,mms,supl
APN protocol: IPv4
APN roaming protocol: IPv4
Enable/disable APN: checked or "APN enabled"
Bearer: Unspecified
Mobile virtual network operator type: None
Mobile virtual network operator value: Not set
7. Click on the icon that looks like three dots in the corner and tap on the "save" button.
8. Choose the new APN you created as your default.
These settings should not interfere with your T-Mobile service. I've been using these settings since I got the Note 4 and it seems like everything is running as it should.
This is very useful. Going to give it a shot tonight.
While you are making these changes, you can also solve the issue with sending mms over wifi.
Seems like people have a problem sending mms when connected to wifi. To solve this issue change the following setting:
Multimedia message port: 80
By default and in the settings I posted, this setting was "not set". Changing it to port 80 should solve your problems if you have encountered them. You should be able to just edit this setting since you already created a new APN that works with OpenVPN. The APN that is entered in by tmobile is not editable.

APN settings for T-Mobile?

Can't seem to find these and wondering whether to use the settings for the 6?
Use the settings from the Nexus6 for the T-Mobile APN...
Use the default APN for T-Mobile.
If you accidentally messed with it then reset the apns to default in the menu of apn.

I edited mine to work for MMS and data. These are what you need to change/add.
APN Sytle: default,supl,mms
MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
APN Protocol: IPv4/IPv6
If I add dun to my apn will this hide my tethering usage?
No! If you want to enable the no tether check, you have to edit the build.prop.
So I found this and many other threads about APN settings on t-mobile while I was trying to fix my issue of not being able to send or receive MMS messages. Long story short, now even after restoring to default settings, I can't get a data connection back. I didn't look at what my APN settings were originally, so now am I screwed?
