My phone started behaving very strangely, turning on/off randomly and freezing for long periods. I used twrp to wipe my phone in a desperate attempt to get it working again, but unfortunately it only made my device worse. I tried to flash stock firmware since it started acting up but the device isn't able to connect to my computer as I had usb debugging switched off, the phone is in such a state where I can't get past my sim pin screen as it freezes then turns itself off each time. I wish I had thought really cannot afford another phone just now so I would like to know if it is salvageable or if it's a complete write off.

First off I am running 4.2.2 on MF3 with root. I have no custom ROM, recovery or any other modules. This literally just happened 30 minutes ago. I've tried searching everything to no avail. My screen randomly went black (after setting it down for 15 seconds) and now it won't work. When I take out the battery and stick it back in the initial pop up is the Samsung name with an unlocked lock that says custom, this will pop up regardless if I press and hold the power button or do anything, which hasn't happened before. After that screen nothing happens as normal. I have tried to boot into download mode and I can get to the initial "WARNING" screen and then get into the download screen with the Android alien and before anything can happen it will go black. So this leads me to believe that is it either crashing or failing after the initial 20-30 seconds of boot sequence. I will also mention that when I have the USB cable plugged into both a computer and a wall outlet that it wont do anything even after i take out the battery and put it back in, try to boot into download, or just hold the power button. The computer won't even recognize that a device has been connected. When it is unplugged I can do what I previously mentioned. Please if someone can help me I would greatly appreciate it. I am really worried that because I have my device rooted I won't be able to take it in for warranty and get it replaced. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advanced!
Same happened to my phone
The exact same thing seems to be happening with my phone, however, my phone was not rooted. After installing KitKat (4.4.2) the phone was acting a bit weird and, all of a sudden, the screen went black. Can't turn it back on since then. The welcome screen comes up only after I put the battery in. After that it is completely unresponsive. I am also able to see the download mode warning before the phone goes off on its own, and the same thing happens for the recovery mode. I see the 'recovery booting' message, but then the phone turns off.
AT&T is has replaced my phone, but I wanted to get my data before sending the damaged phone back. As stated above, the phone is not recognized by my computer, so I can't access the data through USB. The guys at AT&T could not help me with the data recovery. If anyone could help me with this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi,
unfortunately I have a problem with my Galaxy S5 running CM.
Some days ago, the power button got stuck in the case so that it was pressed for quite a long time. When I tried to turn the phone back on it only showed the logo for a while, vibrated and rebooted.
I tried to boot the phone in safe mode which didn't help and then in 'transfer mode' (sorry, I don't know the right term. I think it's the mode where I transfer a custom ROM). The latter without connecting to a computer so it said something like 'transfering, don't turn off' for a while. Eventually, I had to turn off the phone cause nothing happened.
Now, when I try to boot the phone it just vibrates and stays black. Not even a LED flashes. When I connect it to my PC it vibrates and the PC recognizes something but doesn't show any connected hardware. It just installs a driver.
People at a repair store said the screen is dead but I don't really believe it because there was no physical damage of any sort.
Is there a way to repair my phone?
If you turned it off mid flash you have no ROM. There's nothing to boot. Use volume up, power and home while booting. Load recovery. Flash the ROM and don't stop it. If it doesn't work get a different ROM and try again
Hello,
So my Nexus 6P turned off randomly and then would not turn back on. It would come on and show Google and sometimes even let me enter my pin to start the phone. But it constantly would freeze during start up and just shut down. I got into the recovery and factory reset my phone and now it won't even turn on. I hold the power and it doesn't do anything. I've tried the boot loader and such but it won't turn on at all. Any ideas on what I could do? Thanks!

Sounds like you may have more than one problem, but many have been able to get a dead phone to start by holding the power button down for a very long time, sometimes 2 minutes or more. If it doesn't start, fully charge it and try the power button again. Assuming you are stock with a locked boot loader.... you didn't mention.
My phone is stock with a locked boot loader. I held the button for over 5 minutes and got nothing. I'm wondering if Google would be willing to help me out. Unless anyone has other ideas
It's hopeless. Don't waste your time trying to revive. Contact Huawei regardless of date of purchase.
If it won't power on it's either not charged, a bad power button, or something with pcm. Which is on Motherboard.
Most common scenario is a bad power button because it's most used breakable part. That won't allow the board to receive power or not enough power if it's shorted.
Dunno if you've poked around the interwebs some more regarding this, but I've been slammed with the N6P bootloop error (which appears might be part of your problem) and I found a stop-gap solution. If you feel like you've got nothing to lose, you can try what I've done: Make sure the phone has a little charge, hold it with a hot mitt from your kitchen, and blast the back of your N6P in the region between the camera lens and the fingerprint sensor with a hairdryer. Doing so will trip the big cluster off, which is the source of the bootloop problem. If you can get it to boot to the Google logo, applying the heat for the right amount of time (maybe not too long.. 2-4 minutes tops) may cause it to make it to the spinning color graphics and beyond.
I've been able to resurrect my phone doing this, but only to back it up and do very simple tasks. The moment I do something processor-intensive (Waze, YouTube, etc) it immediately crashes and bootloops again. The only solution beyond this is to unlock your bootloader, download EX Kernel manager and use it to completely disable the big cluster. Then your phone will likely be reliable, but extremely hobbled.
I bought from Best Buy about 16 months ago, so both Google and Huawei have been utterly useless, which is infuriating. Shenanigans like this are criminal. This is my 3rd Nexus phone and I'm considering abandoning Android altogether after this experience.
I've had it for a couple of weeks and today I got a SIM Not Inserted error then phone shut off and will not turn back on.
Second problem is that I'm traveling and have no computer to try to see if it will boot into download mode or use the VZ Assistant app try and reset
You should dont use any other charger on blackberry priv. Maybe 2 fiuse in charging PF in the phone is breaked. And fix easilie by repairman
Update
Seems that computer recognizes the phone, I them used the BB recovery tool and it also recognizes the phone and completes the recovery process without errors.
Screen still won't turn on
i boot my blackberry priv phone, after that unable to turn on my phone.
What shall i do?
Hello developers and my fellow xda members i would like to ask for your help on this matter my yureka plus has been hard bricked since 20 days now and no matter what i try it wont get unbricked.
how did it happen??
well even i dont know actually i had recently flashed an 8.1.0 oreo rom known as nitrogen os and it ran well for like a week till one fateful thursday i have a habit of cleaning my device with clean master and restarting it every week and i did that and the next thing i know my device wont boot up later on i found out for the very first time my device had hardbriccked with no mistake of mine.
link to the rom i used :: https://forum.xda-developers.com/yureka/development/rom-nitrogenos-t3701962
what solutions did you try??
well, many actually since this is the only device i have and i have been using it for a well over 2 years now i did the good ol google search accompanied by a youtube search to find out how to get my beloved device back.
these r all the methods that i used which ended up "successful" but my device refuses to boot up even though i have followed every one of these tutorials to revive my device perfectly even repeating the process 2-3 times thinking i did something wrong but to no avail the device still refuses to get unbricked.
links to the methods i tried :: https://forum.xda-developers.com/yureka/help/guide-unbrick-hard-bricked-yureka-t3303112 (claims to have unbricked his device 3 times didnt work for me though)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1n1qTpVvOZ0 (claims to have helped 10 other people get thier device back with this same method again didnt work for me)
what r the devices symptoms ??
well, let me see there r many although i have scoured the internet for the past couple of weeks i havent found a single person with the same symptoms as mine.
when the sd card (on which the emmc is still burned on) is out of the device no matter how long you press the power button the device will not show any signs just nothing.
when put on charging or connected to the laptop (without the sd card) though it just shows that dreaded little red notification light and thats all.
with the sd card in and emmc burned onto it the device when holding the power button will just flash the screen with nothing but just a black screen no text no logo just a plain black flashing screen until i let go of the power button.
when plugged in to a laptop or a charger with the emmc in though the device vibrates goes into the "fastboot mode" with all the lines automatically without me doing nothing just plugging it in and it doesnt stop there it keeps repeating the cycle of vibrating going into the fastboot mode then going off till i take the cable off.
but the laptop doesnt detect it as anything not as "qhusb bulk" not as "qloader 9008" not even as an unknown device even though i have installed all the drivers neccessary and more.
the device has been in this state since well over 20 days now and i cannot for the life of me am able to revive it so i ask for everyones help for i will b forever grateful if u help me get this device back.
also, i refuse to believe its any hardware problem since the device has never fell off from my hand ever since i bought it over 2 years ago.
I was having a similar problem what is ur model name was it android one or cyanogen one.
If it was android one then flash this file with ydgp tool
If it doesn't start then to try to boot using charger connected
If the booting process starts or it show yu logo after yureka plus logo that means it's your battery problem
