Samsung s8 no rom installed cant flash default firmware - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

Ive recently been trying different roms on my Samsung s8 the most recent being the s9 rom for s8 however i have decided to go back to default s8 firmware so i wiped the phone using twerp and put the phone into download mode. However when i tried to flash the stock firmware (which i download from sammobile) it comes up with one of 2 errors when i try to flash just the AP file like I have done before its says "KERNAL REV. CHECK FAIL DEVICE :2 BINARY:1 or the other error when i try to flash with all the boxes filled (BL,AP,CP,CSC) is the SW REV. CHECK FAIL(BOOTLOADER) DEVICE 3, BINARY:1 i also can not enter twerp recovery unless I flash it. I have tried installing the rom again so i can get access to settings but they wont boot i have tried things such as the latest odin and running odin as admin nothing has made a difference when trying to boot the phone normally it tells me to use the smart switch emergency recovery function on my pc but although the phone is recognised by my pc the smart switch program says my phone is not compatible. One final thing is that when my flash fails it never fails in the same place in the box on odin for example it has failed on boot.img and other times it has gone to hidden.img

its problem with your bootloader .ypu are trying to flash an old firmware ....try latest firmware with july security patches ...it will work also try prince comsy odin

Thanks
Thanks for the reply Is it possible for you to put a link up for me as I thought I had used the newest firmware

is it s8 or plus and which carrier?

Its an s8 my carrier is EE however i bought my phone from amazon it was the international version (G950F)

https://samsung-firmware.org/download/Galaxy__S8__/c8x7/BTU/G950FXXU2CRF7/G950FOXM2CRFE/

Help error aboot

Hello.
I have a T-Mobile Galaxy S5 Model SM-G900T3. It came with Lollipop 5.1.1 installed. I root it and now I want to return the phone to stock. I followed every tutorial and they are all the same so i am doing everything right but each time it fails and the phone gives me in red "secure check fail : aboot"

I have tried different Odin version, different firmware and different usb ports and cables and the phone is charged 60% of battery.
It's failing at aboot (the bootloader) because it's failing the security check that prevents flashing the wrong firmware. You're gonna need to find actual G900T3 firmware. Why the hell tmo changed it up or what the actual difference is I have no idea but kinda curious

Ok solve it. For anyone with the Galaxy S5 Model SM-G900T3 tis is the stock rom to unroot unbrick your phone.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G900T3/
Rooting after upgrade G900T3 to FOG6?
I will soon be upgrading my FOF6-based G900T3 to FOG6 via the firmware listed above.
I realize that once I do that, I will lose root.
Has anyone successfully rooted a FOG6-based G900T3? Does anyone know whether G900T_FOG6_TrapKernel.zip will work on the G900T3, or is that limited to a G900T? Is there perhaps another method for rooting an FOG6-based G900T3?

I confirm that G900T_FOG6_TrapKernel.zip indeed works fine for rooting the G900T3.

Help with debranding

Hi all, I got a new edge plus SM-G928F but it has annoying Vodafone UK firmware on it
Can someone please advise on the latest stock firmware to download and install
thanks
Go on Sammobile web site and chose 928f firmware. Others will say things like UK ee just chose UK.
Or flash a custom Rom there will be no Vodafone bloatware on it.
You'll need to root and post custom recovery on first but I'm sure your aware of that

So I have a question about Debranding? I'm unlucky and have a Canadian SM-G928W8 and I know there isn't any unbranded firmware for this model, my question is it possible to flash the 928F firmware to my 928W8? can it be done with a PIT file? I know this has probably asked 20 million times, but I have googled the crap out of this and cant turn up a correct answer.. If any one knows could you be kind enough to help out.
Thanks PB.
I download and installed the Swiss firmware as this seemed he latest. After boot up I full wiped but the Vodafone firmware is still there. Anyme recommend which is the best G928F to use with Odin to completely debrand. I don't want to root
well I tried flashing via odin a SM-G928F firmware and it wont work. this is the log I get on ODIN

When does Odin says Fail? I installed Poland (T-Mobile) TPL without problems. Maybe it's problem with the file you downloaded, try download again. You can download it faster through SamFirm tool.
Or follow this solution > http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/help/solved-stuck-download-mode-failed-odin-t3104736

You can turn off by going to Settings » Lock screen and security » Find My Mobile » and turn off the reactivation lock.
Also, If your firmware version is higher than the one you are trying to flash it may not let you flash it. This happened to me when trying to change region on my SM-G920I.

The reason why it failed is because the firmware has specific network addons that needs a bigger hidden.img partition.

If you took the OTA of anything higher than OD5, you would be unable to ODIN back to NCG(KitKat). It sounds as if your device may have taken the OTA of MM....but I wouldn't be able to answer you that....as you had stated that you were on 4.4 KitKat, did you have at least SafeStrap installed? If so, try to flash the NI2 kernal via Odin to see if you can get back into SafeStrap....

first root the phone http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s5/general/root-method-og5-ok3-t3290370/
then unlock the bootloader http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...t/rd-unlocking-galaxys-s5-bootloader-t3337909
then install custom recovery just google twrp download then flash using odin
then find a stock custom rooted rom and install it using twrp and make sure to download gapps also. i prefer open gapps. google open gapps for kitkat. make sure to flash both the rom and gapps at the same time in twrp ps your rom may come with the google apps make sure to check before you install gapps.

Why are you having him install TWRP and a CM ROM? No where did he mentioned that he had an "Unlocked Bootloader". He said that he was "ROOTED" on 4.4 KitKat and happened to lose root via an OTA. Which WE don't exactly know which OTA....so please, before digging him/her deeper in a hole, respectively respond with SAFE and Helpful advice....thank you

[SM-T807P][MM 6.0.1] Debloated and rooted stock ROM (Sprint)

This is a rooted and debloated stock MM 6.0.1 ROM for SM-T807P (Sprint). It was built with the free edition of SuperR's Kitchen. It will probably trip your Knox counter and void any warranty. Download links are at the bottom. Bloated apps were removed (when possible). SuperSU and BusyBox were added.
Brief install instructions:
Make sure you are on the modem from the latest ROM, or your LTE won't work. Copy T807PVPU1CPI1-rooted-debloated.zip to your SD card and install using TWRP.
Recommended steps to install:
1. Place the tablet in download mode (home, volume down, power buttons).
2. Flash the stock MM 6.0.1 ROM from Sprint using Odin. (Use Odin's AP button.) Alternatively, if you are on the stock ROM already, take all of the OTA updates to bring its version to T807PVPU1CPI1.
3. Let the tablet boot completely, then power down and go back into download mode.
3. Install TWRP 2.8.5 recovery with Odin. (Again, use Odin's AP button)
4. Boot TWRP in recovery mode (home, volume up, power).
5. In TWRP, select Wipe > Factory Reset.
6. Select T807PVPU1CPI1-rooted-debloated.zip from your SD Card and let it install.
7. Select Reboot System. When TWRP asks if you want to root, tell it "Do Not Install". The ROM is already rooted with SuperSU.
The tablet may reboot several times and may take 10+ minutes to boot up, showing a SAMSUNG logo. Do not interrupt it.
Have fun.

debloated stock rom for 807p???????? lol... 807p is the stepchild of the S line.. thanks for the work.. I would love to see nougat on this model 2..
Great Job
This worked great...what did you remove to debloat? I was hoping the samsung apps would be gone but thats ok.
It is running really smooth so far. I had to force close the Play Store and then it opened and functioned properly. I don't have a data plan on my tab anymore so I kept getting a popup that really didn't want to go away for about a minute or two but that was only during Setup and once I was able to switch off the data it doesn't matter anyway.
So far so good, thanks for putting this together. I was contemplating doing this myself but I never have the time. Much appreciation for the work on the Sprint Tab S, I'll add more comments if anything arises.
:good:
Hi,
I just flashed the ROM, after hitting reboot system it goes straight to Download Mode, on top left corner it says "Could not do normal boot."

Thank you for the work Rasthan!
I will try to flash it this weekend....
I'm in the way of enabling WCDMA and additional LTE bands on my SM-T807P too.
I could find some interesting threads here but nothing working on this SPRINT device.
After flashing this ROM I will be testing the guides again...
Rom flashed without issues and working OK on my SM-T807P.
After re-unlocking and modifying GFC Settings I still can't set GSM (PRL) as the preferred network mode under radio settings...
I also get the same behavior. Have you found any solution?

Thank you so much for cooking a 6.0 rom for my old device! I just tried to update Kodi last night and I cant because I'm on one of the few roms ever created for this device Superskilled Basic rom.
I already have my device rooted and TWRP 2.8.5 installed. I have ZERO firmware updates since the day I bought it and installed Superskilled rom. But I only use this with wifi.
Do I still need to flash back to stock and get updates or can I just download the rom and flash it straight away from inside of TWRP?
Thanks a ton for all your work!
Hi guys, can anyone help me to root my SM-T807V ?

Yeah, it looks like they deleted those files. I don't see them on my computer anymore. I will have to look around... give me a couple of days.
@rasthan any chance you found them? Thanks for taking the time to look!
