Help error aboot - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello.
I have a T-Mobile Galaxy S5 Model SM-G900T3. It came with Lollipop 5.1.1 installed. I root it and now I want to return the phone to stock. I followed every tutorial and they are all the same so i am doing everything right but each time it fails and the phone gives me in red "secure check fail : aboot"
Odin says:

I have tried different Odin version, different firmware and different usb ports and cables and the phone is charged 60% of battery.

It's failing at aboot (the bootloader) because it's failing the security check that prevents flashing the wrong firmware. You're gonna need to find actual G900T3 firmware. Why the hell tmo changed it up or what the actual difference is I have no idea but kinda curious

Ok solve it. For anyone with the Galaxy S5 Model SM-G900T3 tis is the stock rom to unroot unbrick your phone.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G900T3/

Rooting after upgrade G900T3 to FOG6?
I will soon be upgrading my FOF6-based G900T3 to FOG6 via the firmware listed above.
I realize that once I do that, I will lose root.
Has anyone successfully rooted a FOG6-based G900T3? Does anyone know whether G900T_FOG6_TrapKernel.zip will work on the G900T3, or is that limited to a G900T? Is there perhaps another method for rooting an FOG6-based G900T3?

I confirm that G900T_FOG6_TrapKernel.zip indeed works fine for rooting the G900T3.

You can't flash these roms, they come with the old bootloader and your current rom uses the new bootloader. Downgrade is not possible, so use XXUDMH8(current newest rom from Samsung) or other XXUDMH(A,GG,5,6,7...) rom from sammobile and it should work fine. If so and still no WiFi i can help you with some more advices

Yes, this is what I use. I didn't see these new roms available for France, so you may have to wait a bit for french rom.

My guess it that it's somehow related to CF-AUTO-ROOT with the newer roms. I also had no wifi afterwards when I updated to german I9505XXUDMH5. Before, I had a rooted stock MF8 with no problems, as soon as I tried to upgrade to anything newer I lost root and wifi. Chainfires new CF-AUTO-ROOT brougt root back, but still no wifi.
After many tries I ended up with Adams Kernel 1.6, which drops all the Knox stuff, has root and brings back wifi. I would rather have stock kernel, though, but I did not get any advice on how to achieve that with CF-AUTO-ROOT...
I would advise to use Adams Kernel 1.6. But be aware that this makes upgrades via Kies impossible.
i install the MH5 and it looks to works except the root.
I used CF-Autoroot, i got the icon SuperSU but the root looks doesn't work properly, sometimes works, sometimes doesn't work.
For example when i use GL to SD, sometimes, it success mount, but now doesn't success to mount and unmount.

When does Odin says Fail? I installed Poland (T-Mobile) TPL without problems. Maybe it's problem with the file you downloaded, try download again. You can download it faster through SamFirm tool.
Or follow this solution > http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/help/solved-stuck-download-mode-failed-odin-t3104736

You can turn off by going to Settings » Lock screen and security » Find My Mobile » and turn off the reactivation lock.
Also, If your firmware version is higher than the one you are trying to flash it may not let you flash it. This happened to me when trying to change region on my SM-G920I.

The reason why it failed is because the firmware has specific network addons that needs a bigger hidden.img partition.

I can't root the phone because it won't let me flash a custom rom.
I also have tried flashing the rom from the micro SD but the phone says signature verification failed.
what Ota and baseband version are you on?

I have the Samsung Galaxy S5 by Verizon.
It is on the 5.0 firmware.
I rooted the device when it was one the 4.4 firmware. When I did OTA update, I lost it.
I am trying to flash the 4.4 rom onto the phone through ODIN.
I get this on ODIN

If you took the OTA of anything higher than OD5, you would be unable to ODIN back to NCG(KitKat). It sounds as if your device may have taken the OTA of MM....but I wouldn't be able to answer you that....as you had stated that you were on 4.4 KitKat, did you have at least SafeStrap installed? If so, try to flash the NI2 kernal via Odin to see if you can get back into SafeStrap....

first root the phone http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s5/general/root-method-og5-ok3-t3290370/
then unlock the bootloader http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...t/rd-unlocking-galaxys-s5-bootloader-t3337909
then install custom recovery just google twrp download then flash using odin
then find a stock custom rooted rom and install it using twrp and make sure to download gapps also. i prefer open gapps. google open gapps for kitkat. make sure to flash both the rom and gapps at the same time in twrp ps your rom may come with the google apps make sure to check before you install gapps.

Why are you having him install TWRP and a CM ROM? No where did he mentioned that he had an "Unlocked Bootloader". He said that he was "ROOTED" on 4.4 KitKat and happened to lose root via an OTA. Which WE don't exactly know which OTA....so please, before digging him/her deeper in a hole, respectively respond with SAFE and Helpful advice....thank you

Rooting T-Mobile SM-G935T with CF auto-root?

So, I found the steps at droidvendor (unable to post links yet, sorry) to root the T Mobile S7 Edge using chainfire auto-root, but when i try to do it, Odin fails after the cache.img.ext4. Does anyone know if this is possible or if I'm using the wrong files? The files were downloaded form the links provided in the website guide. I have tried different USB ports, verifying that OEM Unlock and uSB debugging were both enabled, and tried different versions of Odin from 3.12.3 down to 3.10.6 and it fails at the same point every time. When it does fail it gives an error on my phone stating SECURE CHECK FAIL: RECOVERY. below is the text from the Odin log

Interesting, I'd like to see what some experienced vets might say

Too tired to test.. but here is the link.. http://droidvendor.com/root-t-mobile-s7s7-edge-android-7-0-nougat-via-cf-auto-root/
yeah, that's where i found it at. Hopefully someone can figure out what i'm doing wrong here. I've rooted it with the ENG root process, but the battery would get way too hot and the lag was terrible no matter what i did, so i reverted back to stock.
another question. The chain fire auto root program automatically installs supersu and TWRP recovery correct? Or do i need to have those installed from the sd card first?
You need the bootloader unlocked first so it doesn't work
Ok. That makes sense. Is there a way to unlock the bootloader? I've never done that before

Not on the US model...
well crap. Figures. so the only way to root the US models then is with the ENG root?
What about this method here? https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-s7-edge/how-to/unlocked-sm-g935t-t-mobile-t3487667
does that unlock the bootloader?
Does this chainfire method work? Because I'm looking into rooting my T-Mobile s7 edge.

No it will not work. To use Chainfire method you need to unlocked bootloader which we dont have.

Samsung s8 no rom installed cant flash default firmware

Ive recently been trying different roms on my Samsung s8 the most recent being the s9 rom for s8 however i have decided to go back to default s8 firmware so i wiped the phone using twerp and put the phone into download mode. However when i tried to flash the stock firmware (which i download from sammobile) it comes up with one of 2 errors when i try to flash just the AP file like I have done before its says "KERNAL REV. CHECK FAIL DEVICE :2 BINARY:1 or the other error when i try to flash with all the boxes filled (BL,AP,CP,CSC) is the SW REV. CHECK FAIL(BOOTLOADER) DEVICE 3, BINARY:1 i also can not enter twerp recovery unless I flash it. I have tried installing the rom again so i can get access to settings but they wont boot i have tried things such as the latest odin and running odin as admin nothing has made a difference when trying to boot the phone normally it tells me to use the smart switch emergency recovery function on my pc but although the phone is recognised by my pc the smart switch program says my phone is not compatible. One final thing is that when my flash fails it never fails in the same place in the box on odin for example it has failed on boot.img and other times it has gone to hidden.img
its problem with your bootloader .ypu are trying to flash an old firmware ....try latest firmware with july security patches ...it will work also try prince comsy odin
Thanks
Thanks for the reply Is it possible for you to put a link up for me as I thought I had used the newest firmware
is it s8 or plus and which carrier?
