Hello, i was looking around my settings and find that I can pay with NFC, well that was great but there was no default options for it I know about Android Pay but its not supported by the phone... or maybe country?
After some googling i saw Huawei had app for this but they drop it for reasons. Is there a way to get Android Pay working or alternative for that?
Thanks.

I have a banking app which links with the nfc to utilise pay options so install your banks banking app and see if yours has the option to pay that way.... Word of warning a lot of banking apps don't work if you are rooted

So I found a new apk that is being used in the augen gentouch android tablet and other android tablets from china as a market substitute (they can't use the market because of licensing reasons). If you are having trouble getting your apk on the market or just don't want to pay to put your apk up or your just sick of google trying to say their open source but they got certain restrictions on the market this is for you. It's still kind of small but its getting there (or it'll be crushed by google)
is this spam of some sort? that link had NOTHING to do with an app marketplace.

Fixed that for ya.
There are some apks on that site. Is use it if it had more and was safe.
So i just got a notice that the link I put up there was spam. The link that I put up was to the augen gentouch (the android tablet sold at kmarts) support site. There they offer the app market which is the tablet alternative of the android market. They have to use that because they don't have permission to use the android market. Anyways since the app market doesn't make you pay 25 dollars to sign up or reject apks I thought this would be a good idea to help folks who haven't been able to get there app on the market get it out there. Anyways that being said it's over
Be careful with this. The first mms and apk android viruses are out and would easily be hidden in one of the apks there.

Can you explain more? I don't want to be apart of that or at least want it to written as a warning
Just read about Android Mate. Sounds like it could be the free alternative to Root Manager many people are looking for (I know I am... don't want to purchase Root Manager cause I am not sure if I will be keeping my Vibrant).
The article I read on it claims Android Mate works, although it may take a few attempts.
(For those wondering, I read about Android Mate at hxxp://dottech.org/android/free-app-reviews/17673 <--- I can't post proper link, hence the hxxp, cause I have new account but I assure you that is a legitimate website.)
Root Manager is free, but there is a donate version to give back to the developer for all his hard work.
I'm lost... how is Root Manager free? It says 1.99 euros under marketplace. I am not too sure how this whole donateware thing works, but from what I understand it is just another name to charge for apps? Someone please correct me if I am wrong (noobie here).
I got Root Manager last week
^ dude, come on man....

Where is this free version you speak of? I can't find it on the market. I like to try before I buy.
Come on guys, if you are too cheap to split a couple of euros to the developer, maybe you should stay away from rooting your precious $500 phones
^^ You have a 24 hour window when buying from the market you know?
You guys cant help a developer with an amazing app?
Wrong section.
I am all for paying for good software. I buy Cyan beers and pay for apps. As stated above, just spend the couple bucks.
If your too cheap to buy the app Koush does have functionality in the free version of Rom Manager. It only limits you to a few features. Click on ads to help him out at least.

Free and Paid versions available in market place... search for "ROM Manager"
Oh, nevermind. I was thinking of Root Explorer, not Manager.
I'm not against buying apps I'd actually use. I see no need for Root Explorer yet, was my point of wanting to buy before I try.
I've only had an Android phone for about a month, and I have yet to purchase anything. There's so many apps out there it's hard to know what's worth it and what isn't. Still trying to decide between purchasing App Alarm, or Alarm Clock Plus.
Root Explorer basically allows you to move files around that other file managers do not have access to, thus you can avoid having to use adb/fastboot and typing commands. Just move files around and voila.

Thats ROM Manager, not ROOT Manager.
@People saying "just buy it": As I already mentioned, I don't know if I will be keeping my phone so I don't want to spend the money. Plus, I could "just buy" plenty of apps and rack up a huge bill. Id rather save my budget for apps that don't have free alternatives.
Thanks for the root explorer explanation.
I'm not having much luck with android mate. Have you tried it? I try to delete folders of apps I've uninstalled but they don't get deleted. That and the constant loading bar when trying to view folder contents. Is this working for you? Maybe root explorer would be helpful for me if it serves the same purpose.
I don't mind buying apps and I often give donations to devs who's apps and roms I use. Only trouble is that in many countries payed apps are not yet implied in the market. And here in my country (Netherland) very few people use creditcards and there hard to get (unlike America).
Just give me Paypal ore something similar.
I quite like Super Manager myself. Has ads on it so you can still support the dev.
Has anyone tried Google Wallet in the UK on their Nexus7?
Google wallet is not currently supported in the UK, unfortunately.
(If you mean the app that lets you pay via NFC)

Paulobrian (Modaco) Has a patched one He use it at gregs
Yeah, I used it on my Gnex (used the market-enabler to get it on my device) and it worked with the $10 credit in Caffe Nero, but then I couldn't recharge it...

You get $10 for signing up, but to re-charge it you need a US based payment card (which I don't, of course). So there was no way to add more money on it.
I think Paul (modaco) did find *one* way around it, but I didn't try it...

Not tried it recently since updating to Jellybean... but trying now I see wallet is installed but hidden, so it probably needs a patched version or similar...

The wallet application is in N7, just got frozen when the sign in of the device is in uk. Same for magazine app and sound search widget. If your device is rooted and have titanium backup, they can all be defrosted. No good for wallet app, though, as there's no terminal in the UK to use it; opening the app will say it's not supported in this region.

Well i got it on my Nexus, haven't tried paying with it yet... kinda embarrassed paying with a tablet...
Unfroze it with titanium but when starting the app I get a message saying it isn't available (in my region, presumably)

I posted this guide last night. I haven't purchased anything yet but I do have Wallet configured and with the free $10 credit
And here is a guide for topping it up outside the US.
I got a new Edge about 2 weeks ago and Im conflicted about rooting vs SPay. Not having Ad Away made me realize how many damn ads there out there and how annoying they are, so I would really like to root. Unfortunately, that seems to block SPay from ever working. I like the idea of MST functionality rather than being limited to only NFC for payments.
Is there an alternative to SPay that uses MST?
why not just use block this?

I'll take a look at it. Thanks for the recommendation.
Also search XDA for NetGuard.
What about other apps that use MST? Are there any?

Haven't seen any. MST is a Samsung owned technology, and they may not have provided any APIs or documentation so developers can access it. And I understand why. Letting 3rd party apps have access to the credit card software would be a security nightmare. No bank would sign up for Samsung Pay if it were that open.
hi when ive got the always on screen android pay lets me pay with out unlocking my phone if i want to make my android pay safer do i have to turn always on of
also is they a way to have notifications to light up the phone
why im asking is because im new to android ive been with ios for a good few years now so im use to when getting a sms can just quick replay etc thank you for your time
Doesn't the Android Pay app still require you to authenticate before you use it? Samsung Pay will let you pay without unlocking your phone, but you still have to authenticate within the app.
