My axon dont have capacity buttons (The three dots on bottom of the screen). On market, they're selling the screen with these buttons. The question is "if I replace my current screen with this, can the buttons work".

I dropped my phone and the screen now doesnt respond properly: The hardware DID successfully upgrade to the XDA ROM. But touching it causes the backlight to go on, - but most of the keys dont do what one would expect them to do: The phone turns on with a reminder from the calendar on the screen which wont DISMISS or CLOSE. Pressing on the windows logo and then on the phone key causes the calendar to come up and I am not sure which numbers are entered when I do manage to get the phone to come onto the screen (none of the right hand numbers seem to work at all). Does anyone recognise these symptoms and/or could they just show that my SX-56 needs the ROM RE-flashing? I should add that pressing the Master Reset button with this ROM in place seems to make the phone shut off and then when you restart it, all of the data remains in place. I wonder if there is any possibility that the XDA ROM has prevented the reset button from working normally?
A user on another forum said that to him, '"Sounds like the digitiser is up the swanee - have you tried recalibrating it?"
10-12 vertical black lines started appearing to the right hand edge of the screen. Sometimes they are there, sometimes not. THere is usually at last one there somewhere. At about that time the screen stopped responding as I mention. Today the left third started displaying the same veritcal lines, though spaced quite far apart (about a millimetre). Screen doesn't APPEAR cracked: Does this sound like a digitiser and if so, how do you recalibrate it please or is there a link to somewhere on the XDA site which I cant find which might tell me? Or could it be the cable is loose in the circuit board? As you touch the lower right hand corner of the metal casing where the vertical lines are, those lines flash (the right 10 or 12) on and off. And every coloured bar everywhere on the screen or word of text has vertical lines on it (the white parts don't)??
Someone on ebay has said that his phone "fell from my pocket and onto the carpet and the screen cracked, I then used it for about a week" "I sold the screen to someone cause the wanted the touch pad part of the screen for there phone". and wonder what it was he sold or which part can be replaced on it? IS there a touch part and a screen part on this phone?
To be honest, itsounds like you have brocken a connection somewhere between the LCD and the gfx output, probably not possible to repair yourself.
I wonder where the break would be?
I thought that might be the case: I wonder if it would be worthwhile trying to get another screen?
I should probably try to take the unit apart and see if some break somewhere can be identified if it is a break as opposed to some electonic part having failed. It SEEMS to be in the lower right hand corner?
Hello,
I've got a problem with my qtek s200.
The touchscreen only works when I press the opposite sides of the plastic case. Y mena buy opposite sides the side with Comm and Camera buttons and the side with the Standby buton and the pen.
So, I must press both sides with one hand, and then the touchscreen works perfectly.
If I don't press the plastic case, then the touchscreen doesn't recognise the mouvements of the pen or my fingers on the screen.
For example, in Start menu, I put the pen on one item, and the item appears in blue (select), but when I raise the pen (so, no contact between pen and screen) the item is deselected and the selected item is the last one (always the last one).
So, I imagine that there is a problem with the plastic case, which could press the screen on the lower zone, but I'm not sure in how to repare it.
Thanks you for any help.
They say the screen is 4.7 but also advertise on screen buttons and for some reason the screen just looks smaller than 4.7 inch. The buttons always seem to be there, it's my understand that on screen buttons means that when they aren't needed that they go and that part of the screen that was dedicated to those buttons returns to normal function. I've seen no proof of this however and was wondering if they're just dedicated buttons and it's being called on screen so they can make the screen larger in the spec sheets? Or if the screen is 4.7inch and those buttons are nothing to do with the visible screen size?
Thanx.
The buttons go away during full screen videos, and other apps that use full screen mode (like many games). The screen itself is not smaller than advertised, you're just getting a slightly lower resolution than advertised, when not in full screen mode
Hey guys.
Cracked the lower part of my screen today so the bottom 2cm are unresponsive. I've managed to change the screen res so that I can use the phone, but it has left black bars at the top and bottom. Is there anyway to "shift" the screen upwards so that I have more useable screen space? Also where is a reliable place to order an OEM screen and digitiser? Thanks
I found some oem touch digitizers for the Nexus 4 (cannot post link, new user) on ebay, usually $50
Not really sure how to shift the resolution though.
Hi !
yeah ! all brands go for a new design for their phones with no bezels.
but the big problem's those big buttons at the bottom of the phone ( Navigation bar ) that spoils the beauty of this new design.
i don't know why we don't have any option for hide the navigation bar !! we are waiting for a new update frome LG for add this option.
Anyway, We know that LG likes to change the place of buttons like the LG G3 / G4 ... why not change the place of the navigation bar and put physical buttons on the side of the phone !! Or on the back !! Can be a touch buttons on the bottom ( on the border or on place of the speaker ).
and keeping the virtual buttons with an option for hide them for users who love their actual place.
This an idea that can succeed and can fail! If she succeeds we will enjoy with our screens without bezels.
what do you think !!
and sorry for my bad english !
There's plenty of room in the lower front bezel of the LG G6 to have left a dedicated area for either hard or soft buttons but they were going for a clean look, with screen-only soft buttons.
But adding navigation buttons on the edges of the phone are not a good idea because it's more likely they will be pressed accidentally. It was such a relief not to have the power button on the side of the phone as I used to press it accidentally all the time when I had the phone leaning against something to watch a video and I would press the volume button. I can only imagine what would happen with a home button on the side or bottom of the phone :-/
Yeah on an 18:9 ratio there is more then enough room for the buttons in my opinion. I much prefer them to physical or capacitive ones.

I remember the first oneplus phone has the choice of using on screen or off screen buttons, very nice option and wish more phones offered the choice.
