Hey guys.
Cracked the lower part of my screen today so the bottom 2cm are unresponsive. I've managed to change the screen res so that I can use the phone, but it has left black bars at the top and bottom. Is there anyway to "shift" the screen upwards so that I have more useable screen space? Also where is a reliable place to order an OEM screen and digitiser? Thanks
I found some oem touch digitizers for the Nexus 4 (cannot post link, new user) on ebay, usually $50
Not really sure how to shift the resolution though.

Hey guys,
I just wanted to know just how visible your screen matrix(white dots on the screen) is? Mine is very noticeable, and I was wondering if that's the nature of the US Tmobile one. If not then I'll prolly try and get it replaced.
Thanks
I only see it under direct sunlight and usually only if the screen is off.
I admit that I like the grid pattern of small dots and bigger dots and the lines.
They say the screen is 4.7 but also advertise on screen buttons and for some reason the screen just looks smaller than 4.7 inch. The buttons always seem to be there, it's my understand that on screen buttons means that when they aren't needed that they go and that part of the screen that was dedicated to those buttons returns to normal function. I've seen no proof of this however and was wondering if they're just dedicated buttons and it's being called on screen so they can make the screen larger in the spec sheets? Or if the screen is 4.7inch and those buttons are nothing to do with the visible screen size?
Thanx.
The buttons go away during full screen videos, and other apps that use full screen mode (like many games). The screen itself is not smaller than advertised, you're just getting a slightly lower resolution than advertised, when not in full screen mode
Nexus 7 screen broke and the digitizer is not working at the top quarter of the screen. So I'd like to disable the cracked portion of the screen such that it becomes fully "touchable" again, albeit smaller screen view.
Is there no solution to this.?

https://youtu.be/m2BCxMcghUwDo Do i need a new screen i can't see any cracks to the screen at all..
I don't see a video or link.
Edit: Now it's there.
There is a link to a video i made if u watch it you can see the screen showing washed out and lines on it
If it's a G2 (description on YouTube) you might be better off asking in the G2 forum. At least for specifics, like whether replacing the screen is difficult.
I'd guess that you may need a new screen, but I'm not an expert. The first part of the video showed sort of a ring near the edge of the screen that was brighter. Is it possible that this has something to do with the screen's backlight? I'm guessing the backlight is attached to the the screen and replaced with the screen, so it probably wouldn't matter whether it's the screen itself or the backlight.
My phone was duin that after i broke the inside lcd only myn was much worse i coudnt see anything. Yepp you need a new screen mate
yes you need a new screen, buy it in ebay for $39
