After any help or advice about issue im having with my new Android Head Unit
My Previous stereo was the Sony Unit that has 1 connector and had the small screen with 1 connector in my Ford Focus mk3 2012-2013 Titanium
Installed this
iceboxauto.com/ford-focus-2012-android-8-v5712
MTCE_MX2_V2.79_1
Android 8
All the Canbus info is coming through fine like the temp and doors and the Volume buttons on the steering wheel work fine.
However my SYNC voice button on the steering wheel no longer works and the SYNC app on the New Unit does nothing.
The Canbus hardware that came with the unit has a Power Connector 2 which does not have anywhere to connect to in my Focus as my Stereo simply didnt have this connection

My supplier also seems confused since i dont have this extra connection and the factory arnt helping either. They just said The Sony Radio is the only radio that does not have a Sync Cable.
Been in the Factory Settings and the canbus is set to "62 FOCUS_ECOSPORT&ESCAPE&CARNIVAL(Simple)"
Have to assume SYNC is someway using the Canbus since there is no separate Cable. Not sure if this is hardware or Software issue
Thanks
maybe this ??
The AFSI-01 retains the Ford Sync and R.A.P features when installing an aftermarket radio in Ford Lincoln or Mercury vehicles equipped with Sync. (Does not work in vehicles with factory navigation.)
It includes an LCD display for Sync system status. It also supplies parking brake reverse and VSS outputs for aftermarket radios with built in navigation.
Provides accessory (12-volt 10-amp)
Retains R.A.P. (retained accessory power)
Used in non-amplified systems
For standard sound systems with stand-alone subwoofer – use part number 70-5522 along with the AFSI-01
For SONY/THX amplified systems – use part numbers AX-ADBOX2 and AX-ADFD01
Provides NAV outputs (parking brake-reverse-mute-speed sense)
OE Bluetooth retention
Retains SYNC
Adjustable gain control for SYNC
High level speaker input
Micro B USB updatable

Ford Focus ST Android radio
Hello ... I have a Ford Focus ST 2016 and I recently purchased a 10.4-inch android radio from the Ownice-C600 model. The problem is that one of the car plugs(54pins) does not match that of the system(24pins), I say that the steering wheel controls do not work. In the plug with which the system is equipped is 3 cables.
Hi, did you resolve it? I also have the power cable 2 and I do not have it where to connect .. the other cables have you connected where? To turn on the button backlight or turn the radio on when the key is not in the 1st position. Thanks Tom

Re Post from MTCB forum,
Just installed a Joying:
. SKU: JY-UL124 . Quad Core Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS Capacitive 7" High Definition for Universal Double Din . CPU: RK3188 1.6GHz Cortex A9 Quad Core, Resolution 1024*600. RAM:DDR3 1G, 16 GB memory
To my 2014 Australian Hyundai Elantra.
I waited to get the latest HU from Joying that has an unrated mother board and USB/ Comms board. With Lollipop 5.1.1. the unit performs very well with none of the problem previously mentioned on these pages. The internal and external mics are clear and the Bluetooth systems are perfect. Unit has been rooted and I don't seem to need for apps so I won't changed the software now.
The dimming for the button and the screen to follow the vehicles rheostat was fixed by making a circuit to invert and amplify the rheostat output to the HU ill line. Work's well, Kudos to the guys at the Subaru forums.
I had one bug fixed by Joying when the GPS nav was muted whenever I plugged in the DVR front camera. Joying quickly sent me a link to re flash my firmware and the problem was fixed. I have them currently looking into a bug when I view the DVR input shown on the HU I get lots of flashing to the screen in all pixel settings. I have been told this will be fixed in the next firmware update soon.
One problem that I can't solve is when I try to use my vehicles Multimedia Jack located in my center console. There is a Aux and USB jack there. All wiring from console to HU is complete. If I connect a USB stick to the Jack in the console then then HU struggles to connect and gives up. If I interrupt the USB plug and socket behind the HU then I am able to use the USB correctly. Looking at the car wiring diagrams there is a amplifier cct behind the Multimedia Jack supposedly to amp up the USB to HU. Doesn't seem to work?
Any ideas appreciated.

i have nothing to add, other than interested to see what the result is. Are you saying that your car comes with a built in hub in the console, and you are trying to make that USB port in the console work to the Joying head unit? my vehicle is similar, and I would like that to work as well
Update
Yes I have a console hub I guess.
The book calls it a multimedia center. Just an Aux port and a USB port or Jack in the tidy bin in the center console. If I by pass the Jacks and directly put the USB stick into the USB tail from the radio then it works fine. When I plug into the console port it tries to read it and fails. The HU then reports a read fail, have tried other known working USB sticks.
I have inspected behind the console jacks and found a cct board attached to the Jacks and then to the car wiring. From looking at the diagrams of the car previous to mine I see a cct board containing what looks like an amplifier. Tracing the car wiring to the radio input connectors seems to be OK and the wiring correct. Voltages at the radio connector are right in that there is 5v +ve, negative - earth and the center pins are data as they should be.
The console Jacks

The wiring for same (mine is same but more complex)

Really bugs me not to be able to access that USB input Jack esp as the radio is a great unit.

You need to post this question in the MTCD (Lollipop) hardware thread. This thread is for MTCB (KitKat) units. The hardware in the MTCD headunits are very different than the MTCB headunits.
Thanks and done - I still have the same problem

Hello, i'm interest in tthis unit,https://www.carjoying.com/quad-core-android-car-radio/quad-core-vw-android-car-radio/joying-2016-latest-aftermarket-european-warehouse-lollipop-android-5-1-1-car-head-unit-autoradio-quad-core-double-din-gps-navigation-system-stereo-radio-support-reverse-camera-dvr-g.html and dont' know if it's the same you have. Can you tell me if you have some lag problems or something? does the hardware handles well the software?
Bob
Seems the same. Same CPU, platform, Specs etc. I think being a "VW Golf Passat Jetta" model from Joying it probably has some firmware in it to pick up your particular car's Bluetooth connections. The front surround looks like it has been added to my "Universal" type to fit neatly into your dashboard. The case and rear connections are identical. I see they have added a CanBus box which my car did not need but looks like yours does. There is probably a harness with it to fit your wiring loom.
if you run a lot of apps at once there is some lag not bad though. Like if you had the radio on and the GPS on and DVR the traffic then that's a pretty big load so then there is some lag but you get used to it. You might have to wait a second before an icon or screen switch becomes available. When running only a few apps at once there is no lag issues.
I like mine a lot, would not replace it with the OEM.
The problem mentioned below is one with my car only. My car's remote console jacks for the AUX and USB have their own preamp so I have by passed them and put in a aftermarket remote Aux USB and that works ok.
I am half way through doing a write up on the modifications and install if anyone is interested.

Hey mate, does it run Android auto? Trying to figure out which units can and can't. Looks like any running Android 5 can but trying to figure it out. Thanks!
Hello all!
I've got a Joying Octo-core 4Gb/32Gb 8.1 SC9853i unit installed in my 2005 Toyota Prius (w/nav and jbl sound.). I'm very pleased with the main functions of the unit, but I'm having a couple of issues. I've been messaging Joying about it. They're trying to help, but I'm getting the impression they aren't quite tracking me.
The first issue is with the steering wheel controls. My car has the three wire controls which are attached to key1, key2, and ground on the Joying supplied Toyota harness. I have double, triple, and quadruple checked these wires on both sides of each connector. Using my multi-meter, I can see changes in resistance upon button presses when checking from key1 to ground, and different buttons from key2 to ground, exactly as expected. I can see this happening all the way to the iso plug that goes to the back of the head unit. The signal is definitely getting to the unit.
When I go into the control software, though, absolutely nothing happens when I try to program buttons. There is a batch of numbers across the top that are supposed to change according to resistance, but they are quite stubbornly sitting at 255.
If my phone was exhibiting squirrelly behavior like this, I'd re-flash it and start fresh. Extending this concept to the head unit, I found Joying's update page and pulled a fresh copy of the firmware, carefully checking the version for my head unit. This one is the 4.3 release. It appeared to flash successfully, but there was no change in the SWC functions. I also tried the 3.29 release to no avail. I ended up sticking with that one for now, as notifications don't work on the newer release. I also rooted it with Magisk. That didn't change anything, not did I expect it to.
I'm also having difficulty with my reverse camera. My car did not have one to start with, but I added one a very long time ago using a CanView system (a low-production aftermarket mini computer that injected video via the navigation feed.) I've removed all of that except the camera itself, which is a simple thing that produces video on a composite RCA plug, which I've plugged in to the rev-video jack on the head unit. It completely refuses to switch to the reverse video.
My harness has a can-bus decoder which I thought would pick up reverse, but I'm starting to think it only enables the jbl amplifier. So, I grabbed a reverse wire from the tail light and connected it to the appropriate wire in the harness. It still won't switch. I even tried using an always-hot to test the reverse and it wouldn't switch. I repeated this with a completely different RCA camera, just in case the problem was with the installed one. No dice.
I'm at a loss for what to do to troubleshoot now. Anybody have an idea?
cannot say anything about SWC as i have different HU.
About reverse camera - can you post the picture of your harness? Usually HU has the wire marked as "BACK CAM" or "REV CAM" or "REAR CAM" or similar, and the +Vcc (or GND) on this cable controls the switching to reverse camera view. Some HUs have switchable setting to detect either +Vcc or GND on this cable - pls check this also (it is in the car settings in a part protected with password).
Hello fellow Prius NHW20 owner! I have just installed a SC9853i based Android 8.1 unit (can't post link yet, search for Nuoweida 9853 solution). My steering wheel control works fine. I connected a 68 Ohm resister between pins 9 and 10 of the CN703 port. I connected SW1 (pin 7) and SW2 (pin 8) and GND (pin 6) to the corresponding wires of the head unit. I used the Toyota Steering Wheel harness that I got from ebay.
I still haven't installed the rear camera. Let me know if you have any questions.
All,
I have two of these in my commuter cars. (2007 Saturn Ion/2001 Impala)

I commute around 100 miles a day.
I have been pretty happy with these Binize especially for the price point. I have a rear camera on both.
I use it daily for GPS, radio, my playlist (on thumbdrive), and Podcasts (Stitcher). I expect them to be a low end GPS tablet with an amp and they do that. I also have a ELM327 and the Torque app installed on the head unit.
It took some trial and error to get everything setup software wise and I was meticulous on the wiring (soldered connections/heat wrap/full install kits etc.).
They have been installed for over a year now.
Anyways I have decent size fingers and the side of the screen volume can be tricky especially in the Saturn. So I picked up one of these;

The Remote Control unit pairs fine with my Samsung Note S10+ cell phone. It adjust my cell phones volume well and does what it should . The head unit under the Bluetooth icon under AGAMA sees the X09 Bluetooth device but does not Pair as my ELM327 does. I have deleted the ELM327 out of the Paired Devices to see if that is the issue but to no avail.
Is there any application I could download to see what is going on. Is this a issue with Android Head Units?
Are there better Remote Control Units out there to consider?
Also while we are discussing Android Head Units. What Applications or hardware do you have on yours that you find interesting?
Thanks
Chris
Included is what I am seeing...
I have same approach to those head units - low end tablet with BT, gps, mp3, video and reverse cam cappabilities.
But according to your problem with BT connection. Im not sure if bluetooth in those radios is fully functional as in other devices (for transmit files, tethering internet etc) or its just like head set - limited capability only to hands-free talk via cellphone.
But if you use it with ELM (or other CAN decoder), than it should work with SWC also...
Maybe try without Agama launher? Use stock software for test
I think that there are better options for steering wheel control. At the back of your radio there should be two additional wires, marked as KEY 1 & 2. They are designed to be used with resistance-based controls.
Do a refund with that you already have (with BT) and buy this:

or
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-...rand=Unbranded&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851
But before that make sure that you have key1 & key2 (or SWC 1 & 2,)
It also uses BT communication, but not this one in head unit. It has own BT module which you solder to harness and sends resistive signals via key 1&2 wires.
Personally I dont use wireless steering wheel control, but instead i bought controller like this

cheap, reliable, easy to install and doesnt require batteries to run.
If you need more buttons you can install the second on other side

I've searched for my particular scenario and I haven't exactly found it. I have a 10.1" android headunit sold by Rongji listed here:

I've wired my reverse camera into the back of the headunit for power and the AV cable is plugged in accordingly. When my vehicle is running and I go into Reverse, nothing happens.
However I can click on the F-Cam app and choose reverse camera and the image shows while in Reverse.
Is there any way to make this happen automatically?
I've not understand the comments I've read through where some say the reversing action is managed by the headunit software not by F-Cam. If anyone can explain that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for help, links, info.
F-cam has nothing to do with the back-up cam. It's just a separate app which allows manual control of the cam. You don't need F-cam at all for the reversing cam feature to work.
If you don't have a can bus box then you need to connect the reverse trigger wire to the reverse lights (the orange wire from the head unit).

If car has canbus, it can be solved by adding relay. Activated by reverse light power, relay is suposed to switch some stable voltage to suply camera. For example cigarette lighter voltage can power camera. Here:

Hello. I installed android head unit bought from AliExpress. I don't know what board it has. It is 8+128GB, Android 10 OS. It is for Audi A6 2008, manual transmission. I also bought and installed camera. Camera works fine if car engine is off...

Hi All,
I have a 2013 Kia Sportage Platinum.
I have purchased the following items to install an aftermarket headunit to gain Android auto;
aerpro-apa47
AERPRO-CHKI14C
AERPRO-APP9PIO8
aerpro-fp8011
AERPRO-APRTK2
PIONEER-SPH-DA360DAB
Attempted install and found that the steering wheel controls won't work and there is no sound coming from speakers.
I've triple checked all connections and I believe I have everything plugged in correctly.
The CHKI14C I am assuming is the issue. Have I purchased the wrong item for my car?
Or have I missed something?
There is a blue/white wire that is not connected from the AERPRO-CHKI14C. States amp remote wire but not sure if I need to splice it in somewhere.
Thank you.
I have attached the manuals for the factory headunit (lan8900 - has optional 24pin TYCO AMP and therefore no connector B within the 26pin power connector) and for the AERPRO-CHKI14C (CTSKI009.2).
