I would love that this is added to omni, only thing left to make this my daily driver.

Please help me, this adds a LTE toggle qs tile, so people can turn on/off lte quickly. For people with bad signal or bad network implementation by carrier like me, this helps when the phone change automatically to 3g but takes a lot to go back to 4g even when the signal is better. changing this tile state from on to off forces the connection to 3G only, and enabling it back, forces the phone to search for 4g networks.
Please consider this.
Thx in advance

Hi, I have been looking for the solution to this issue. Some ROM do have that tile but most of them don't. This is a really useful and a must have feature for me. Can you please explain how to get this done in any ROM in a noob-friendly way? Really need that 2G/3G/4G toggle QS tile.

First of I know there a couple of them here that changes to so called "3G", but it's not really switching to 3G. It switches from GSM to Auto and that doesn't really work.
I'm looking for one that switches from "Auto" <-> "WCDMA". This will make sure it's forced to use 3G. That will be worth calling 3G band switcher.
It might be very simple to do. I wish I could write simple softwares, but I'm an Electronics Engineer and Network Administrator. I'm thinking of going back to school for programming or something. Seems, I'm more into software now.
Just what I need
Bump
This is exactly what I'm looking for. At home calls keep breaking up on GSM but the quality is fine on WCDMA. Auto doesn't work since it usually chooses GSM. A toggle switch for the home screen would be awesome.
You can use the MortScript attached below as a Toggle Switch.
It has several combinations that can switch from one band to another and also cycle bands including Auto.

Couldn't you just go into the phone settings and set the band to wcdma? That would keep it on 3g.
3G Toggle Switch
here's a 3G toggle switch I made. this will be in your Wireless Control.

Is there an app or toggle I can get for LTE?
I do it right now by enterting *#*#4636#*#* and it works great, but I like to turn it off and on throughout the day and you lose it by rebooting as well. Is there an app available that can toggle this quickly? I have an LTE toggle on my AOKP build 2 rom, but I find it just disconnects me completely from my carrier.
Possibly this.

Definitely has a 4g switch widget. Shows inactive for me though perhaps because I've never activated 4g.

I think this should be expected with any LTE toggle.
Sorry, I'm a little new to the AT&T Note 3 as I was used to T-Mobile and their phones (still use their network by the way)...So, I was looking around to see if I could switch my network modes (e.g. GSM,WCDMA,LTE, or combinations of both). Its pretty helpful if you need to switch to WCDMA,GSM, or other modes. Some of you may know it, but I am new to this stuff and hopefully I help others who don't know much about this either. On your dialer, enter *#*#4636#*#* then press device information and you'll be able to switch network modes! Just found that out and wanted to enlighten others. Press that thumbs up if this was somewhat helpful!
we already know this but thanks. And to get 4G on an att note 3 is pretty much useless without enabling the AWS bands.

On all of my past AT&T Phones, I never had this stick for me. The phone would always switch back to LTE after a short time. I am using Intelli3G with Xposed and I can now successfully turn off LTE when I need to with a toggle.

Why do you switch to 3G, is 4G in your area spotty?

The building that i work in seems to almost block the LTE signal for all AT&T phones. There are a few of us in my department that have issues with this. The phone will constantly switch between 4G and LTE, this also causes the phone battery to die faster. Since we can't flash an unlocked radio the Note 3, the Xposed module was my best bet. As soon as i switch over to the just 4G by making my phone use WCDM only, I have no issues with signal. Using the hidden menu, (*#*#4636#*#*), and switching it to WCDMA Only doesn't stick permanently. I had this issue once before with my Skyrocket, but with that phone you were able to flash a RAT Unlocked radio or a non-LTE radio on the phone and that would disable LTE as well. As soon as i step outside of my building, my LTE signal is strong and I have no issues at all.
In my jobs basement only people who get any sort of signal are people who have tmobile. Would this help me get signal as well?
It's worth a shot, it works flawlessly for me.

I have to wonder if changing your network mode after a throttling would still allow good download speeds???????????????
Update: sadly changing to a different network mode does not work to remove a throttle. Neither does flashing a different modem. If only the bootloader was unlocked.... Crossing fingers and remaining hopeful with my blazing edge network speeds.: (
Can anyone tell me what the default mode is?
At work the 4g LTE signal for ATT is very poor in the building, but we have 4g repeaters for ATT to fix this issue. Unfortunately, phones are stubborn and like to stay on 4g LTE despite having 1 bar of signal vs full signal with 4g. I had this same issue on my iphone 5 but was able to easily force off LTE while i was at work and have a steady, reliable data connection. My Note 4 seems to have the same affinity to wanting to be on 1 bar of LTE, but I cannot figure out a way to toggle / force LTE off and just use 4g. Anyone have any ideas? Anyone know of an application I can use to resolve this issue?
Thanks
try settings...more networks...mobile networks....network mode....It should be in there..I have the sprint model so I don't know for sure...but that is where mine is....hope this helps

Unfortunately, there is no option for Network mode on the ATT version. I wonder if this has to do with voLTE....
I did find a backway to the network mode via *#*#4636#*#* but I am unsure of what I should be setting to "disable" lte while I'm in the building at work.
I think I've sorted this out now. If I change LTE/GSM AUTO to WCDMA preferred it seems to immediately switch and hold onto 4G. I do have to change it back. Maybe I will write something so I can quick toggle this since nothing on the app store seems to work.
hi,
If you are rooted ? You can use an xpose module called Intelli3G
I use it on my phone ,works 100% and switches smoothly/fast between eg 4G..3G automatic
eg if my data is of its on 3G as soon as i switch data on /wifi it changes to 4 G
For interest sake ,here is a link to market ,you can read desciption what it does ?

good luck
Since sprint has such a horrible network (just bad, no like worse than your thinking...like really bad) in the past I've really liked having wifi calling on previous galaxy phones b/c my work has wifi, but I get little to no signal from sprint. However on my 6P i couldn't find the setting at first but can search settings for "wifi" and find a wifi calling page that has on/off toggle. This toggle is not found anywhere else (phones settings/wifi settings, etc). If i toggle it on, it toggles back off with no errors/warnings 5-10sec later.
Any one got any idea how/if its possible to get this working with sprint?
