What to do,, pls help...

Hi all..
In june of this year, I will be looking to upgrade, and will be passing my HERO onto my son, and I am seeking peoples views on which Android phone to replace it with. I love the ANDROID operating system, and wanted to know your views on which processors are better than the stock HTC Hero one ? For me I am looking for a smoother processor and faster phone.
Thanks all.
Ian
Well it's a bit early to discuss about which would be the best Android phone to get in June. That's around the time i plan to replace my Hero as well.
Obviously you're gonna want a Android 3.x device, with a very good processor, possibly 1.5 dual core with a very good GFX and with a good battery that can be upgraded to a better one from Mugen, for example (Desire HD is limited due to sizing, just to name one).
Also from my knowledge, Samsung is producing the best touchscreens, not only for display purposes but for multitouch, as well.
Well, that should be how your phone would be like in 6 months from now, but as i said, its way too early. Just wait and see, test before you buy, and read reviews for upcoming phones!
Thanks for the reply, will keep an eye on the developments... really looking forward to a new Android phone.... feels like waiting for christmas all over again,, hehehe
It really depends on individual taste I guess, as far as I know these are some of the best which I am considering
Samsung Nexus S - Pure Google Android with the latest Gingerbread and future updates to google software
Motorola Atrix - Due sometime that time with ginger bread and dual core
Lg Optimus 2x - Hopefully this year as well with dual core and gingerbread update coming soon
HTC desire HD - which is around now for a while
Best of Luck
the LG optimus2x is out 21st Feb (judging by expansys)
Personally, I'd say the Galaxy S 2 when it comes out, hopefully will be around the time then.
Wait until MWC to see what should be out, will give you a better idea.
MWC ???????
Mobile World Congress. Lots of phones tend to be announced then, and soon after released.

Motorola Pro announced for the EU Market!

Motorola just recently announced that Q2 2011 will see the introduction of the Droid Pro (to be named "Motorola Pro") for the European Market.

I live in the UK and as i just ordered a Verizon branded Droid Pro off Ebay I am definitely very excited about this! Means having the device pretty much before anybody else
The hardware seems to be pretty much untouched, too. That might hopefully trigger a wider attention and demand for ROM development for this device... I do hope it will be possible to flash the EU rom onto the Verizon devices to get a better overall radio performance.
Having a EU rom available might also just offer a lot more potential for many people that have ordered an de-activated/locked Verizon Droid Pro..
This is great news. I knew that the Pro would have very little custom ROM support, since it's such a niche device. At least now, there will be more people that buy it, so hopefully, we'll see some increase in interest from developers.

hope so too, mate since just got my one from the States...
Likewise man, im really loving this device.. its soo quick, and SUCH a big step forward coming from a Windows Mobile 6.5 phone..! The reception is "ok" i would say, could be better... waiting for the first EU roms for the pro/droid pro to hopefully sort that out!
No love for Canada?
So excited for you guys!
Canada needs love too.

That's the problem we have to wait until the battery technology improves for a better watch.
I've been waiting for 6 months for a good standalone watch, but nothing good out there so i will buy one and make it work.
I have to buy one soon before i spend the money on something more meaningful [emoji6]

$102 is a very good price. Let us all know how the order is processed please.
I was considering buying the the S8. But i will mostly likely buy the Unova Ironman even though the design of the Ironman is not great. I prefer the S8 design and the cam placement at the front.
But the Ironman has bigger battery, IP67 and few more sensors. But its $210. I guess the main reason is i'm sooooo tired at looking out for watches. I just want to buy one and start using one and make the most of it whatever is the outcome.

I almost bought the ironman for the same reasons you mention but then I realised that it is a very heavy watch and ordered the zgpax s8.

And when is that coming out? Do you know for sure that there will even be a 2015 edition? If you are interested in not staying in a perpetual hold pattern waiting for the next tablet, you can look into this: http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/1...-through-ebay-daily-deals-for-389-99-260-off/
I just bought mine from that deal. 390 for the Note pro is a great price. This will hold me over for a while. If I want the next new Pro tablet, I will just wait for another good refurb deal again
Value is a subjective thing so only you can decide whether the wait is worth it. Given no details on release dates or specs, it's anyone's guess what is coming when.
Root of your question is whether or not the Note line of tablets follows an annual refresh cycle. For that one has to look at the history of the Note 10.1 line (for which I am unfamiliar).
Honestly I dont know but we all know that every year Samsung is realeasing a new product. But i get what yall saying thanks a lot

The NotePro isn't exactly a line-up as much as the Note or S line-up is. At least not yet. There's no way to know if there will be a next one. (If they do make one, I hope it's with sAMOLED...)
This one was announced in January. If we haven't heard anything by February, it's probably not going to happen.
But truthfully, other than the sAMOLED screen, a new version will have very little to add in terms of hardware. The S805 isn't such a great improvement over the S800, and since the Note 4 didn't come with 4GB the NotePro isn't going to get it either.

Depends how urgent you want one and which screen size you prefer and if you need the spen or not
I really hope they continue making 12inch. I rwally love this size but it doesnt seem to be popular
I bet it will be super popular when MS finally gets around to releasing a Android version of their Office products. That way the college kids will use it. (and I would sure use it for that too)
I'm wondering that comments always targeting the pro screen which I consider it as an strength not a weakness factor to this device.... By all means it's a great machine with a huge display and a lot of money to buy... Let I think it can fulfill my demands for at least one year more

Smart watch under 200$

Guys ,
Would appreciate if you can advise me a smart watch under 200$ USDs.
Good battery life , decent round display, sporty look and connectivity with android are my priorities.
Dont mind trying no names Chinese watches as well if someone can confirm 1st hand experience reg few .

Xaxaxa.
Ok I see that you are totally new to the smartwatches.
There is no point to discuss about 200$, moto360 and then bring into discussion a Chinese device of 60$. Irrelevant.
So, first do your homework, understand what are the differences and then be more specific about what you want.
