hey all,
I'm currently travelling around the world.. and as such I won't be heading stateside anytime soon.
As the title says, my nc is suffering from stuck pixels.. anyone find a fix for this?
they aren't "dead".
Anyone have any working fixes besides replacements?
I had/have one on another device. I think there are some apps in the market to help with this (try searching for "dead pixel" or "stuck pixel"), as well as some websites and youtube videos. Basically they quickly flash different colors over the screen to "wake up" the stuck pixels. I didn't have luck, but it's worth trying.
Unfortunately it's not really feasible to massage the pixels on the nook with the glass screen over the lcd, like you can with monitors.

darn. It didn't work. I guess I'm stuck with this till I get back.. maybe I can ask BN to ship me a replacement to where I'm headed
pixels???
if it's one or two and at the edge of the screen, maybe you can just forget it and save the world by making one less electronic garbage
otoh, if there're many and at the middle of the screen...........
just my 2 cents
Hola! folks , As my title of the post speaks, I'm seeing weird vertical white line shades where screen separation is (This problem appears only when screen has some dark grey colors). Can anyone please tell what is it and why I am seeing it, Has my screen broke ?
I've uploaded some screenshot to show the problem , please give it a look. Thanks.
I`d send it back mate. Better safe than sorry
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
huh? , I'm in doomed now since nexus 7 isn't officially launched in my country by asus. should I wait until it's launched in here (it will in November as said by asus guyz)? . Do I have other options?
Hey xda,
I've got a small question today I got my Samsung galaxy s5, and after a few hours of using it I noticed that when I scroll through a darkish /black colour there is some kind of purple glow.. It's kinda hard to explain.. But when I scroll through a black page with some pictures in it I get some kind of glow it kinda looks like ghosting.
Does anyone has the same kind of experience?
Sorry for the bad English.
Yeah, it is normal in the super amoled since they turn off the pixels in black images and they have a bit delay bettwen off and turn them on when the images change.
Hi please i have a a5 2016 and i noticed few days ago a pixel turned to green . It is a dead pixel ? How i can fix it please reply im worried . It is rare in AMOLED screens ? Thanks
Hi! ..got the same problem, however I can see not only our pixels are dead, also thread stuck in spot..
Phone is new, after two months, in the center of the screen appeared one bright point. I don't know is it dead, hot, or stuck pixel.. It's green and max-bright. Especially annoying at night, while watching/reading with dimmed screen../
Any of repair apps (flashing/snowing) wont work, Odin also - maybe there is some framework, that could at least turn it off (or sth..)???
Did anyone else had that stubborn pixel on this ultra FHD 5,2" 1080/480dpi AMOLED screen?? Anyone can help??
- Did You managed with your green dot??
- Does one bad pixel qualify device to service repair?
Unfortunately you have to replace display. Both of you guys...
Guys, you have warranty if you haven't done any modifications to your phones. In this case, take your phones to your carriers or Samsung Stores and they'll repair/replace them without any question.

I have black spot on left buttom edge screen ..dead pixel i guess any solution .. ...
I'm sure I read a post, on S7 branch of forum or someplace on XDA, a person using an app to pixel scan or screen 'repair' lines on his screen... or something like that. I suspect someone will come along who knows the exact app/method. I'd think a few searches may very well pull the post up.
