Downloading won't work - Huawei Mediapad M3 Questions & Answers

In the last few days I can't download anything in apps like Pocket Casts and Netflix. When I click on download nothing happens. Any ideas what is causing this. Play store downloads work as normal.

Play store problem

Hello guys,
So today when I tried to run the play store app, it opens and gets stuck at loading and nothing happens afterwards, internet is working fine on all other apps and play store was working fine all the time till this happened today
So I was wondering if anyone of you have experienced this and might have a fix?

Try removing you're google account and then add it back.

Apps not updating, downloading or installing from Google Play

Anyone else having this problem? I'm guessing it's something wrong on Google's side, as I could install apps before. Now nothing will install or download. I cleared data and cache for the Google Play app and even factory reset my phone.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I was having the same issue before. I fixed it by visiting Google play on my computer and when you install an app there it let's you send it to your device so I did that once and ever since I have been able to download and update from my actual phone just fine.

Thanks I tried that, but it's still not working. A notification sound keeps beeping every 2 minutes or so but I get no notification.
I can install paid apps, but no free ones.
All fixed now, must be a wifi issue, as I can install any apps over 3G internet.

Package invalid..every other app on play store?

Just got my new Nexus 7 tablet , so happy!! Problem is that almost every other app I try to download from play store tells me "package invalid"..this happened after OTA to 4.3, Netflix, Instagram, Dropbox, are some of the apps I get that message. I tried clearing data in Play store and Google Framework..and even a factory restore..Nothing works..could this be an issue with 4.3?
I had same when the 4.3 happened...I started researching but then the next morning it had fixed itself. Leave it on for a while and plugged in...the same may happen with you. You'll love the N7...best tablet of all.
Same thing was happening to me. A fix I found was to download Hideman VPN from the Play Store and use Canadian server with it. It's not the most elegant solution but it's working until I can come up with something else.
Just wondering, did this start happening after you flashed CM10.2?

Remove your Google acct then re-add it, always fixes for me.

[Q] Downloads fail when in background, torrents pause unless app in foreground

I never had this problem on my s3 but when downloading a file unless I have the browser as the foreground app the download will stop and the file will say failed. I know there's got to be an underlying issue cause when i'm downloading torrents unless atorrent is the foreground window my torrents will lose the connection and pause unless I stare at the atorrent app till it finishes. Does anyone know a fix to this? I would love to be able to have my files download in the background uninterrupted
I have the problem with downloads on 4g using chrome, but not with torrents. Maybe try using another client? I am using an edited adownloader (fixes some search engine links) which I can send you if you like

I was just reading this article about background services in KK... Not sure if it has anything to do with your issue but seemed worth mentioning.

I used to use chrome as my main browser and it would be the app doing downloads. As soon as it wasn't the main window the downloads would stop and say failed. I think that article that was linked explains the culprit. It makes a lot of sense. I switched to dolphin as my browser but it doesn't want to download some things. I have to use chrome and watch the screen to download nightly updates for my rom. It doesn't take too long, its just more of an annoyance really
So it could take more than 6 months for this to be solved if we have to wait for 4.5 (summer) and then hope LG updates the G2 to it.
I download a lot of torrents on Android so this is a huge problem.

No but the thing is I can download torrents in the background just fine.. You've tried all other clients and disabled xposed??
*edit* I once had a lot of problems with downloads and I ended up disabling ALL xposed modules entirely. It worked but I decided background downloads aren't worth not having xposed lol

PROBLEM

So my phone just started shutting off randomly this morning. It seems to be associated with any type of jostling or less than normal strength contact with hard surfaces. These may be just coincidences but I need to know how to fix this

This is random, but do you install Play services or the Play store apk from a third-party source? One time I updated the Play store via an .apk from apkmirror and it did not install as a system app. I had the same app install problems that it sounds like you are having. I didn't realize this was the culprit until I had performed factory reset and noticed that my Play store wasn't present in the app list, hence not installed as system app.
First, please update the name of this thread. If you've realized, the names of threads in the rest of these forums are all descriptive.
Second, what error messages do you receive when trying to install apps from the Play Store? Does it occur when you're downloading a new app? Does it occur when you're trying to update an app?
Third, these two problems don't seem related at all at first glance. If you're phone shuts off when it's being moved, then it's possible that your battery is just loose. If so, just remove your battery, make sure none of the contact pins are damaged, then re-set the battery. Let us know what happens.
Be descriptive.
