I got a c432B160 ss and I still only have a bad update and ive tried firmware finder, it does not work for me and neither does TWRP flashing how can Huawei screw up this bad with an update not not fix it when users simply cannot update without getting totally screwed by them.
I sent a message to me regarding with the update issues (about ,5-6 weeks ago).
They said that if you obtain the bootloader unlock code, your phone can be detected and no longer receive updates.
My friend who took his bootloader code is stuck on marshmallow since a year, even checking the updater app and nothing.
He has VNS-L21, just like mine. I guess i was lucky when my motherboard was changed twice and had a new IMEI.
So just try to sabotage your phone by installing a corrupted firmware and lock your bootloader. Then go to the warranty and tell them that you received an update and you left it overnight with the charger plugged in. Profit.
Why would they believe? Some huawei devices have a change (3.5%) to have their software corrupted when updating their firmware (from MM to N)

Hello everyone.
I have Huawei P9 Lite handset, on stock firmware VNS-L31C02B125. I cannot update the phone OTA, and I cannot update HiSuite. The OTA in the phone itself says there are no updates available, and the HiSuite gets stuck on 16% when it tries to install. I have uninstalled and reinstalled HiSuite, but it installs the earlier version and won't update. My husband has the same phone, bought at the same time from the same place (Vodafone UK) and his has already updated a few weeks ago. I have had a look at the firmware finder app, but the versions shown there all come up as incompatible or unavailable, due to them having been removed.
I have never rooted my phone, installed a custom rom, or custom recovery, etc.
I would be grateful for any help you can give me. Thank you for your time.
Same thing here. Hope somebody has the solution!
Any help here guys and gals? My hubby has the same phone, bought on the same day, and his updated weeks ago. I want to update my phone to Nougat, and it shouldn't be too difficult to do.

I had this exact problem. Look in task manager and you may find that something from Hisuite is still running. If you end task on it the update should complete.

It's fine, my phone updated last week, and is now on Nougat and EMUI 5.0. It was all done ota.
Hi,
Big trouble time with my Huawei P8 Lite 2017 (PRA-LX1) after it tried to OTA upgrade to Oreo.
I had not tried anything before - no rooting, no unlock, nothing - and it measerably failed on its own, well done Huawei.
I tried to create a "dload" folder on extSD + adding update.app file etc. it goes up to 5% upgrade then fails..
I found previous methods and posts here on how to unbrick the phone but it requires to unlock the phone and install TWRP etc.
I will bring it back to the store next week and see what they can do, for the moment I bought another phone..
If someone encounters the same problems feel free to post here.
Edit: for the record the attempted methods (thanks Gigi)

Well,I was before on Nougat and had some battery issues so I decided, maybe going to Oreo would solve my issues,so I go ahead and unlock the bootloader and install TWRP,and then it seems I flashed Oreo No Check recovery on Nougat and it displayed the BOOT error.
The only way I fixed my phone was to buy a three day license of DC Phoenix for 20 euros.
I flashed the first version of Nougat on it and then it installed a new version of Nougat through eRecovery, and after a few weeks the Oreo update came, installed it with no issues.
Overall,DC Phoenix might be the only thing that will work, but at least it is guaranteed to work.
Hi all,
I'm on WAS-LX1AC432B184 and i can't update via OTA because "no update" and I think there's update as a friend of mine has the same phone but different build numbers as i needed to unlock my dual sim capability.
When i bought my phone i could only use 1 sim then i changed it to a dual sim. Can this be the reason why i can't get updates? The guy that did the dual sim conversion told me that i will be able to get updates as normal but i don't at all.
Please help me get the latest update so that i can enjoy the new Android – 8.0 Oreo
Hey there, by looking at your build number, you've got a 3GB RAM variant (LX1 instead of LX1A) Dual SIM (even build number) P10 lite on the global cust (C432).
The strange thing is the build number, stuck at 184 when Nougat arrived at B209/210 (Oreo is at B360/361).
Maybe you did some kind of modification (root, bad EMUI flash in the past) to the system so you can't receive official Huawei updates via OTA?
Have you tried clicking on the top right in System Update > Download latest full package?
Just some guesses here…
Probably, the you're huawei p10 lite dual is a branded? Usualy these models is the very slow for porting major release.

I want to get new updates for my phone to be honest.

Hi sham_1
I sent you a guide wrote quickly in DM (for anyone who might need it, I left it here).
One quick question, now you have an even build number, right? That means that you are on a Dual-SIM firmware.
I suggest you to follow these steps and maybe wait some weeks because I did something similar too while Oreo was hitting Huawei's servers, but I received it only a month later, when the IMEI finally matched my firmware (the IMEI has to be approved in order to receive updates, suggest to "check firmware availability" on Firmware Finder).
"Hey,
I'm not so experienced in Huawei modding, but I managed to debrand my device from C55 to C432, so maybe it's worth a shot.

Anyways, try this:
- Download Firmware Finder from Play Store
- open it and click on WAS-LX1C432
- search for builds like B210 (must be an even number and not an Oreo B361, otherwise you can brick your device) choose a FullOTA
- click on update via proxy/DNS, follow the steps on screen
•
The important thing here is to know if the phone grants you into updating with that build, then failing in erecovery (detecting an error, no brick) so that you can reboot with not updated firmware and do a standard System Update from the settings, that update will contain the same build that you've got installed, but it will be used to basically overwrite everything without losing any data, even thought I suggest you to do a backup.

Before doing any of the steps I gave you, could you please describe me what you did, what method did you follow?
•
In this post, I am giving steps that worked for me when I had a corrupted firmware, but your problem may be different from this.
Check also the HWOTA method (to solve the same problem but with the warranty void, I suggest to use it only if the above method doesn't work), search "HWOTA P10 lite" on Google for more info.

Hope this helps

can someone help me please
Have you tried HiSuite? My phone seemed to stop updating when I had gone through Firmware Finder in the past, but using HiSuite I picked up an update 2 months ago and more recently an OTA update.
Didn't work, I can't update my phone and I think is because I did something wrong in the past, like unlocking bootloader or something. I can't factory reset too..
Hello, I am new here.
Actually, some months ago, I was trying to root my realme 2 pro device and ended up messing my recovery partition and stuck on a bootloop. As it was covered in warranty, I sent my phone to repair (not official). They fixed my phone for free and said that they changed the motherboard (dont know why they did that), and can confirm because serial number is changed, and it has been working fine since then. But when I got news that RealmeUI was being rolled out to Realme 2 Pro, I noticed that I couldn't update because on the update screen, it is showing, already on the latest version RMX1801EX_11_A.11. So, I tried to manually download the firmware and tried to flash but got error that the update is not supported (I'm sure I downloaded the correct one from realme website). Also, I cannot unlock my bootloader as the In-depth test app is showing "The current app does not support your system, please update your system version". Kindly guide me what should I do, have the repair guys messed up something? Any help would be appreciated.
