Cannot install LGH990N as Audio Interface in Windows 10 (Code 10) - LG V20 Questions & Answers

I wanted to use my LGH990N as an audio interface via USB in Windows 10.
In developer options I selected USB Configuration > Audio Source, and waited for the driver to install. It did, but never run properly, and ended with the infamous Code 10.
Important information
1) The driver works for all other types of connection (MTP, PTP, MIDI, ...)
2) I have the latest drivers, latest LG Android Update, latest Windows Update. I have tried to manually download and reinstall the drivers.
3) I have tried to search for the Code 10 solutions and tried whatever I have found. Removing the UpperLimit and LowerLimit values in Windows registry, completely reinstalling all the USB devices, restarting up and down the road.
No success so far.
Anybody had a similar problem?

[Q] Extreme Driver Fail

Hello Everyone,
----------------------------
Nexus 7 Driver Fail
----------------------------
I was Unable to install drivers on Windows XP (ADB and Fastboot Drivers do not load). Every step has failed and multiple drivers fail to install with Code 18 and 28. I’ve tried just about EVERY Tool Kit available out there and searched fourms, still no positive results. If anyone out there may have an answer please feel free to drop it in here, I greatly appreciate all your help. Thank you.
Here is a list of what I have done thus far:
- Rebooted the computer after uninstalling devices with USB Deview before
continuing on to the other steps
- Uninstalling and manually deleting driver from the registry
- Unplugging and repluging the device while watching
the device manager (The device shows up as other devices, Example: nexus and MTP)
- I tried disabling auto driver configuration by Simply pressing the "Disable Auto Driver Config" button and then
changing the settings accordingly
- Registry cleaning
- Removing and manually adding to windows driver folder
- Trying on different User accounts from Admin to guest
- Used Android SDK manual driver installation
- Unplugged the device and Launched USBDevice
- Used USBDeview to uninstall any;
- Android ADB Interface device's
- Samsung USB devices
- Google USB drivers
- ANYTHING else you see that resembles your Nexus.
- Looked for devices with Vendor ID's:"18d1"or"04e8"
I then right clicked these devices, and selected the option to” Uninstall Selected Devices"
-Downloaded The official Asus USB driver off of Asus actual support base
And it said the following: an error occurred during the installation of this device The Parameter is incorrect.
Have I missed this action:
Download the drivers from Asus and unpack them to their own directory.
Connect the N7 with USB debugging enabled in "developer options"
Open Device Manager
Locate the N7
(from here my xp knowledge is rusty)
Right click on the N7 and select properties
Find the option to install/update drivers, Take the option to specify the driver directory where you unpacked the download, ensure that include sub directories is ticked and that should install

I tried the same steps.
I even tried using Android SDK, Universal Naked driver
Still no luck
N7 running 4.2.1 stock

[Q] USB connection (driver?) issues

Following the 5.0 update I've been unable to connect my S5 to my pc (Windows 7 VM for clarity). I can select the MTP/PTP options from the phone, I've (un/re) installed the drivers multiple times, but still have an unknown usb controller listed within the device manager. When I connect the phone to the VM, the OS attempts to install the device drive but it fails. Manually installing the drive by pointing to the install folder also fails. Looking at the properties of the unknown device doesn't provide any additional information.
So.... stuck. I've found a few other similar posts, but it seemed like reinstalling the drivers was the general resolution.
Thoughts?
Found and followed this guide: http://donandroid.com/how-to-install-adb-interface-drivers-windows-7-xp-vista-623
Get to the end after installing the drive, but the device won't start.
Still stuck.

Nexus 4 MTP Problems (Code 10)

Hey everyone,
for the past few months my Nexus 4 has been unable to connect to the computer through both MTP and PTP (although it's only MTP I'm concerned about). Device Manager gives me the code 10: device unable to start error despite numerous reboots of the devices. I have tried 2 computers, and both have failed to install the MTP Driver, however, on my main machine, the OS (Windows 7 64 Bit) refuses to install the MTP driver for another device of mine also (Optimus 2X). This has lead me to believe it is a computer problem and not a phone one. However, I also believe that something must have happened to both of my machines at the same time for the driver to not be installed on both of them. The driver installs successfully and quickly in safe mode, but not in normal Windows, which I hope might be of help in solving this error. I have tried the online registry tweaks, wiping cache, sfc /scannow, reinstalling windows media player, numerous uninstalls and re-installs of the drivers and countless reboots. I have also tried toggling both MTP and PTP, but they both trigger the MTP driver installation which eventually fails. I usually leave USB debugging on, however, this has not changed the outcome of the driver installation. It should be noted that ADB works without issue and can see the device perfectly. I know this was a lot of text, and I apologize for that. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

Windows 10 USB Help Request - Device Descriptor Failed

Howdy,
Ok, I'm one of those who are having issues connecting my Nexus 6P to my Windows 10 PC. I've tried the usual fixes (I'll enumerate what I've done below) but right now where I'm in the state where Device Manager shows the Nexus 6p under the Universal Serial Bus controllers. Shows up as:
Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)
Device status is:
"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
A request for the USB device descriptor failed."Properties -> Details -> Hardware Ids = USB\DEVICE_DESCRIPTOR_FAILUREOk, what I have tried:
1) Settings -> Developer Options -> Select USB Configuration = MTP (I have tried all options here, no change to above)
2) Settings -> Developer Options -> USB debugging = On (I have tried both on and off)
3) Using the USB A to USB C cable which came with the phone
4) Tried multiple USB ports on multiple PCs, no difference
5) NOT seeing the USB configuration type in the notification pulldown so I can not comment on that
6) I have factory reset the phone
7) Tried to update to the latest Google USB Driver.. Unable to... Experience is:
- Steps performed: Device Manager -> Update Driver Software -> Browse Computer -> Navigate to Directory (yes, include subfolder is checked).
- Outcome: Windows tells me the Best Driver software is already installed- Second attempt: Device Manger - Update Driver Software -> Browse Computer -> Let me pick from a list of device drivers
- Outcome: No driver with Android, Google or Nexus shows8) I have tried a couple of the universal USB drivers but none look to work
Is there anything else I can try? I am starting to wonder if there is a hardware error on my phone.
I have windows 10 and I've never had problems. When I plugged in my device my computer recognized it right away.
Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
Have you tried to install ADB with the universal installer found somewhere on XDA, which also installs the Google drivers and see if your device is detected? Can you try it on a different PC to rule out the cable being problematic?
Might go down the path of updating the drivers for your motherboard. Especially USB 3. I've had that same error from outdated drivers on windows 8.1 and the htc m7. I actually had to use drivers from a different manufacturer but for the same chipset.
Went on vacation shortly after the last response and trying the suggestions now. Still no luck. I am starting to wonder if there is something shorted out on the phone. Is there any way to do a sanity check?
Since the last response I have tried:
Repeated the behavior on 2 different PC's
Updated all firmware on my laptop. I have connected a Moto X to this laptop in the past but do not have access to that device anymore.
Tried the Naked Driver
Tried the PDANet driver
Ran through the steps on the Diagnosing USB Driver thread
I have only tried this with 2 cables. One is the cable the phone came with. The other is a cable that Leung says does not work correctly (bought before I saw him reviewing. wondering if this did damage to my phone)
Anything else I could try? That or is there a way to test the hardware?

Can't connect to PC

Since a few days my Redmi Note 7 can't be seen anymore by my computer (Windows 10). In Device Manager there's the yellow alert icon with the message "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)".
Attempts I've tried:
- Connect the cable into the PC's rear USB ports
- Connect the cable into another PC
- Update the drivers in Device Manager
- Uninstall / reinstall the drivers in Device Manager
- Manually install drivers from SDK Tools, Mi Flash and% windir%\inf (wpdmtp.inf)
- Enable USB debugging in Developer Options and select "Data Transfer" by default
- Dirty reflash MIUI (wiping data)
- Connect the phone in Fastboot and Recovery (OrangeFox)
- Use other cables (the official one and three more)
But the error persists.
Everything points to a hardware problem of the USB-C input (which I also tried to clean, but nada), although the phone charges regularly and it can also indicate a software problem.
Somewhere I read that I could try formatting (and not wiping) the data partition, and I will do it as a last resort.
Do you have any other clue before i bring it to repair?
Thanks!
Did you try disable digital signature driver on windows 10?
Google it
