DESCRIPTION:
Hey Guyz Welcome Again in my next Tutorial... Today Am gonna show How to Upgrade/Update your HONOR 4C to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
If your Gonna Step in to Marshmallow from Kitkat or Lollipop, didnot Mattar Both process take same time.....
Lets move on it...
PREREQUISITES:
First of All you should have the files needed for that....
1) Indian B330 ROM Lollipop
2) Indian B370 Update OTA zip
3) Indian B510 Marshmallow OTA zip
4) Indian B521 OTA update zip

Indian B370 Update in form of zip file
Indian B510 ROM Marshmallow update in zip form
B521 from B510 Marshmallow OTA zip update
In Case you have B390 build, flash this zip directly to get B521 ROM Marshmallow
B390 to B521 Marshmallow update direct
PROCEDURE:
Now First thing is if you dont have the indian ROM,,, i have the guide to Flash any ROM on your 4C even of different Regions....

You just have to flash the first ROM which is of G-Play Mini's ROM but dont worry....its the solution for everything for 4C...
Now Extract the B330 lollipop ROM, you will have the update.app file of about 2.5GB...
Backup your all data first,,, It may wipe your all data.... dont blame me then...
If you are on currently B390 or any other Build, Flash directly by Putting this update.app in dload folder and then put dload folder in Root of your SD Card...now go to Settings>Updater and then press Menu and then Local Update... you will find the pkg here... just install it...
Now Flash the Vendor pkg present in same folder of B330 if you are converting to indian ROM... flash vendor's update.app in same way as you flash update.app of B330 ROM...
Now you should have B330 installed successfully... and you should have Build number CHM-U01C636B330 otherwise you're gonna get error of 5%
Now Rename the B370 update zip to update.zip and put it in dload folder in root of your sd card..
Now go to updater and then local update... And install update too same as before!!, it will install that update.zip of B370 ROM..
Now you have B370 installed....
Now times to flash the B510 Marshmallow ROM.... rename Marshmallow file to update.zip file and then do the same procedure we do for installing B370 ROM...
Now flash the Patch for B510 by HassanMirza01.zip file attached below using twrp recovery (Link and method for TWRP) and you will have the option of local update in B510... then flash B521 using local update method.
Then do same for B521 update like we do with B510.... after successfully flashing... Phone will booted again and BOOM!!
Latest Marshmallow now installed
Also Here is the Link for Full Marshmallow Rom in case above MM file stuck or whatever, Link for Full Marshmallow ROM B510
Flash it on B370 or G Play mini ROM, it will install whole Marshmallow ROM.
For any question, ask below.....
In Case you dont like this Rom, and you wanna downgrade to Lollipop again, here is the Link for Lollipop Rom
Download it, unzip it, put dload folder in root of sdcard. Now MM dont have local update option so dial code *#*#2846579#*#* in MM Rom, you will see software upgrade option there... Press it and your done

@Paco_marine stock recovery can flash official zip files OTA updates.. But dont try this method yet... Wait for the final release.

I flashed cust.img , recovery.img , system.img and boot.img separately using adb fastboot & Huawei update extractor , after flashing them i retried to flash the update again using three buttons and the same massage "Software install failed !, incompatibility with current version"

[Q] Stuck in rescue mode

I have a huawei P8 gra-l09 v100r001c576b161
I tried to TRWP it and something went wrong.
I get:
Error!
Func NO : 10 (boot image)
Error NO : 2 (load failed!)
Any help would be appreciated!

C576 would indicate an Israel region firmware.
Did you unlock the bootloader before attempting to install TWRP? What version of TWRP did you use? Where did you download it from?
Similar problem HERE (P8 Lite), which was solved by the op by flashing the original(?) firmware - view posts #6 & #13.
Download link here for C576B161 (download the correct one & only use a C576 build for this - not what the op used as his was meant for a different phone & region): http://huaweidevices.ru/category/huawei-p8-gra-l09. Once downloaded, unzip to Update.app.
If that doesn't work, try solution in post #16 of above thread - i.e. flashing those individual files one at a time after extracting them using Huawei Extractor. Then rebooting, & finally flashing the Update.app file only. Use same firmware file you downloaded above.
If above doesn't work either, try similar solution here: [GUIDE] How to unbrick HUAWEI P8 when failed to update and ends in bootloop. I couldn't find a firmware just previous to your B161 (as required there), so you'll need to make do with B161.

Btw, if you cannot get TWRP to install & work correctly, you may first need to update to Marshmallow (Android v6) - you currently have Lollipop (Android v5). If there is no Marshmallow update for your region's version, it might be possible to change to a European rom (C432), which receives regular updates. Then, if successful, you can follow this guide to install TWRP: [Guide][Huawei P8] TWRP + Root Systemless Marshmallow Installation (GRA-L09 & GRA-UL00)

Hi, I'm currently using the rocatex ROM and I'd like to roll back to emui 5.
I have twrp and my bootloader is unlocked.

Hi,
1) wipe Dalvik & cache, flash stock recovery of b370, and then do like you wanna update to b380 using firmware finder, (use the big file)
or
2) rollback to MM : flash oeminfo for your location (recommended) , flash Rollback Package via dload , and then flash stock B160 via dload.
or
3) remove root from SuperSu app, then use Rocatex uninstaller

P9 lite vns-l31 update from b 360 to b392 help needed

I have already unlocked and rooted my vns-l31, installed c185b360 also installed revolution recovery
I received an OTA update through system update B392
I downloaded it through system update
It's 3 zip files in Hwouc folder in sd card:
Update.zip
Update_data_full_public.zip
Update_full_vns-l31_hw_meafnaf.zip
What should I do?
It enters revolution recovery and it doesn't install the image and returns error
Should I try 3button method? And how to flash all the 3 zip files

sorry if i write this but "it seems" you already know what you should do,
also it does not seem possible that update has arrived that way,
i mean official updates automatically installs..
It seems instead that you have downloaded it with Firmware Finder (full OTA-MF), isn't it ?
(If i'm wrong please just not consider this post...)
Now try to follow guide "how to update" you find here on XDA.. (use search, there is more than one).
My little suggestion: proceed by little steps like installing B380 first, then check if official one arrive, if not install B392 with FF.
P.S.: Read threads more than one time before doing anything, just in case something could escape you... only a friendly suggestion..

version of EMUI: 5.0.1
Android 7.0 version
How should I do it ? Where can I get the original rom?
Currently I have twrp elite 3.1.1.1 installed and it refuses to boot on the system because: "encryption unsuccessfull: encryption was interrupted and can't complete. As a result, the data on your phone is no longer accessible.

Try to install Service ROM from SD card using dload method.

Follow instructions in file "ReleaseDoc". (Read everything carefully before doing anything).
Through this process, your data will be deleted and bootloader will be locked again.
Dload method works with Stock Recovery only, you have to install Stock Recovery first.

Hey dude !!
So you bricked the device ....
I don't know why but if you want B412 firmware
you can use @-Alf- guide and re-upgrade via Firmware Finder
to B370 fullota-mf-pv first, then to B412 fullota-mf...
Or download a previous from B412 firmware (ex: VNS-L31C432B410 fullota-mf)
and use HuRupdater method to flash the firmware.
Extract then stock recovery from B410 via Huawei Extractor and flash it via TWRP.
Re-update finally to B412 using Firmware Finder.
I can help you doing this, worked on my ex device but i can't guarantee 100%.

Unpack downloaded .zip package, you will see two files - ReleaseDoc and Software. Open "Software" and unpack SDUpdate_Package.tar.gaz. Transfer file dload to SD card and follow instructions - there is 'Software upgrade guidline' in file ReleaseDoc.

You can also safely lock BL with OEMINFO flashing and rollback to A6:

fastboot flash recovery2 twrp.img (OVER eRECOVERY!) , boot in TWRP, fĺash oeminfo.zip , go back to TWRP's main menu, select Reboot and Power Off. Then use three button combo and flash firmware from dload. Your phone will running A6 with locked bontloader. If you want, you can upgrade back to A7 via OTA update or using Fipmware finder.
