what would the advantages be over LOS?
LOS would be the only option but loaded ROMs with features are quite useful like RR

Both dark ROM and AICP are Lineage OS based. And I'm pretty sure Pure Fusion too, but not that sure. Those roms simply take LOS and add stuff. So it has 'even more crap' than LOS in any case.

Well actually PureFusion is based off AOSP but still has some, but not all, LOS stuff added.

Yeah, corrected myself as soon as i realized that. Still his comment makes little sense. I've tried half of the custom ROMs available and they were far more sluggish after some usage that LOS ever is, even with custom kernels

I like it simple and stock. Most of the added stuff i don't use anyway. So a lean build of vanilla AOSP would be great.
I know some coding, mostly from microcontrollers and some java, so I am asking myself how hard it would be to build from aosp source.

Which added features does LOS have? Capacitive keys remappable? Ability to change the status bar stuff? Just ignore them, it's not like AICP where you can change the volume dialog outlines xd

Just saying, if you want it simple and lagless, use LineageOS+BeastMode Kernel. That's as simple as it gets and has almost zero lag everywhere. Battery is just okay, around 4-5h SOT. Don't know about PureFusion but I'd say it comes with features.

I would love to hear what the experienced users advice in regards to a lite and stable rom because actually the there's so much bloat ware on the stock one and I've heard that the battery life is improved on the custom ones .
Your help is really appreciated.
You can always debloat your stock ROM. Of course, root is required. If you're looking for a lite and stable ROM I'd recommend you try custom TW ROMs since AOSP ROMs tend to have hiccups here and there. I personally don't like heavily customized ROMs. While certain amounts of customization options can be very useful, too much of it, especially poorly designed ones, will do more harm than good. Best thing is to try and find out what fits best to your needs.

Could you please mention which rom you're personally using? And providing a link for the TW roms would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Hello Guys,
I am using One Plus 2 for a while now and I am very happy with it.
My only problem is the runtime of my Battery also if I am only using less Apps and dont play any Games.
At the moment ive installed the Official CM 13 Rom.
Now I wanted to know whats the best custom Rom for me?
I am not a Android Gamer anymore.
The only thing I use are Social Media Stuff and Messengers like WhatsApp & Telegram.
My most used Apps are:
Youtube
Fenix (Twitter)
MyAnimeList
Streaming Apps
Notice Apps
Mail
Snapchat
Spotify & Soundcloud
Games aren't necessary for me cause I use my 3DS instead.
What do you think guys?
Would be nice to know some opinions.
Go for the latest @Grarak's cm14 build! You will love it!
But you will need to use footej camera for video recording.

Thanks Ive also tested CM14 and got compatibility problems.
Now I am back on CM13 but maybe there is something better.
What type of features you like???
Recently I tried OrionOS it has a nice blurred background when you pull the notification it's very similar in features as tipsy.
Sent from my ONE A2005 using Tapatalk
For battery is pretty good the stock OOS. But if you want cROM then try Skydragon which is pretty good for battery or OrionOS or RessRemix
I have tried quite a few roms. I find that official cm13 or stock OOS works the best.
Try official ressurction remix from RajGopi or Exodus.

Yeah I know its not really relevent, but it is. The goals of Project X development never change, and neither does the quality except in a positive way only.
Never anything I cant be 100% will not do any harm, only good.
So the Fallout 4 Mod sets the standard for Project X. And is just all around one of the best mods ever made for FO4. Not even my words .
Now... I bring that same quality development back to Android to provide this CM Alternative for the leery user who prefers official ROMs but want just a small taste of internal build, and compilation improvements for better overall ROM all around in small ways, but never anything potentially harmful or dangerous in some way to the device.

No problem Enjoy.
So anyone got help getting the build to complete using UBER Toolchain 6.x on all parts? (kernel, system, all of it).
I used to know but with this being an arm64 device.. I don't want to mess something up on accident.
I almost get it but the kernel build always fails in the process. Any help would be awesome so at the least Project X has a better compiler for everything .
Downloading... Gonna taste it soon
Can't wait to give this a taste !!

read the OP. I have not made any yet. I am still trying to get the 2 listed pieces that would change from standard CM14.0 builds working.
Please read the OP before asking questions. If something gets changed.. it will be listed. This isn't rocket science.

First I did NOT say ANYTHING about it being stable. If you do read, it says its an Alpha, duh...
And all changes are completely CM's so far. Bugs, basebands, kernel versions, security patches... all CM.
DO NOT ASK ME ABOUT THESE THINGS. I WILL YELL AT YOU FOR BEING STUPID!!!
My changes are still in testing.
PAY ATTENTION.

The Stability of SultanOS and the functions of 7.1 and Pixel Launcher
Any 7.1.1 rom with "Unlink ring and notification volume" feature ? Or this not implement in LOS yet?
TugaPower N 13.1
RR 5.6.8 best one, aicp better but battery issues.
I've only tried TugaPower and Resurrection Remix. My own experience is that RR is very good and has even more customization options than TugaPower. It seems more stable too but that's mostly conjecture and I don't have any real evidence to back up that claim. They are both great ROMs to be fair and much better than the official COS13 that I was on.
Hello, there is a screenrecorder? Like on ressurexion remix
thanks

Any out there that have fixed the snapchat bug? Thanks.
I am on Nitrogen OS (based on Nougat 7.1.1) and am mighty pleased. Battery charges faster. More importantly, battery lasts much longer.
Was a fan of Resurrection Remix till Marshmallow. Once they went into Nougat, the ROM started heating the phone like a toaster. Obviously, the battery was draining like a full on faucet. Probably, that was due to a problem with GPS quick lock.

Sadly Oxygen OS is OnePlus's proprietary software, optimised for there devices. I wouldn't know why you would want it in GSI form for other devices as you can get GSI roms that are close to AOSP and some with dark mode theming features.

Hmmmm, I'm actually very interested in this request. This seems like a really unique idea. I know @CosmicDan is working on a MIUI port, so hopefully we get some support for this too.

This is just the kernel source that they are legally required to release. A simple Google search will reveal that.
