J5 2016 gets it on 20-24th november
I believe it will. gsmarena announced that in November we'll get the update.

First device will get it January, all note 4 variants except to get it on August, if they are lucky [emoji14]
probably feb for most. after 5.0.3 is released as current lollipop has memory leak bugs.
Don't mind 4.4.4 atm on stock is fluid as hell, from my old N7000 lightyear away.

My prediction update starts on 16-Jan-2015
When A9 pro will get nougat ??

Very soon means....when or in how many days or weeks.....
If i had to guess i'd say up to 6 months from when spotted on benchmarks. It seemed to be like so for the S7.
Maybe coupled with the next security update (hoping) . A5 A3 were quick. S7 was the first, so might have been thoroughly done.

Even so if i'm not mistaken the A5 2017 took 4 months from benchmark to release. So 4 to 6 months is not unrealistic (and a sad timetable).

I m very promptly checking twice daily. Hope you are also.
I read somewhere (cant remember source) it MIGHT get it after the last model gets updated (which would start 27/07), so.... Hope starts after tomorrow. Its a phone that is still on market and has the crappiest of supports, outdated phones have already been updated first. AND there are NO accessories for it on the official samsung stores. Gotta remember to buy only extremely popular phones or flagships instead of actually good ones that dont rip my pockets.

:laugh: checking samsung update history here, it takes between 50 to 60 days between updates. The last one here was 21/6. Means 2nd week Aug might be a good guess.
This is a real good phone without samsung (less compared to their other models) / xda dev support. Still after 1 year of release no custom rom / kernel available. Never been like this with any of my earlier devices, Samsung or otherwise.
If we are lucky enough, next update will be only a security patch only. Will again leave us yearning for nougat for another month or so. My little ray of sunshine :victory:

I see this started over and over, what's it based on? Why specifically Q2? Is it just a guess it do we have anything that actually points to this?
The Stock Galaxy Tab S2 is no longer listed on Samsung's Android Security Updates Scope page, so it looks like the July 1, 2019 patch is the last one. I imagine most folks here are running a custom ROM, but good to know if you aren't.
It did get almost four years of security updates, which is decent. I wish Samsung would make another OLED 8" tablet, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen at this point.
My tab S2 9.7 inch is patched up to August 2019 so there are still updates.

Tab s2 2016 owner here but i have only till july 2019 .
My usa s2 815 bought in 2015 is on January 1st 2018 security patch.. WTF! Anyway to force update? Otherwise it might be time for some roms..
