[Q] Can we expect KitKat? 4.4

So I want to ask will this device get Official Android 4.4 in the past months ? I think it's a high end phone so it wouldn't be a reason why they would not launch it.. Or am I wrong?

Given that the only "proof" that was of the 4.4 update is changed to this saying "no updates planned" and LG has the worst update history in the universe, we can only hope.

Yup, the very site that started the December update leak also redacted it. Yet everyone still keeps spouting out that rumor.

I don't expect an Android 4.4 update until Jan/Feb at the very earliest.

Sprint Galaxy S5 Android L 5.0 Update

So we have seen our friends at SAMMOBILE playing with a Samsung Galaxy S5 sporting Android L 5.0, is it possible that we will see an OTA Update soon for our Sprint variant the SM-G900P? Or will we have to wait for the next 6 months for our Lollipop?
Well, not so long ago a leaked document (SEE PICTURE) from Samsung dated October 5th, 2014 showed an schedule of different Samsung devices that will soon be getting an OTA Update dubbed KTU84P (Phase 2). Notice that our carrier variant SM-G900P is not on this list, which leads me to believe that we will have to wait a little longer, perhaps until early next year.
What are your thoughts about this? Can you wait for the candy or will you ROOT your device and have a taste before the OTA it's released to us? Let's hear what the masses have to say!

7.1.1 is coming !

Hey everyone
I heard the Android 7.1.1 update for Galaxy S7 & S7 edge is in testing at carriers and is just about to come for us
Anyone heard when exactly ?

The Beta testers will probably get it first. Release date is probably somewhere near february or even march.

I'm starting to seriously doubt if 7.0 will ever come. I rather stick to MM right now as not much dev been going for the Google Pixel.

Because it is only a beta release and AT&T does not allow betas.
Final version is rumored to be released on February or March, and even then, carrier specific releases will probably take longer.

No, the official Nougat will be 7.0. It was announced on Samsung Members here in Korea.

And it was announced by Samsung Support in Europe that the official update will be 7.1.1. We just don't know yet. Let's hope for the 7.1.1 though

Well I do want to stop getting disappointed at Samsung changing their words(or giving different answers). Hope we can get 7.1.1 ...

I Think Oreo Update Is Eminent Cuz of recent Security Patches

I don't know about anyone else but I have gotten 3 back to back security updates in the past 24 hours to bring my ph up to the April 2018 patch level. Before this, it had been months since I'd gotten a security patch.
I speculate its a pre-req for the Oreo update because I just bought my daughter the Moto X4 this week & the 1st thing that occurred out of the box, is that it got 3 consecutive security patches to bring it up to the March patch level & only then did the Oreo update show up immediately after that.
This is all pure speculation on my part but based on some recent events that don't add up unless they are about to push out the Oreo update.
What do you guys think?

I would doubt that the security patches mean anything other than the Android Security Team pushed out an extra patch.

Honor release Oreo for 7x.. i think next One It s Honor 8 ?

They're also updating their Huawei Backup app with a newer UI.

I haven't received any updates since Feb, B361, L02 anyone else in India got the security patches for April?

I was thinking this also. I hope it means that for true.

well i am thinking opposite they may be clearing up the queue of the updates towards the end of line

I really hope we will get Oreo and Project Treble, that would most likely mean we could get some more stable ROMs on our phone

Updates after V20c?

Are there any further updates coming for H870, or is the device forgotten already? I received V20c in September, and it was only a security patch. I'm looking for any news about updates coming in the future, but can't find anything

It's already 1,5 years old and it's a LG, forget it. It's falling slowly into the forgotten hole.

LG G5 got update 8.0, so why G6 would not get 9.0

I see this started over and over, what's it based on? Why specifically Q2? Is it just a guess it do we have anything that actually points to this?
