Hi I've recently flashed Lineage OS onto my Galaxy S5 G900T and everything worked perfect except the dialer and a few data issues i sorted my data issue reconnecting to my APN and restarting. When i press the button to call one of my contacts or i dial in a number it says call ended with a minus sign near LTE icon on the topright of the screen. I read it was a problem with google dialer which i then uninstalled with titanium backup and installed truecaller. After a reboot i still had the same problem but with true caller, then i gave up on lineage os and flashed resurrection remix and opengapps 7.1 full. The call problem still persists even without google dialer. Could someone please help me fix this?
Edit: Managed to narrow down my problem. I switched my preffered network type.i switched it to LTE/WCDMA/GSM and now calls go through...just not on lte. any solutions?
No VoLTE. Calling only works on 3G.

Very, very odd problem here. At first I just assumed it was my phone had lost network for a bit, but no.
I've factory reset and reinstalled my ROM, but nothing. My status bar shows full bars (sometimes drops a few, like any phone), but I only have emergency calls available, and the "No service" notification, permanently. I have no idea what's happened or why it's doing it, but I'm sort of out of things to try, so any suggestions would be great?
One odd thing to mention is that I was able to use mobile internet perfectly find this morning, still displaying emergency calls only and No service. I cant hold calls or send/receive text. So, yeah. Anyone able to help? I've had a quick search of the forum but found nothing too similar to what I have, even a recent thread seems similar but not quite the same.
Same here
I have the same issue today.
No more service, for no good reason. I recently upgraded from CM11 snapshot to CM11 nightlies, but all the sudden this morning with no recent upgrade, I get no cell service whatsoever. I've cleared cache, cleared dalvik, cleared/reset data, tried new&old CM roms. Nothing gets it back, it's still "emergency only calls".
Did you find a solution to your issue?

Similar Problem
I have an lg vs980 and I was using it with H2O wireless and later I changed to Simple Mobile. I'm living in Puerto Rico. The phone was working all right and, suddenly, one day it was always displaying 'emergency calls only'.
I did factory reset, then I reflashed stock lollipop and it was like nothing happened, keeps displaying 'emergency calls only'.
Then I found this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2394689 and applied the patch but didn't seem to resolve the problem.
As a last resort I tried flashing cm 12.1 and before first boot applied the patch from the cited thread but no result, keeps displaying 'emergency calls only'.
Has anyone found a solution to this problem?
Hi Everyone!
P8 Lite, B574 dual sim, MM. Had some issues in the past with lack of notifications from WhatsApp and Telegram during standby, but it always worked well with phone calls. Last week only once it happened I could not make a phone call: after inserting a number (or choosing one of the last dialed) and pressing the green button, it simply went back to the main screen. I rebooted and it worked fine... Today it happened again, but I rebooted several times and the problem is still there!!
I tried to force 2G and to disable data, but nothing changed. Don't think it's a problem with the network because I can receive calls!
I'm not home so I cannot backup and reset the phone... is there anything I can do to solve this problem, at least temporarily?
#UPDATE# I tried a new dialer, and it's the Phone app to be not working! How can I reset it, as I cannot find it the app list?
Thanks in advance!

Do you have Xposed framework? If yes uninstall it.
Hello!
I just re-rooted my Samsung S4 phone to Android 6.0.1 ResurrectionRemix and so far everything works great! Just one small problem...I can make local calls but when I try to call long distance it doesn't complete dialing and give me a "Call Ended" without completing the call.
Any ideas? Are there any threads that you can point me out to?
I've rebooted, tried airplane mode on and off. Unless I have to flash again??? Any ideas??
I would updated the modem and bootloader.
If that doesn't work, then clean flash another ROM to see if the same thing is happening there.
This post is now solved
It turns out that the whole area I was trying to call by long distance the telephones were down. It had nothing to do with my Android OS!

Not sure if this is a hardware or software issue but when I try to make a call the dialer freezes for a while and shows the option of swapping calls or ending all calls. After a period of time (up to 10 minutes) the call finally connects. If I restart it, the first calls works as it should but afterwards same issue on all further calls. I have extensively searched for an answer on many forums and have tried the following with no luck in fixing this:
refreshed the profile and PRL
Did a factory reset
Reisntalled the latest RUU and Bad Boyz rom for both Marshmallow and Oreo (first MM then Oreo)
reset the network connection with the ##72 blah blah
Changed the network connection settings to LTE/CDMA from Auto and then to GSM
This is really an issue since I use this phone all day fpr work calls and having to restart before each call is ridiculous. Any ideas?
I was having the same issue, but it seems to have cleared up. Are you still dealing with this problem?

I can't place Calls on my phone anymore. ASUS_X01BDaA and Pixel Experience Plus Edition Rom.
Whenever I place a call it goes "call ended".
Happened with Vodafone and Jio, VoLTE on and off, nothing works.
Happened around a week ago. Just stopped working.
I don't know what's the issue so I'm thinking of installing clean stock OS and then giving this phone up.
Please help me out. ?
Change Network Type
Change your network type to: LTE/TDSCDMA/GSM/WCDMA. Hope that will work.
