Hello Everyone, Fist of all sorry for my English, I am from Russia but I try to learn it.
I have a question, I hope you'll help me
if to go to Settings...Lock screen and security...Information and We can see there Contact and Information. We can type in something here and it will show our text on AOD.
But the question is how can I change the text with the help of Tasker? I need to change the text every 30 minutes.
I have found. If it interesting for someone: Sucure Settings Plugin fot Tasker...Root actions....Lock Screen Owner Info
@Lerinks:
Without root you can use the plugin "SecureTask" instead. You have to set it as device owner before.

Thank you, I will try.
But I have found that the text does not refresh
I want to update information every 30 minutes but when the AOD screen is on it does not update it.
(It is about Secure Settings)
Ok, if AoD does not update the text, it will be useless to change it in settings...

There is one way.... the text is changing when I play any music and you can see the text which contains the name of the track on AOD
I can change it too... and it is refreshing But only when the music is playing. It is so hard
Btw: What is your purpose of changing the device owner info every 30 min?

I have a task something like countdown (event: 1h 12m left) on AOD
Ok. Another idea might be:
Let Tasker show a notification with a number on icon, e.g. "90". This icon will be shown on AoD. Then, 10 min later, delete this notification, show instead a notification with "80" written on icon. And so on.

It is a good idea. I have already thought about it. But notifications in Tasker does not support png or ico pictures. It support iPack(apk) icons.
But...AutoNotification just a plugin can do it. Nevertheless I'll try. Thank you so much.

When a reminder from for instance a calendar event, an incoming message or a missed call pops up, you can choose to dismiss it or delay it (not sure if delaying is the correct name in english, I mean postponing). When you choose delay, it pops up again after a minute or so.
WM offers the opportunity to choose for how much time you want the delay the reminder. If I recall correctly you could delay it for 1, 5, 30 and 60 minutes and 24 hours or so. Is there a way to get this choice back in TF3D? One minute is too fast for me.
Edit: for solution go directly to post 37.
I noticed this too. It's an annoying 'problem' for me. Hope to find a tweak/solution!
Hello there,
I had a little lookie in the registry found something that seems to do the trick, check out .
HK_Current_User > Controlpanel >notifications>reminders>autosnooze> AUTOSNOOZEMINS ......
Sorry for not displaying it like normal registry entries but I hope this is helpful, now I just have to find away of that annoying home screen problem.
Thanks for the Registry tip...I changed the registry and the MAX that it will snooze is 5 mins.....despite the amount you change the registry to!!!
It mentions something about the entry being a Hexidecimal??? I am not sure but I tried 15, 30, 45 and it only sleeps for 5 mins.
Any thoughts?

Thanks. I've searched around for this HKCU/Controlpanel/notifications/reminders/autosnooze/AUTOSNOOZEMINS key a little. What I found is that it decides for how long the reminder keeps bugging you, when you're not responding to it by either dismissing or delaying it. That's not really what we're looking for. Furthermore, I would like to have a choice for how long to delay it each single time, not just have a different generic delaying time.
This does the trick: HKLM/sysem/shell/notification/oem/usedefaultui=1 in stead of 0. It also changes the appearance of the reminder though.
Answer from HTC.
To my question, why I can not snooze with different intervals, I have got this answer:
Dear valued HTC customer, Thank you for contacting our Customer Support Center. We are dedicated to providing you with the best quality service and answering all of your questions and concerns. You recently wrote us about an issue that you have encountered with your HTC device. To clarify your issue, you stated that: <i miss 1 impotant think to the new TD 2. It is the possibility to snooze a reminder with different intervals, which I can choose. Please repair it!>. It is possible to snooze with different intervals. Press on snooze and you will be able to choose different intervals. There’s also 3.party software there will allow you to snooze on different ways. We don't give support to third party software’s. If you have issues, please contact the manufacturer. If the above steps do not resolve your issue, we invite you to visit the support area on our Web site. if you have further questions. Thank you once again for your continued patronage. Best regards, Europe customer support team HTC Corp. Global Service Division
I have installed Pocket Informant 8.51. Can this be the problem? How to solve it? I have not found the way how to snooze with different intervals.
Thanks!
Maybe they misinterpreted you because of the word snooze. Maybe you can snooze when you use the alarm clock to wake yourself up in the morning.
Have you read my previous post at all? It contains the solution!

The normal alarm function pops up a little requestor with an alarm clock at the top and a description of the alarm. The soft keys are snooze and dismiss. Pressing snooze or holding down snooze both have the same effect, the alarm is snoozed for 5 mins, there is no option to change the length of the snooze interval.

As I said: change HKLM/sysem/shell/notification/oem/usedefaultui=1 in stead of 0. That will give you different snooze options.
I sent an email to the Hong Kong HTC support centre. They did understand the problem was with Calendar reminders, but said that the snooze is fixed at 1 minute.
They have said they will pass on to the engineers a request for being able to choose different time periods, so I guess this could appear in a future firmware upgrade if enough other people ask for it too (hint hint!).
Meanwhile, I did the registry edit suggested by deechte and it now works in the usual (less pretty) Windows Mobile way. Thanks for this!
Ben
It seems a bit bizarre that somewhere there must have been a meeting where they decided that replacing the older version with the massively restricted new version was acceptable. Didn't anyone think at design time that the new implementation was a bit **** compared to the WM version?
Thanks deechte! The registry tweak worked like a charm on the Diamond2 - the original "Dismiss" and "Menu" were restored - when I clicked on "Menu", it gave me a big finger-friendly menu to choose the time to remind again - just like the standard WM6.1. Note: Had to restart the phone after the tweak before it takes effect.
Thanks it works
Glad I could be of help. I agree it's a pity that you get back the old-style menu. I prefer it's functionality though.

Deechte, thank you very much for this trick. I was totally dissapointed with the current situation not been able to delay more than 5 min the alarms.
hey deechte, thank for the tip!
luckless me! registery trick dosen'y work for me!
Maybe restart your device afterwards?
doesn't work for me too...
On friday my trusty MPV M3100 decided to give up the ghost, so as I was in London I decided to look for a new phone and picked up an Touch Diamond 2.
And I have to say; I love it.
Best phone I've had and even the lack of a hardware keyboard hasn't bothered me.
There is only one thing which has caused me some bother; on all my previous phones when an sms/mms has been recieved the screen will turn on for a while to alert me of this, however I can't find a way to do the same thing with the TD2.
The reason I would like this is down to me mostly leaving my phone on silent but in line of sight. The silent factor is because I'm often doing things with headphones on (such as at work) and I'm not going to hear the tone anyways.
So, while the green light is nice and all being able to have the screen turn on as an option would be nice..
As a coder by trade I've been poking around to see what I could do to let me do this myself, however if someone has a better solution or knows of an app which can already do it then I'd appricate it if they could tell me
There is a setting in:
All Settings->Personal->Sounds & Notifications->Notifications
Then select Messaging: New Text Message from the drop down list, and there is an option there "Flash Light For: x Minutes"
This might be what you're looking for?
thanks for the reply, however I'd already found that option and it only effects the green light which flashes when you get a messag; nice and stuble in keeping with the device but not what I'm after
Look for this registry value
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL\DisableSMSWakeUpEvent
It should be 1, set it to 0
ah, excellent, thanks
just curious what program you guys are using to edit registry values...
sorry if this is a stupid question, but i'm new to Windows Mobile.. up until the D2 i've always have symbian phones.
I just did a google for "win mobile reg editor" and installed PHM Regedit to do the job.
Although I'm going to write a quick app to let me toggle this particular setting I think (i'll probably post the resulting cab/exe here encased others want it)
I'm using Total Commander (I just started editing the registry). What do you guys use for making a CAB file?

Thank Oruam, great tweak.
I currently have the option selected to display a new sms message on screen as soon as it arrives, is it possible when i hit reply to get the device to go to the touch flow threaded messaging system rather than the WM6.1 default?
Thanks guys!
Is there any way to have it vibrate & play a sound, but not enable the touch screen? The reason I ask is that I dont want the screen to come on while it's in my pocket etc, and things start to get accidentally pressed!
Awesome! Thanks!

I'm sorry ormz.
I'm interesting for that option to have flash light blinking when sms/mail arrives, unfortunately I haven't got the option you mentioned into my settings referred to "new SMS".
I've got the original rom installed (italian version).
May I arrange same setting/option into register also if I haven't it on display?
Could someone help me?
lock the device:
"real lock" - press the hang button (the one on the right) until it shows unlock at the bottom left side
stand-by - press the power button only for 1 second and the screen will go off. When receiving a message, the screen stays black. To see menu-s again, press again power button for 1 second
someone could tell me how to make it works with email event?
You guys might check S2U2 found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=527523

Just checked SPB's forum and there is a pretty popular thread there asking for this exact functionality. Doesn't look like SPB is listening or at least responding. Hopefully somebody here can add one.

I got in the same position when using Homescreen++. I got things almost just the way I wanted them and still felt things lacking without this. I don't even need a fancy display for the notifications / reminders. Just an indicator that when tapped, shows the regular WM notification balloons. Heck, at this point I'd even take a setting that leave the balloons up until I dismiss them. Maybe a mortscript could do this? Anything to avoid fumbling with the little bell. It is really hard to hit with just my thumb.

anybody has an idea how to make a shortcup to launch the (too) litle reminder bell ?
Ditto. Not only reminders...but I get all kind of alerts during the day - text, email, calender reminders. It would be nice if I could assign a shortcut to open my pending reminders
Ive used SSPL a few times to change the ROM of my Mini and now when I get a text message my screen doesnt light up while in standby. Is there any fix for this apart from hard reset or reusing SSPL to see if an error occurred?!
It used to light up before with previous installs.
Thanks for any reply.
Use Advanced Configuration Tools.
doesnt seem to work on my mini, installed it onto the storage card - cant see option to change notifications.....
thanks anyway
You must install it in internal memory.
The app contains tweaks.
I used the exe from the developers site - got the cab now.... shall see how it goes; thanks!
my mistake
Okay I couldnt find any option within Advanced Configuration for the screen lighting up when a text is received but there was a lot of options - so if someone can clarify its there I stand corrected!
I also installed BsB Tweaks and there is a SMS wake up option , I activated this and it does what I want!
Thanks again to fighter7139 for pushing me in the right direction - appreciated bro.
By the way, in ACT the option is:
Messaging--->Wake up on new sms.

tick Flash Light

Hello this is my first contribution to the forum.
About the tweak
This modification is usefull for people who (like me) use the setting "keep wifi on only when plugged in". This setting basically turns the wifi off after a default time interval since the screen was turned off (the default is 15 minutes). For some people this time is way to long to wait before switching the wifi off. So after some research I found a way to reduce this time to any time interval desired.
Procedure
The modification process is simple, the only thing needed is an Sqlite database editor, I preffer Sqlite Editor from the playstore.
steps:
1. first of all, install an sqlite database editor (it can be for PC)
2. locate the following file: /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db
3. open the file with the Sqlite software or APP (you should see something like the first thumbnail attachment)
4. proceed to the Secure section
5. create the following record/key: "wifi_idle_ms" without quotation marks
6. the value for the new record/key is what defines the time to wait after screen off to switch off the wifi and is in milliseconds,
example:
enter 120000 to wait 2 minutes
7. save the changes and reboot.
8. if you ant to undo the changes just delete the record you just created or set it to be 900000 (15 minutes)
the second thumbnail attachment is what my setting looks like with 2 minutes wait time.
This should work on any rom, hope this is usefull for someone

Thanks. Can I get help ? After 15 mins with WiFi On and the screen is locked. We don't get any notifications , Internet notifications like WhatsApp , Facebook , Hangouts , Nimbuzz. But Call and SMS Work. The problem is the device doesn't wakes up. And when I finally unlock my phone a flood of notifications occurs. I tried using PND App from PS. I think it works but ain't sure. I also switched off Greeniffy. I'm on Stock CM 12.1 30/7 build.

This is normal behaviour because wifi turns off, revert changes or reflash rom to get normal behaviour back. This guide was actually ment to reduce the default 15 minute wifi off time to any value desired.

No, it does not change heartbeat interval.
@-decipher- this automatic WiFi Off always happens in Custom ROMs and not in Stock ROMs
activating/dezactivating all the time and other skedule third party apks i think will only take more battery juice instead of helping, just use keep wifi on sleep = never option and it will be the best solution and disable wifi scaning
dont trow stuff in me for this opinion.
