Help with Cricket Hotspot settings. - Moto G5 Plus Questions & Answers

I am trying to figure out how to get hotspot with cricket unlimited plan. I have done if before to my Moto X Pure but the settings on Nougat are way different. Does anyone know the settings and where they are located within the directories? I've searched and searched but haven't come up with anything.

[Q] Settings controls without flashing?

I'm kicking my wife's Droid 2 down to my daughter. I've put it on a prepaid Page Plus plan with just a few voice minutes and metered data, so I'd like to be able to turn off mobile data completely. My idea is that my daughter can use wifi when it's available for data connectivity, and where there's no wifi it's just a voice phone.
I've seen those controls in the settings for other devices, like my Nexus and my old Fascinate which was running CM7. So I guess I could root the D2 and load CM7 or another custom rom if necessary. But I'd rather not go to the trouble if I can avoid it. Is there another way to achieve the functionality I seek?

Found it myself. Under Settings/Battery & Data Manager, unchecked Enable Data.

No mobile data while making a phone call?

Both mine and my wife's 6p's are not able to access the internet while a call is in progress. My phone is unlocked & rooted, however my wife's is complete stock so I know that can't be the issue. I've also tried disabling the "enhanced" calling with LTE under cellular networks on both devices and this doesn't fix the issue, either. We're on Verizon, for what it's worth. Is anyone else experiencing this? If so what carrier are you on? Thanks!
EDIT: Fixed it for anyone else who comes across a similar issue: after going into my Verizon online and adding the Advanced calling 1.0 feature to my line, then rebooting my phone, and waiting a few minutes, things automagically started working.

Just bumping because I had the same issue and this fixed it.
Thanks
Hi, I'm having the same issue with a stock Nexus 6P on Verizon. However, I can't find Advanced Calling 1.0 anywhere. I found 'HD Voice' on Verizon and added it to my plan, and made sure the 'Enhanced 4G LTE Mode' is on and it still doesn't work. I've rebooted many times, no luck. Any ideas? I read somewhere that it may depend on what kind of tower you are on, does anyone have any more information about that or what I can do to make this work? I also still have unlimited data and I use my hotspot all the time, so this is a real problem. Thanks!
I am bumping this thread. I have unlimited data under the Verizon grandfathered plan. Does turning this feature on count as a change to my account and possibly mess with my unlimited data status?
Anyone else with a similar problem? I am also using an unlimited data plan under Verizon. I have the feature turned on and still have data dropout every time I am on a call. This has been present ever since the 6.0.1 update for me.....

Nexus 6p hotspot issue

Hello,
Iam having issues activating hotspot feature with this phone. It keep saying contact att, which I did but they were not much of help.. Has anyone encountered such issue. My current plan does include tethering. Att even update my IEMI in their system..
Anyone. Please help if you know a way around it.
Thank you
Easiest way to enable tethering is to root phone then add the following to the bottom of /system/build.prop "net.tethering.noprovisioning=true"

Disable Hotspot Verify? (T-Mobile) (H918)

Has it been discussed or brought up about being able to disable the Hotspot Verify option?
My old Moto X Pure didn't need to verify (I have the service) to enable the Hotspot. What I noticed this do was two fold:
1) data usage appeared as my normal phone usage
2) faster speeds over hotspot for my connected devices
+1
maybe an app for taht?!
Got unlimited data but limited hot spot so would be great to make things better
Now that AT&T/Sprint/Verizon are also rooted, it would be great to find a universal solution. I'm on AT&T and my V20 also does this. It's really annoying, I hate having to wait to enable my hotspot.

Mobile Hotspot (Provision Mod)?

Looking for a mod for the V20 VS995 that allows mobile hotspot to be turned on without the Activation of service message saying to add the feature to your plan. Anyone see this floating around?
A few threads so far on exactly that, and as of now, it does require a rooted device in order to work around it.
