Tripped Knox using stock firmware - what did i do wrong? - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hi, I purchased an S7 Edge duo G935FD that was from Nigeria (CSC code ECT). It was running on Android 6 when I booted so I upgraded to 7 through OTA and checked Knox which showed as 0x0. I live in the UK and am with EE network, so i decided to flash the EE stock firmware to enable OTA and VoLTE (see download link below). The EE CSC code (EVR) did not show in my available CSC on the original firmware.
I downloaded and flashed the second to most recent EE firmware, so i could test OTA. The EE firmware is for the single sim version of the phone but I have read on this forum that the single sim firmware can be flashed to the duo. I flashed BL, AP, CP, CSC using Odin. I didn’t select re-partition.
The phone booted fine but the knox count had tripped to 0x1. I received notification of an OTA update but the OTA update failed (it downloaded and the phone rebooted, but the file did not take for some reason and i received an error message).
I then re-flashed the firmware but this time I selected re-partition in Odin. Everything worked and the OTA was successful.
How did I trip knox? I don’t want to make the same mistake in the future. Was it because i didn’t re-partition the phone on my first flash?
Many thanks

Active CSC code

Hi guys,
I recently bought an S5 which was on 3 UK. I've downloaded the S5 BTU Firmware and installed it through Odin.
I then factory data reset after installing but when I connect to Kies, it's still saying that my phone's CSC is H3G. I've downloaded Phone Info and it says my CSC is BTU but the active CSC is H3G/BTU.
How do I get rid of the H3G so I can get full BTU OTA updates? I'm not sure how to go about it as I thought that a factory reset would sort the CSC problem.
Any help would be great
Thanks.
***EDIT***
Seems I found the problem. I forgot to go into recovery after flashing BTU firmware.
Went into recovery and now all is sorted and i'm on full BTU

I have the same problem with multi csc. How do you sorted it out from recovery? Also, does it wipe all data?
Thanxxx!

Help me understand CSC codes, Flashing different firmwares and Odin

OK - I started with a unbranded UK A300FU - CSC code BTU on 5.x
I flashed a (supposedly) UK VOdafone 6.0.1 rom using Odin and the ROM n the AP sjlot
It appears this failed - my Modem wasn't updated an WiFi failed - the advice elsewhere is to go into download from a cold phone.
Also, it would appear the firmware wasn't UK, but some germanic version
I restored from a TWRP backup
My phone details now says the "orginal CSC Code" is VD2
If I want get back to showing Original code as BT should I re-flash in Odin the firmware that matched the twrp backup ? If so , should I stil use the AP slot, or should I use the CSC slot?
Many thanks
Use CSC slot.
Also, the reason why your TWRP backup restoration didn't touch the CSC is that it has it's own partition, which one normally does not backup.
You could flash an entirely unbranded marshmallow rom of your choice, and flash the BTU CSC of lollipop, it should still theoretically work.

Flashing stock rom via odin failed..fap lock?

Hi,
I tried to flash a stock firmware today using odin, however it failed. On my phone it says custom boot binary blocked by fap lock, but i am flashing stock firmware only. I have never rooted or unlocked the bootloader. Now my phone is stuck in the downloading mode. How do i fix this or successfully flash?
Regards,
I tried everything, now i get a secure lock error?
To recap, i have a g935w08 and i was trying to flash the BTU firmware (G935F) which i downloaded from samfirm, i used all the BL, AP, CP, CSC (used regular CSC) and it refuses to work. I am using odin 3.12.
Who can help me with this?
Try odin 3.11.1 as it says on the download page, failing that, try and flash your original firmware.
Instructions at the bottom of this download page: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/116121/G935FXXU1BPLB_G935FBTU1BPK3_BTU/
I gave up. Could it be due to the fact that i am trying to flash a G935F firmware onto G935W?
yes that's very possible, in your post above you said you have a G935F ?

@Seanie280672 I have updated it now. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Installing stock with ODIN not removing root

Aight, I have S7E G935F and I wanna sell the phone. I wanted to unroot the phone, so I installed stock firmware through ODIN. I added AP, CP and CSC. I didn't add BL 'cause it gave me an error (sw rev check). Now I can't open S health for example, because it says it doesn't work on rooted phones, even though root checker says I don't have a root. Halp?
You need to flash the newest firmware for your phone CSC. That means including CSC. Newest firmware would not give you that error.

Failed official firmware install (SM-T580)

My device got FRP locked and so I used Odin to flash the official firmware from Sammobile and now I have T mobile menus like personal hotspot in my settings apps even though my device is the Wi-Fi only tab A 2016.
Here's how I got here:
I flashed the correct firmware, and in Odin I flashed the ap file, that's all. It succeeded but when installing updates, it said no command and went to the stock recovery. I factory wiped and rebooted.
How do I get rid of the T mobile menu's?
Any help would be appreciated
FIXED: Reflash in Odin with BL and CSC file
Same
I got the same problem, fixed it by flashing ap and csc
I live in the US and chose the XAR version from Frija
Now my lockscreen doesn't work, how do i fix it?
