Failed official firmware install (SM-T580) - Samsung Galaxy Tab A series Questions & Answers

My device got FRP locked and so I used Odin to flash the official firmware from Sammobile and now I have T mobile menus like personal hotspot in my settings apps even though my device is the Wi-Fi only tab A 2016.
Here's how I got here:
I flashed the correct firmware, and in Odin I flashed the ap file, that's all. It succeeded but when installing updates, it said no command and went to the stock recovery. I factory wiped and rebooted.
How do I get rid of the T mobile menu's?
Any help would be appreciated
FIXED: Reflash in Odin with BL and CSC file

I got the same problem, fixed it by flashing ap and csc
I live in the US and chose the XAR version from Frija
Now my lockscreen doesn't work, how do i fix it?

[Q] G901f rooted bricked after stock firmware lolipop flash

Actually it was not known to me that my g901f was rooted. I just flashed it with NEE stock firmware lolipop, which eventually bricked the set.
I tried Smart Switch manual insertion of Model and S/N, but it says no database verification. So i tried again odin 3.09 to flash with various firmwares which results in zero.
Set is in white screen mode, upon pressing power+lower vol+home it enters in downloading mode. I flashed 4 files + PIT of jovilonas but to disappointment. One strange thing I experienced that during flashing it always struck at image.ext.4 and failed, but I selected the T Flash option then it completed successfully but after reboot it is same as if there was no flashing at all. Before bricked it was having KitKat 4.4.2 and upon Kies software update check it showed country KSA Product Code NHK7 (as i recall but not sure about Product Code accuracy but at last there was 7, but dead sure about KSA as Country).
Please help me with flashable firmware link and proper procedure. Grateful to you.

Memory 1: as i have come to realize that my G901F was not Stock Rom Flashed and then Reflash to Root that ROM. It was already a Rooted Firmware Mod. Cause simply rooted Stock ROM when executed as Factory Reset it removes Root (as some one told me during my quest to unbrick it). Now it is clear to me that before flashing with Stock ROM, i factory restored the set but there was nothing changed and the root was there. Only issue was that it asks for wifi password whenever it restarts rather than storing it once.
Memory 2: There was no KNOX counter while it was on KITKAT 4.4.2. Neither in the Device Info nor in the Downloading mode (power+vol down+home). It always shows, ODIN MODE
MODEL G901F
System Binary Samsung official

Messed up flashing Modem and Bootloader on G900W8 Wind Mobile

So, I wanted to flash a custom ROM like Revolution S5 which runs on 5.1.1 but I was told to flash Lollipop BL and Modem, so I used Odin 3.11.1 and used the BL and CP option to flash the bootloader and the modem at the same time. But when I booted up the device it showed the marshmallow boot animation but never booted up. So, the biggest problem here is there isn't a 6.0.1 firmware for Wind Mobile that isn't on that bs rapidgator site so I can try to fix it. Does anyone have it?
Just to clarify:
Not hard bricked: Can enter recovery and download.
Yes, I tried restoring a nandroid backup to no avail.

Help me understand CSC codes, Flashing different firmwares and Odin

OK - I started with a unbranded UK A300FU - CSC code BTU on 5.x
I flashed a (supposedly) UK VOdafone 6.0.1 rom using Odin and the ROM n the AP sjlot
It appears this failed - my Modem wasn't updated an WiFi failed - the advice elsewhere is to go into download from a cold phone.
Also, it would appear the firmware wasn't UK, but some germanic version
I restored from a TWRP backup
My phone details now says the "orginal CSC Code" is VD2
If I want get back to showing Original code as BT should I re-flash in Odin the firmware that matched the twrp backup ? If so , should I stil use the AP slot, or should I use the CSC slot?
Many thanks
Use CSC slot.
Also, the reason why your TWRP backup restoration didn't touch the CSC is that it has it's own partition, which one normally does not backup.
You could flash an entirely unbranded marshmallow rom of your choice, and flash the BTU CSC of lollipop, it should still theoretically work.

Flashing stock rom via odin failed..fap lock?

Hi,
I tried to flash a stock firmware today using odin, however it failed. On my phone it says custom boot binary blocked by fap lock, but i am flashing stock firmware only. I have never rooted or unlocked the bootloader. Now my phone is stuck in the downloading mode. How do i fix this or successfully flash?
Regards,
I tried everything, now i get a secure lock error?
To recap, i have a g935w08 and i was trying to flash the BTU firmware (G935F) which i downloaded from samfirm, i used all the BL, AP, CP, CSC (used regular CSC) and it refuses to work. I am using odin 3.12.
Who can help me with this?
Try odin 3.11.1 as it says on the download page, failing that, try and flash your original firmware.
Instructions at the bottom of this download page: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/116121/G935FXXU1BPLB_G935FBTU1BPK3_BTU/
I gave up. Could it be due to the fact that i am trying to flash a G935F firmware onto G935W?
yes that's very possible, in your post above you said you have a G935F ?
"To recap, i have a g935F and i was trying to flash the BTU firmware"
@Seanie280672 I have updated it now. Does anyone know if this is possible?

BTU 7.0 back to 6.0.1 SEB

After all the hype I decided to try out the BTU nougat firmware, flashed the AP file via odin. Found out its buggy for me so I installed back stock 6.0.1 firmware for baltics, the same I had when I bought the phone. I also did wipe data. Now Galaxy Care says my device isnt compatible for it and Samsung Members app says my device isnt supported. What did I do wrong?
By the way before doing data wipe when my phone booted up after installing back to 6.0.1, it asked me for some.kind of password. I downloaded the firmware from sammobile.
Edit: maybe it was because I selected only the AP file in odin when i installed back the SEB firmware?

You need to flash all files via Odin when doing this.
AP, BL, CP and CSC!
When reverting back and forth between completly different room you need a clean and install, and will loose personal media like settings, text pictures and so on, if not backed up.....
And after the FIRMWARE has booted, you turn OFF the phone and boot into the orginal recovery again. Flash the cache/dalvik and then factory reset, restart!
So yes
Like @LyLu said, you need to flash all 4 files, not just AP.
Also, if you are asked for a password and haven't set one, the default password is default_password
Unfortunately default_password is incorrect, does not accept it.
Which password is required?
Thanks.
