Head Unit radio sound perfect but MP3 & video are noisy - Android Head-Units

Dear friends, i've just install a new android head unit to my car, the problem that i still can't understand is that the music sound good each morning, but after that the sound get noisy for mp3 & video files, (from the unit, or usb or internet) only the radio music keep the good sound.
This morning i 've disconnect the head unit and test it with a separate speaker and again same problem, radio okey but mp3 & videos are noisy, which mean this is head unit issue.
please if any one can help do not hesitate,
Thank you

3 possibilities:
- go to factory settings and check individual source audio volume
- try with another music player (poweramp has a gain knob, you can turn that down). I had this issue with poweramp that sounded distorted, while default music player was fine. Turned down the "vol" knob a bit in EQ/Vol settings and it was fine.
- change unit

Thanks zerozoneice, well, i've upgrade my android to version 6 and problem of sound still exist in addition to SMS shown on the screen said ; ' UI & MCU does not match '
I ve tried other media reader but no change.
Now supplier told me that this is a hardware problem and that he will send me a mother board because he though that actual one may be damaged.
could this problem of sound be a mother board issue ?

Headset audio problem

Hiya, my wifes Atom has developed a problem with the output through the headset.
While listening to MP3's it's filtering out bass (well the effect is like its turning all songs into Karaoke the low voices disappear!).
Using the phone speakers the audio is fine.
Pushing the headphones in slowly, with no clicks you can hear reasonable audio in both earphones but quietly - low levels are audible.
First and second click, one ear piece audio, with distortion.
In all the way - both ear pieces give audio at full volume but without the bass and some distortion.
So, things I've tried so far. Different headset, same prob. Adapter and normal earphones, same prob. Installed different audio software (tried mort and gsp), same prob. Enabling and disabling the equaliser. Adjusting the volume, same. Soft reset, same. Restore to previous backup, same. Hard reset, same. Opened it up and checked all plugs, and cleaned the headset socket with some isopropyl, same problem.
Anything else I can try? The service centre for these things is on the other side of the country and this is her only phone/media player (it would take minimum 2 weeks an a stack of dough for a service repair).
Firstly, you could provide us with a bit more information on the handset itself? say....
Model and ROM?
Also what kind of handsets you are using?
The stock wired headset? or a third party headset?
name of the media player?
Hi, i ve have the same problem since yesterday , maybe i used some shortcut keys - had a lot of windows opened, now i canot hear people talking in a movie or mp3 - karaoke efect, if i push headpshones out just a little bit the sound is almost normal. I have this problem on my laptop and am using USB headset-- its the same problem with or without USB modul.
many thanks for help
ps: first i made system restore then i reinstalled the codecs - klightmegacodecpack , no help

Dasaita 10.2" Android 6.0 head unit - Audio Issue

Hello, I recently installed the above Android unit into my 2014 Mitsubishi EVO with Rockford system. It came with the can bus decoder MT-SS-03 for 2014 Outlander. I set everything up in the factory settings menu but I'm having a major audio problem that sadly is ruining an otherwise awesome experience.
If I listen to any music at high volume all system audio cuts out completely for 5-10 seconds at a time. I've found this problem is directly related to the volume. The louder it is, the quicker the audio will cut out. I've double and triple checked all wiring and pins, updated to the latest MCU 2.59, Android system (8-3-2017), etc.
I'm out of ideas on what to try next but hoping someone here can shine some light on the situation. Thanks in advance and looking forward to putting an end to this issue!
do you have proper canbus?
Yes I do, according to them. I did get a red one though which was labeled for 2014 Outlander which I understand to be the newer can box for 2014-2015 EVO but the pictures I've seen show a black box and mine was red but labeled as the newer one. I thought the older 2008-2013 units were red. Not sure if that makes a difference or not but I do have sound from all speakers so it works it just cuts out at high volume. However, the amplifier settings on the Android unit do respond a bit strange. The sub slider seems to change all speaker output and not the sub directly and has a pretty minimal effect. The fader seems right at least as far as the channels go.
In the meantime I did contact the seller on Amazon about the issue. They told me the issue is caused by the high power protection of the factory amplifier. To fix the issue they want me to re-install the factory radio, turn the volume sliders down to the "middle part" and then install the Android unit again. This seems a bit strange to me but it could be the factory radio interfaces with the amp in a different way and is able to control the gain of the sub and the Android unit cannot. With the newer Android unit I noticed the max volume is much louder so maybe I'm hitting some sort of over current protection causing the amp to momentarily shut down. Has anyone ever heard of this?
What I'm not sure about is when this procedure would be needed. Is it because I had the amp slider on factory unit is set too high before I removed it or is it because I disconnected the battery and the amp defaults to a higher setting that only the factory unit can adjust? It would be a real shame if every time power is cut from the amp I need to repeat the process. I fear that may be the case because I'm not sure the amp has an internal EPROM or non-volatile memory that's saving the settings and I did in fact disconnect the battery.
Either way I'll be happy to finally get to the bottom of the issue and I'm sure I'll find out whether or not I'll need to swap the radios again. Until then I'll keep the factory unit closeby. Luckily it's very easy to swap out so fingers crossed this fixes the problem. It's going to be a few days till I pull the radio out since I'm also waiting for a replacement USB harness since one of mine is inop due to a damaged wire.
Please let me know if anyone has any input about this. Thanks again.
Ditto - did you try swapping back and lowering the volume, if so, did it resolve the issue?
I have only had mine for 3 days, Dasiata HA2106-S720 with Dasaita CB003 Canbus harness in a 2013 Mitsubishi ASX with Rockford Fosgate. I would agree that the volume seems higher, so there could be some truth in the Sellers theory.
By the way my experience with Subwoofer control also matches yours - adjusting the lowest frequencies on the Graphic Equalizer seems to affect the main speakers more than the subwoofer, and I am not getting the same 'punchy' bass as the OEM Head Unit.

You made also the Car Settings to work well ? Things like keyless operations, windshiel wipers operation, lights time out, auto fold mirror, etc ? Thanks.

Connecting USB DVR Disables Sound (Pumpkin 5.1.1)

Hi there,
Hoipe someone can help
I have a Pumpkin Single Din Android HU - MTCB on 5.1.1.
Model: RQ0110 on Stock firmware
I bought the Pumpkin DVR camera to use as a dashcam.
But after plugging it in, music volume gets muted.
Mute is off, volume is adjustable, player is playing, graphic eq is registering, but no sound.
Touchscreen beeps are working so it is not a hardware issue.
- I have tried music and video
- I have tried stock music player, poweramp and VLC
- I have tried playing bluetooth music from my phone.
Still no sound other than touchscreen beeps.
As soon as I unplug the DVR camera, the sound comes back on.
I have gone through the settings to see if there is anything that may be causing it, but I can see nothing.
If anyone can help that would be great.
Hello. I have a erisin android 5.1 and the same problem. Any solution ?

Joying Head Unit, Android 6.01, GPS Mix and Poweramp

Hi All
Wondering if someone can point me in the right direction.
Recently received my Joying Head Unit back from China as I had the black screen issue. Even though the unit now works and the screen is displayed, part of the Touchscreen doesn't recognize when you touch it (Oh well, back tos peaking to Candy at Joying to see what can be done)
Anyways, the issue I am having is for some odd reason, when I am using Poweramp and Waze together, Whenver I get a turn by turn direction from Waze, any music that is playing via Poweramp goes completely silent, instead of reducing the volume of the audio track.
Previously I could play Music and when a direction came via Waze it would reduce the music volume, give the direction, and then raise the music volume back up.
But for some odd reason now, its not doing it.
I've checked the 'Car Settings' option on the Joying Head Unit and can confirm that GPS Mix is On and my Navi App os set to Waze.
Is there another setting that I am missing here? How do i get it to go back to how it was?
Thanks in Advance
there is another option in Car settings, smth like "Sound Mixing Scale", that defines, how much attenuation should be applied to the music volume during navi sounds.. Try to play with this setting

I'll try that setting but I don't think its that.
Will report back in a bit
adjusting Sound Mixing Scale hasn't fixed the issue
as i don't use PowerAmp, i can't know what settings it has. Can you try to reproduce it with other music player (it is always good to test with built-in player) ?

Waze has the option to "play to phone speaker" or something alike. It changes the behavior of Waze with regard to other media output. Didi you try that setting?

Discovery 4 / Range rover Sport Head unit - No Microphone

Hi every one .
I recently took a punt on a Discovery 4 HU for my Range rover sport . This was due to them basically being the same system.
The china seller/factory has rectified a few problems for me so far
OEM interface touchscreen did not display/work .. They fixed that with an update.
Overheating - Another upgrade of the main system this time, not had a try in 30 degree heat yet.
My main problem though seems to be the issue with the Mic.
Basically any Google service that you can use a microphone for or the Chinese created phone software any time i speak the rear of the unit makes a clicking sound ( sounds like a mechanical click, like a relay)
No sound is recorded .
but ! i downloaded a microphone app from the play store and it works fine with the built in mic.
The seller basically says to use my OEM bluetooth phone thats built into the car , which is fine .. But kind of negates the problem of this not working.
This is the unit
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/400...earchweb0_0,searchweb201602_,searchweb201603_
It runs a A53 processor with 4gB Ram.
Audio is outputted via the built in AUX cable.
Many thanks
Luke
ok , looks like my unit is a variation of the Mercedes 8.4" unit.
I have tried to test the microphone a little more , It still makes a click when the microphone symbol is pressed.. But if i literally put my lips on the microphone ( its built in ) it is hearing what im saying.. its just VERY low . Im starting to wonder if the "relay clicking" noise im hearing is some kind of noise suppression .
The microphone recording app i downloaded , This makes no clicking when recording.
