S7 Edge files Not showing on Computer need assistance - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions & Answers

Hello Everyone, I am trying to Root my S7 Edge and I installed the Samsung USB Drivers on my computer it didn't work the first time so I deleted the driver and reinstalled it. The USB Drive sees the S7 as (Samsung SM-935V) but when I click to browse and open the files on the S7 it says and shows "THIS FOLDER IS EMPTY". How can I get my S7 and Computer to show and open the files on the device so that I can root my S7 Edge ? Thank You in advance.

You have to go to developer options and under the networking tag change usb configuration to mtp.

[Q] How to Transfer files to the 10.1 via Windows 7

Hi All,
I've tried everything, including the usb drivers from the root guide and installing the Samsung Kies Mini program, but I can't get Windows to recognize the memory on the device. I want to transfer some movies on the Galaxy and have not been able to figure it out.
When I run the Kies software it says "plug in your usb" and when I plug in the Galaxy nothing happens...
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
It should work by just plugging in the usb/connector cable. You don't need Kies (doesnt support the 10.1 anyway right now)
When your pc does not recognize your tab, something is fishy about your pc/ usb.
USB connection should work:
(Autoplay should pop up
Select open device to connect (GT-P7510)
Click on phone
Select directory to copy file to)
Sounds like a PC problem. (Look in device manager and see if your USB controllers are ok)
Looked at Device Manager, no issues under USB.
Comes up as an Android phone...
forget the cable...
try 'Samba Fileshare' app free from the Market.
Connect to your 10.1 over WiFi and send files to it via the shared folder it creates.

Worked fine for me without installing anything.
On another note, the Kies software does seem to somewhat support the 10.1 as it installed the required adb drivers when I chose it from the menu.
im having problems too.... for now I am using dropbox.
I have a shared folder on my PC and use ES File Explorer over Wifi, it's simple and works a treat. https://market.android.com/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&feature=search_result

I had to disable USB Debugging to get mine to pop up. Took me a while.
Oh thank God I am not the only one having this problem,,, i have tried every driver combo out there plus leaving USB debugging off and still i get nothing on my windows 7 machine. I have tried three different machines and all the same so it is not a computer issue i think it is a driver issue or a interface with the tab????
Interesting thing though is that I can push via ADB all day it that connects easy!!! WTF?????

Not sure which driver you tried to install, but I would probably manual install it even though it was plug and play for me and probably most other GS4 users. I found the Samsung's AT&T page and the driver download link but I can't post links yet because of, well, my post count. If you do a search of "Galaxy S4 SHG-l337 driver", you get a "Support - AT&T...." link (should be first one) that links you to a Samsung.com domain. Go there, scroll down, and hit the "Downloads" tab and install that driver.

Go to control panel -> programs -> uninstall a program
when the list is displayed, see if something that is called "SAMSUNG USB Driver for Mobile Phones" is installed, if not, then chances are you need that. If it is installed, then see if you can get your hands on another cable, could just be a faulty cable.

With the latest versions of Android, USB Mass Storage has been disabled. You might want to try the USSD code *#7284# as described here:
http://blog.vacs.fr/index.php?post/2010/12/24/How-to-repair-the-USB-not-detected-problem-on-Android-Samsung-phones
i know that mass storage is disabled. My pc don't even detect my galaxy s4 i tried to install new drivers and i get the device setup loading and stuck at that :S

Press key windows + R and write devmgmt.msc and press ENTER. Take a look if in some USB driver you have a yellow triangle :fingers-crossed:

Galaxy S5 wont show up as disk drive on Mac

I have the Developers Edition that i'm rooted on stock rom currently. When using the Samsung provided USB cable I'm not able to pull it up as a hard drive to access both sd cards. I never had this issue with Motorola or HTC they always showed up automatically. I have USB debugging checked as well as Kies3 uninstalled and then I reinstalled Android File Transfer then rebooted Mac. All that shows up is Verizon Mobile for about 30 seconds then nothing. Media options are MTP and PTP camera but Media Device USB greyed out. Android File Transfer does pop up but it wont let me manage device. I'm talking to Samsung live chat at the moment i'm posting this topic. Any ideas anyone?
UPDATE: FIXED used official kies uninstaller then reinstalled AFT and phone shows up as media drive.
