Hello
I'm looking for a ROM with Camera2 API support, do you know of one?
I've seen our device is somewhat capable of using it
So, I'm looking for one that actually supports it.
Thanks
Stock as far as I know only.

You are posting this in the wrong forum.you would get a faster answer by posting your question in the build's thread itself. But, since i use the same build as you,i can provide you with what i know. USB host is already available on WM for HD2. (http://www.redmondpie.com/how-to-use-htc-hd2-as-a-usb-host-device-tutorial/). For now, it has its limitations, such as only being to use mass storage(but thats already a awesome feature). For Android however, it can be done (http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/usb/host.html) but since Android on HD2 is not native, the devs will have to sort it out. Developing the kernel, the framework and the app would be possible as the means and knowledge of doing so is there. But the problem is developing the driver. I would not say its impossible, but it would take more time and definitely more time for it to be cooked into Typhoon or any other build. But, if you really want it, you can try it out for WM for now
About the possibility of using UsbHost in WM, I know, but it is interested in Android, there are specific applications I'd like to use ... In some assemblies Android it works, but too heavy from too much flash for Sense 3.0. PS: In the volume of the firmware I can't post messages because, I have low-karma (
Do you guys (and gals) think that LG will release the laser auto focus apk so that ROM developers can include the feature into all the roms they want? Or do you think LG will hoard the laser auto focus feature and not allow anyone else to enjoy the bliss that is Lazer Auto!?
Im asking in terms of the future. Will they? Has LG ever released apks of features to allow others to enjoy them? (im inexperienced in this realm so sorry if my language is off)
Laser focus work. The problem in aosp camera is that a big part of the quality depends on the lg framework and drivers, which are closed source and they're not going to release.

No, there's no way to get RAW on the Note4.Samsung seem to have disabled it in Lollipop.
Nope
I was desperately awaiting this and am still seething over its omission.... Why Sammy, why!? Camera2 API's are a huge benefit in LP and would help on this camera and great for people who want/need pro/manual modes.. Just don't understand
But there is nothing we can do.. It's on the firmware level to get/allow access to hardware.. Unless they change their mind mind on 5.1 or some future Android release, it's not coming

OK The answer was more than clear but still need to ask this: there is absolutely no way even with rooting to manage to install Camera2 API to shoot raw format? And any clues whether and when this would be available as an update from Samsung?
Btw since the lollipop Update my brand new device shows lagging and speed reduction. Is this a common thing after the lollipop update for Note 4? Is there anything I can do to make it as fast as before the update? I didn t change anything since I bught the device almost a month ago and the speed / performance change took place immediately after the update. Thanks for ur answers in advance
Hi
I have a weird question...
Is it possible to port (?) an Android Wear ROM to android smartphone? I mean, I have an old X8 which is nothing but catching dust on the shelf. I thought about I can use it as a smartwatch (it is small enough ). But as it is on normal cyanogenmod, it cannot be like watch. So as I wrote above, is it possible to flash such a rom on normal android smartphone?
Sorry for asking stupid questions and thanks for any replies
Excellent idea.
+1
Bump
Any answers? Please
I'm sure it's possible because Android Wear is still Android at the core, would probably require a lot of work, rewriting the kernel, getting drivers to work, etc. and AFAIK there is no source code for the OS, only the kernel, so that would make it even more challenging.
Now that is the info I wanted
Thanks @DarkRazorZ
Theoretically, couldn't you use the Wear launcher with an app that intercepts your phone's notifications?
Theoretically yes, but in practice it is not as good as whole rom. I used that launcher when it was as preview and it wasn't good but it wasn't bad either. I just wanted to know if porting (or building?) similar rom for very small phones is possible
I think everything is possible, but keep the original ROM
so after searching the new face unlock feature on the OnePlus 5t it seems that is using the front camera and since there is no hardware change in the camera from op5 to op5t which (along with same cpu, ram, gpu) should theoretically mean the op5 and even the 3t could have this feature implemented in software
do anybody know if this is possible or is there some hardware part in the 5t that allows it to have the feature?
technically it will be possible
but i doubt oneplus will make it possible
this is some part of marketing, the new device needs to have something which is improved from the old one
If OnePlus don't do it, some XDA dev will.

i'd like to see it implemented in the xXx no limits rom ! does anyone have a contact with the dev ?
It's on op5's closed beta, so I think it'll also be there on open beta and stable ?
