I may be wrong but AFAIK, there is no way to enable safe mode in MIUI, not even in Settings.

If on a custom ROM, hold power button to get the "power off" option and once you see the power off option, long press on it to see a "reboot to safe mode option"

oh no, you're right. Even in KitKat there's no reboot option, and now there's no more silent mode too, it's moved to "interrupt" and priorities....

Really? When I said a reboot menu, I mean just the possibility to simply reboot. I really got 0 option now.
And for the priorities, I don't understand how it work...

mmmm you could install Quick Reboot or something similar, or you could use reboot option in Titanium Backup menu...
For the priorities, press volume down and the first option from left is "mute" (but no allarms too!!), hold volume down and you're in vibration mode... I don't know nothing more, for example how middle option of priority works....
There never has been a Reboot option in stock Android.
Hi my nexus 4 has this problem, the camera does not connect but sometimes connects and works for a few minutes or only once when used.
Normal it worked before but switch to CM13 and install some device drivers soon I started to give this issue
Return to the ROM Chroma and was the same with any camera
I returned to the stock 5.1.1 but still the same
¿Could you help me?
I would suggest see what happens after you run your device in the safe mode. If your camera works well in the safe mode then your drivers/apps are at a fault and all it needs is a factory restore. If not, something is definitely wrong with it. Steps to access the safe mod:
Press & hold the Power button.
In the box that opens, touch & hold Power off.
You'll see a “Reboot to safe mode” box. Tap OK.
Your device will start in safe mode. You'll see the words "Safe mode" in a box at the bottom.

Do you have root access? If yes then download this app to boot in safe mode.

Have you tried to disable developer options?
By the way this is the method of booting in safe mode. http://consumer.huawei.com/ca/support/products/faqs/detail/y6-ca.htm?id=55398
Safe mode does not need root .
To boot into safe mode :
1. Turn your phone off
2. Press power button until it vibrates
Then quickly press and hold volume down key and keep holding until the phone start up completely .. there will be a safe mode label at the screen
To close it just restart
******
Any way I thought that u couldn't turn off developer options, But in your case , you've said it didn't help so it's a problem with the rom , I guess.

No need to use capitals.
There is no screen shot attached.
You've provided about 10% of the information required to give any help to you.
What model phone do you have? Global / EU?
Are you rooted?
Any mods?
did you set up gpay with a card
power menu
To give my supplement to the OP: the power menu shows only 3 picto's on top: recovery, bootloader and emergency. And the 3 dots with lockdown, on/of and screenshot as options.
I've OOS 11.ini11BA, model IN2023
Is this normal? Android 11 should have more options to show on the powermenu.

Do you use any debloat things? Maybe it's because you don't have that app installed?
Under the 3 buttons I see some elements from Google Home, to adjust my room temperatures.

Have you enabled those options? Buttons & gestures / press and hold power button / power menu, press the words "power menu" and those options are in the sub menu.
