Who else ordered a VZW phone from best buy? either on contract, monthly, or full price?
I did full price and the site said it will be delivered on 3/11/16, release date. i had two CSR reps confirm this via both live chat, and email.
then, some reddit users are saying their reps saying it may not even ship UNTIL the 11th, meaning we may not get it until 5-7 days AFTER release date! this is absolutely ridiculous, so when I emailed back, they stated that yeah, it could either be there the 11th, or later. wtf? come on best buy. i've never pre-ordered from them before, but every other store gets you pre-orders ON release date.
i was going to do in store pickup instead of shipping, but apparently in store pickups aren't even guaranteed when you do a pre-order! you could get there and the s7 might not even be in stock!
man, i have elite status through best buy rewards too, so you'd think i'd get SOME kind of preferential treatment! hmm.

I ordered full price. Ordered the first 7 minutes site went live on Feb 23. Curious if anyone else's preorder has changed status now that tmo, Sprint and att have shipped or are shipping.

Same here. Pre ordered on Feb 27th.
My credit card showed an authorization amount for my purchase for several days but Best Buy let it expire without billing. My order status still shows "awaiting authorization" as well. (I ordered on release day)

best buy is calling people to pickup in store orders tomorrow..so they better ship it tomorrow!

so, i just talked to a rep on CS. he told me at first that i should have it by the 11th, then said, hold on, and checked into my status saying that it was requested to ship today, the 6th. he then said to just keep an eye out on the account to see if it ships.
oh and i just checked, the free SD card is updated to preparing for shipment, but the rest are still as pre ordered. he said they all have hte same status on his end though, so he thinks the site is just still updating. cool.

Hadn't planned on dumping my Turbo yet, but the free Gear S2 was too good to pass up.
My confirmation says it will be shipped on or before 3/11.
I will go vr. I have a zenwatch I love.

What i dont get is verzion told me i could not get the S2 because i had unlimited data. Only thing is it gives me the option to select a s2 on the Samsung promo page. If i pick it will they sent it even if i have unlimited. Is it even useful without a data plan. Should i just get the vr. Help

the watches are useful without a plan.. i use a moto 360 2nd Gen daily and i love it. no need for a plan for it. the gear vr seems cool tho, but it's only 100 bucks, so if anything, get the watch if you're interested in smart watches. tizen isn't so bad. I had the gear 2 before this and it was a sweet watch

I got two coming tomorrow according to ups, one I'll get a gear s2 for wifey, and vr for me, I use. 360 2nd gen 46mm daily, couldn't replace it with a gear watch again.
I'll bet most aren't going to get a S2, there's only 35,000 available. Far less than the VR

Ordered the S2, because I've wanted a watch. Got an "almost done" email. I'm not sure why, resubmitted via the link they gave me in the email. Now I'm registered for the VR. I have no interest in it. Used the contact us option and haven't heard back from them.
Planning on getting the S2. I currently have a Bluetooth S2. I chatted with the Verizon rep and they told me the free S2 was a cellular version and required a contract for the $5 a month data plan. can anyone confirm this?

Mine also says April 1st, but I picked the Gear S2.
I haven't gotten an email yet, but I checked my submission status, and it says approved, preparing for shipment. I went with the watch. Not keeping it, figured around $300 extra would be nice I used my trade-in money for the VR.

Yeah I got my email last night saying mine would ship on April 18th... but then to claim my 6 free games I need to set up my Oculus account my midnight on April 20th. So how is that even possible?? Can I set up the Oculus account early without the VR unit so that I can claim my free stuff?

I did notice at the bottom of the disclaimer about signing up for the game pack it says something. Here is a copy:
"Please make sure to create an Oculus account and download your
6 games before 11:59:59pm PT on 4/20/16 when the download expires,
or within 30 days of receiving your Eligible Product, whichever is later."
So at the end you see it says, at least in my email copy, on "4/20/16 when the download expires, or within 30 days of receiving your eligible product, whichever is later." Which I would take to assume that we're covered if we receive the Gear VR after the 20th, as long as we activate the free games within 30 days of receiving it.

No idea how I missed that. I feel dumb. Yeah mine says the same thing.
Well, this almost sent me over the edge. Trying to call the fulfillment company now to see if this can be straightened out. I ordered it online at full price from a consumer account, not a business one. Weird.
"Congratulations! Your submission has been approved; however because the
purchase receipt you uploaded denotes an in-store and/or online business

If you received the email about being ineligible for the Gear s2, you should still be good. Just got off the phone with customer support (50 minute wait) and they said a mass e-mail erroneously went out stating users were getting the opposite of what they selected. He verified my order was for the Gear S2. I would call just to be safe, but you should be good. He said I was his 35th case for the same issue.

I'll have to call customer support in the morning. Their open hours didn't mesh well with Hawaiian time.
You have to call prize logic at (888) 795-6442. They manage the promotion.
FYI, when I called, they guessed what it was about. The emails about getting a VR instead of S2 were errors. I was told that my S2 was being prepped for shipment April 1st.
I checked the status of mine at the link in Samsung's email and put in my email address. I submitted my first claim for my first new line on the 16th. I'm approved but don't have a ship date. I submitted my second claim for my second line very early this morning and that's approved also, and no ship date. My second claim was for the $100 towards Samsung products on their website they are offering at this point because they aren't going to be able to ship the VRs until the summer of this year for people registering late. I think it's crappy of them to offer $100 instead of $150 which was the value of the bundle, but I could use a wireless charger and/or a quick charge battery pack.

Yes; I got a similar email stating I was ineligible for the Gear S2 because my recipt was for a Store purchased S7.
I immediately responded back vi the web page & told them that was incorrect & that the receipt was printed from Verizon on-line for an on-line purchase.
Another response was received stating that they had escalated my complaint. I am now waiting for more response from them.
I'm thinking that this has happened to a lot of people & hope they take care of it quickly.

When I preordered by Samsung S8, I was told by ATT salesperson that I could get the VR for free and for $99, I could get 256G SD and Headphones. He also said that I had to wait for my phone to come in the mail before I could submit the request. So I received my phone on the 21st and tried to purchase the headphones and SD cards on the 21st. Here is what I got from Samsung Customer Support:
"The premium "Fully Immersive" bundle that included the AKG headphones and MicroSD card for an extra $99, has SOLD OUT and is no longer available for selection in the promo site. Due to high interest, we have sold out of the $99 fully immersive VR experience. "
How could they be sold out within hours of the first day?!?! Is this a classic bait switch? This was one of the primary reasons I pre-order the S8. This seems very wrong to me.
You were misinformed. The $99 'Fully Immersive' bundle was available for those that did the pre-order between 3/30 - 4/20. Heck the 'free' items (VR + controller) was also only supposed to be available to those that pre-ordered it. Not those that purchased it on day it came out. Very sorry.
BTW, there are at least 5 other threads covering this very same thing. I mistakenly started one of my own.
Edit: Disregard my ramblings - you DID preorder. I received my phone on the 19th, and that same day I did the order of the $99 bundle. I didn't get to pay anything until the 21st however. I did preorder it between 3/30 and 4/20!!
Usually I'm quick to pre order but this time was a bit too late to the game, tried to order the 128gb variant on the Samsung UK store, but didn't work. Shows 21st of March as the earliest delivery date and then when you add to basket, it removes it saying there's no stock even though the first page shows there is.
How has everyone else's experience been in the UK, where did your preorder from and when do you expect yours to be delivered?

The discount is what made me order, been saying to the wife I wasn't upgrading. Didn't need to from my S10+ 512GB.
Then found an old email with the discount code and it was ordered... Discount code expired 15/02 so it was fate....

Well worth it for that price. I've currently got the Galaxy Fold, so not sure if I'll enjoy the S20 Ultra more or not.
Anyways just managed to preorder from Curry's, I've never used Curry's to Preorder before so not sure what they're like. Got an email saying I'll get the phone on the 28th of February, which is clearly rubbish on their part.

They will be coming direct from Samsung, I know from previous S10 order from them. So be interesting to see if we get them early like some other direct orders have been doing in US. Be nice to have it Friday for weekend.

EE advised me that the 13th is the official launch for them, not sure if that's nationwide but I'd imagine so judging by what the CS for EE reacted like when I said people have already got the device.

i had only called to ask if it would be much difference in price between the 128gb and the 512gb i told them i would have a think and call back later that day but when i did they said they would have to cancel everything and start over so i told them i will stick with the 128gb
found a week out later they just cancelled everything with this alleged fraud crap ? i replaced the order on 19th feb all good so far
got a text today saying 2 week delay so called them today to be basically told its Because i ordered on 19th wtaf?
the first agent i spoke too didn't even mention the attempt fraud just said they had no reason it was cancelled and basically suck it up its delayed from the order on 19th your in a second batch ? not happy with this i went back to customer complaints to be then told all about the suspected fraud that the first agent neglected to even tell me about even though i wasted 35 minutes trying to get an answer why i got my order cancelled in the first place?
the last agent informed me of what had gone on and then went on to say Samsung have delayed the 512gb in the uk or have limited numbers for the uk of the 512gb so its the 128gb or nothing for the Ultra at the minute and EVERYONE who pre ordered from Vodafone are getting this 2 week delay from release date of 13th ??
