Best deal ever from Verizon?

We bought our S7 on 3/18/16 from local Verizon store, buy 1 get one free deal, then they gave us two brand new Gear S2 3G smartwatch (Retail for $350 ea) for free, they both came with separate phone#, just need to pay $5 a month per 3G smartwatch service, they're on the same 16GB XL share plan we got. and also told me to fill out the Samsung form to claim our two free VR (promotion valid till 3/18), which I did but instead of getting the VR, Samsung gave us the option to get $100 credit per S7, so we went with $100 x2 total of credits so we can use it to buy something else from Samsung stores. Verizon also paid us bonus of $100 credit per phone to our bill for switching from ATT, then they would pay for all the remaining note 4 installment balance ($460 x2) from ATT LOL So yea we've got a load of stuff to switch from ATT to Verizon, best deal evar or what?! On top of that, now our cell signals, calls quality, and messaging speed got a big bump in our neighborhood.

That's a great deal. Wish i waited for the bogo.

Alas, we were already Verizon customers. We did get the 'buy one, get one free' bonus, but we bought them on 3/23/2016. Salesman told us we were too late for ANY of the other bonuses. Hell, they wouldn't even give us freaking screen protectors! No account credit, no anything... I upgraded from the note 4, and my brother updated from the S6.

The store manager told us the BOGO deal begin on 3/18, which is the same day we went to the store, it's also the last day of the free VR and other promotions, we happened to get locked in on a combination of multiple promotions on that date. My wife didn't care for the Gear S2 3G smartwatch which she said too big and heavy, she prefer to wear her traditional tiny Casio watch to match her wedding ring. Now I have an extra watch that I haven't even open or activate, still unsure if I should sell the spare one or not.

Sounds like that salesman might've got you on the Gear S2 deal. Since you're paying $5/mo. for that service, you may not want to sell it because it must remain activated I believe in order to be a free deal. VZW may charge the residual of the device. Return it to store and see what he says.
If there's any left, do you promo on Samsung's website for VR or S2, no 3g plan needed.

I got the S7 for $100 and a two year contract thru Best Buy for Verizon. I also got the wireless charger, which I luv, at no charge. They will charge me $40 on my next bill for changing phones. Moved up from the Core Prime. What gripes me about the S7 is that some of the apps that moved from the Prime can't be moved to SD. I installed VUDU from Play and it can't be moved.
Isn't there a way to install apps directly to the SD card?

Those who went Note7 > S7, get a Gear S3 for $49

AT&T has a promo running where you can pre-order a Gear S3 for $49 when purchased with a Samsung phone. I went from Note7 to S7 Edge on October 16th. I had already pre-ordered the Gear S3 at $249 but thought what the hell, why not call AT&T to see if they'd throw me a bone. The CSR asked me for my AT&T store receipt number from the exchange and got a supervisors approval to give me the $49 price. They had me cancel my online pre-order and put notes in my account for me to go in to a store today and get a new pre-order processed at $49. I did and they did and its supposed to ship November 18th.
The whole Note7 launch and cancel has been a debacle but I've been handsomely rewarded. I got a 256GB SD card with my first Note7, a Gear VR with the second, and now a Gear S3 for $49. That's on top of almost $100 in Samsung Pay first use credits for initializing it on 3 different phones. I also got my $100 credit for sticking with Samsung last week on my AT&T bill.
I'd imagine the Gear S3 thing is a YMMV and I'd suggest charm and gaining sympathy for what, as a Note7 owner, you've been through rather than brute force. Good luck.

Great deal! I got the Gear S2 on special when I got the Note 7. I doubt they'd upgrade me from S2 to the S3.

How the heck did you get all this deals? I can't even can get $25 for first exchange. When I try to get my $25 and I call AT&T what they did is transfer me form department to departament and at the end of the day after spending over 2 hours I get no where. Do I call wrong phone numbers?

The first one, a Gear Fit or 256GB SD card, everyone who pre-ordered a Note7 should have gotten (I chose the SD card). The second one, "buy a Samsung phone get a SD card or Gear VR," was meant for the S7's because Note7's weren't being sold to new customers until the 1.5M exchanges were processed. I exchanged my first Note7 for my second on day one of the exchange program and just sent the exchange receipt as proof of purchase for the promo. They accepted it but I heard from those filing later they stopped. All the Samsung Pay stuff anyone can get because Samsung doesn't really check whether the account is new or the phone is. So three new phones, three sets of Samsung Pay offers. The Gear S3 was just luck of the draw. I got a really nice CSR and she felt sorry for me having to go through three phones to end up with one I wouldn't have chosen (S7 Edge). So short answer is luck and timing.
P.S. - I got my first Note7 for $290 outright because AT&T f-d up a cross-line Next upgrade and couldn't figure out how to fix it. They told me to pay off my balance on my Next-returned and in their hands Note5 ($290) and just keep the Note7 and they cancelled its installment plan. As part of trying to fix the upgrade they bungled they inadvertently gave me two monthly installment credits I owed totaling about $85. Then I got a refund of about $90 to my account when I exchanged for a S7 Edge because it was cheaper. Then Samsung gave me $100 via AT&T for staying in the family. So net net I got a S7 Edge outright for $15 on top of all the free and discounted "stuff." All in all I did OK.

Sprint Pre-order Waiting and Shipping Room

I didn't see one for Sprint so I figured I would start one. I ordered directly from Sprint. Got the black S8+. I was debating ordering from them or Best Buy but went for Sprint. Hoping I get it before April 21st.

I ordered a black s8 yesterday from sprint telesales. I'm on the galaxy forever from sprint and apparently over the phone was the only way of processing my order because the system in store and online was trying to charge me the rest of the contract on my s7.

I was having the same exact thing! After multiple hours on the phone, online and in the store. Finally was elevated to retention department and they were able to fix the problem (I think they simply voided the lease). So frustrating since my wife's had no problem upgrading. Glad to hear (although unfortunate) that I wasn't the only one having this problem.

IS there not that many Sprint people around? Am I with the wrong carrier?

I'm around and getting ready to do the same thing (upgrade to the S8)

Spent 14hrs because of the whole note 7. Because I currently still have a note 7 I bought from samsung sprint was trying to get it off me

No samsung bought it for 1000 to get it off the market so I'm sending it back and paying off my s8+ that way I can upgrade to the note 8

Because I signed up to return it and never did. So they contacted me and offered me more. And sprint contacted them when I tried to upgrade to s8+ and my meid number didn't match my original note 7 so sprint couldn't do anything

I am selling my Pixel XL (128mb) when this comes in. WELL - I'll live with it a little bit and make the decision.
The Pixel XL is honestly really great. Just boring.
And I am excited to get to a "truly one handed" phone with a large screen (if infact the S8 can be that for me).
Does Sprint have any history of delivering early or anything?

I'm with T-mobile, but over the weekend a Sprint rep tagged me down while I was walking by, he was arguing with me that 256GB micro SD card doesn't exist, because they were offering 128GB micro SD card lol

I pre-ordered in black, online at 1 am on the 30th. Hoping they ship early, but being on sprint and with a Samsung phone I doubt it.

Just wanted to share some of the information I put together while putting in two pre-orders for S8's today at a Best Buy Mobile store.
First off, I was informed by the Assistant Manager that helped me at Best Buy Mobile that the $50 "gift card" for the S8 and $100 "gift card" for the S8+ would lower the amount of the installments over the period of the 24 month installment plan (I assume the same for the lease option too).
For instance, if I go with the 24 month installments on the S8 ($50 deal), I would get $2.08 off for 24 months bringing the monthly price down from $31.25 to $29.17. If I got the S8+ ($100 deal), I would get $4.16 off for 24 months bringing the monthly price down from $35.42 to $31.26.
Now based on what I have read on other forums I am still left wondering if I am actually getting a gift card for the phone or if it will be applied like mentioned above.
In addition I called Sprint to ask about the special offer "Get a $10/mo. loyalty credit on lease or installment billing when you stay on your current plan." that shows on my account. I was informed that I would not be eligible to receive this credit if I got the phone from Best Buy and the only way would be to order it through Sprint or through "telesales". I feel like the person was lying to me and just trying to get a sale.
The Assistant Manager at Best Buy Mobile checked with her local rep who told her that I would get the $10 loyalty credit and that it doesn't matter where the phone comes from; if your plan is eligible the credit will hit your account within a few billing cycles. I asked about the waived $30 upgrade fee that Sprint is offering. The rep said I would not get that (which I'm OK with if everything else checks out).
Anyway, if all this works like I have been told by Best Buy, my two S8's I ordered will be $19.17 a month and if I would have got an S8+ it would come to $21.26 a month.
The question is what is true and what is not true?

Preordered from sprint.com the first day it was available. Getting a $10 a month loyalty credit, or $240 off over 2 years.
Moving from a S4.

I ordered mine from Sprint today. I normally would have used Best buy but they don't offer Galaxy forever.
I had the same problems ordering as others here. They tried to charge me for the rest of my lease from my S7.
Once I called they cancelled the rest of my lease to fix the problem.
At this point it seems Sprint has the best pre-order deal.

Sadly I did too but paid full retail and there is no discount, only if you finance it you get discount. I cancelled and ordered direct from samsung to get it a day earlier and get the VR that day too BB delivery is 21st and Sammy is the 20th. Wont have to mess with submitting the receipt and waiting for the VR separate too this way.

Just got back from Best Buy and got my order in for the S8+ in black. No money out of pocket right now but as soon as I receive email to pick up the phone they will also send me the coupon for the 100 off and links to claim the VR and 256g memory card. Plan on paying in full then. (couldnt believe they would not accept any payment today??) Hope all this goes well and surprising how this new S8+ is looking to cost less out the door than I remember my S7E costing.

Me I just want the phone, the akg headphones, and the 256gb sdcard cause my s7a is acting like a windows 98 computer aka being extremely slow cause of the android 7 update. And cause the headphones I think are noise canceling headphones. And cause I kept filling up my 64gb sdcard. I don't really care about the vr or the controller for vr cause I'm waiting for the Microsoft hollowlense headset that's coming out holiday season this year for pc and xbox that and I only used my vr that I got with my original s7e all of 5 times in the first 2 months of owning it then it just sat on my floor collecting dust. If it wasn't for my s7a being extremely slow I wouldn't be upgrading right now. I personally originally wanted to wait for the note 8 but that's not happening now. Now I'm just going to wait for the note 10 in 2019 after I get my s8+ this year. Now I really can't wait till I get my s8+ cause I'm going to get the 256gb sd, akg headphones, and the vr bundle aka the Samsung Immersive VR Experience Box.

Delivery a day sooner,(20th) and get vr same day instead of mail in. Plus can finance with paypal instead of "leasing" or carrier financing that way you can unlock it for straight talk, cricket etc. Cricket unlimited is 55$ for unlimited lte and 2 year paypal finance is 24$ a month. Way better than paying carrier over 100 for their gimmicky plans or 3mbps speed limit. Cricket is att towers btw and the device does NOT need to be network unlocked to use a cricket sim card.

Any of you guy aware about claiming the Gear VR from Samsung? ATT guy told me that I should to Samsung site to claim the GearVR. However the Samsung sites says to come back after getting the phone.

I don't see why they would remove the headphones cause if they did that then bby wouldn't be able to offer that package then either cause almost every bby has a att experience center in it now. Besides the headphones are part of a specific vr bundle aka the samsung immersive vr experience bundle box. They can't not offer the headphones and still offer the 256gb sd card cause both things are included in the box you get with the samsung immersive vr experience box. Basically if you pre-order the s8 or s8+ and choose the samsung immersive vr experience box bundle you are saving $1,380-$1,480 cause that's how much it would be to piece all of it together including buying either the s8 or s8+ out-right and your getting it all for only $100 plus whatever you have to pay in installments. Personally I would rather have to only pay $100 plus my installment payments and not have to pay $1,580

I was referring to basic wired ones not part of promo. Usually Samsung includes a pair with most phones, but AT&T is too cheap and removes them along with changing box

I hate that AT&T changes the nice looking black box to their fugly one, the other carriers leave the box alone why AT&T, WHY?!

Preordered 128gb Note 20 Ultra and Galaxy Watch 3 direct from Samsung (educational discount) a few minutes after preorders opened up. Shows right now shipping on the 19th with estimated delivery of the 21st. This is the first time I haven't ordered through T-Mobile (RIP JOD).

With last years note samsung shipped out a few days before T-Mobile. My biggest reason for going direct to Samsung though is that I wanted the Galaxy Watch 3 and didn't want to wait for the phone to arrive before ordering the Watch 3 with the $200 discount.

yeah blah blah blah me too - ordered on day one like all of us impatient blokes and should ship on the 19th here in the US through fedex. the note 10+ shipped right along schedule as it was anticipated last year so hopefully the shutdown won't cause any MAJOR delay in shipping...

Pre ordered my 512Gb black as soon as it was possible. Got a military discount of $108.75, not much but better than nothing. Didn't do a trade in, just paid for it all. About the 4th or 5th one I've ordered direct from Sammy, the others I ordered the T-Mobile variant but I got the unlocked one this time. Less bloat to get rid of and from what I've read it will have wifi calling and volte, only thing missing is video calling and I always disable it via adb anyway. Hopefully will ship before the 19th, don't know but fingers crossed.

128 bronze through TMobile. I have the galaxy buds plus. Thinking about the live. They seem more comfortable I guess. Also does anyone know if you can use an Xbox controller on the note for gamepass? Probably a silly question since you can use it on iOS for apple arcade.

I ordered Verizon Note 20 Ultra 128 GB Mystic White and used my credit on the White Bud lives. Phone and buds have a ship date of Aug 19 but my email states phone will arrive on Aug 21 and buds on Aug 24.. Not sure why that is when both items are on the same invoice and I ordered the day before pre-order opened because of my reservation

Same boat as alphamega. Ordered the verizon N20U, 128gb, bronze, through samsung the day before official release. Shop App says everything is shipping by the 19th, but online it says the phone gets here on the 21st, and the case and buds/uv/charger get here on the 24th. Who knows, I'd guess it'll all change by the time things start moving from warehouses.

Ordered 128gb white with buds live and a case. I wanted to wait to see the watch 3 review before ordering, I will trade in my gear s3 to get $100 off.

This is the first time I also order through Samsung. The JOD plan was asking too much as a down. I did it for the Note 10+ but no way I'm going to do a $550 down payment on it. Like some have said, hopefully we don't see any shipping delays.

Unfortunately, jod does ask for large down payments for new devices. I guess that's what happens the more expensive these things get

I ordered bronze 128gb with the galaxy buds. Would have ordered different accessories, but it looked like it was charging an extra $50 for them. Got an email later saying they would credit me the $50 but it’s too late to change the order now. Bought from Sammy nearly every year. Note 7 I think shipped a week early. Wish that was the case this time around. Using my daughter’s crappy old iPhone since my son lost his phone a couple of weeks ago. Kids...

I have a friend who has been working there for a while and they feel it's a way to get people off the plans as they can just increase the monthly payment for it. The program was not really sustainable but it was a way to bring customers in. At one point, they had told their reps not to offer the JOD plans unless the customers asked for it. But I knew from the beginning it wasn't going to last.
