test install l31 b382 - Huawei P9 Lite Questions & Answers

Hello
Do you think it's okay?
I'm l31c432b160
I installed l31c440b382 update.zip http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G753/g104/v87647/f2/full/update.zip + datafull c432b370. FULL-OTA-MF-PV
reboot
Twrp 3.1.1.0, install b380 http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...1/full/VNS-L31_hw_eu/update_VNS-L31_hw_eu.zip OTA-MF
reboot.
Removes twitter because there is a patch in b382 it bug, we reinstall it after with play store.
Install http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...2/full/VNS-L31_hw_eu/update_VNS-L31_hw_eu.zip OTA-MF
reboot.
Reinstalls twitter, goes to phone settings l31c432b382.
If there is a problem twrp install datafull c432b370, reboot goes to update ota, it offers b380.
So in the end I have c440b382 complete system file + new optimizations
In b382 goes to update system, parametre, there is in addition (update at night).

I don't know exactly, what you want to do and please remove picture with IMEI numbers.

VNS-L31 B383 and B382 are coming very soon because they are in firmware finder. B385 and B384 are the next updates, because they are in firmware finder too.

yea, but every update got 2 versions without file difference.

Hello
It is a shame that the device only takes the update by dload card sd.
Do you think that if we change apk hwouc
Ex: P10, could our device do this?

Awesome..!! This is just like the B190 OTA update for Honor 7.
So they are updating the Lollipop version for their devices too, this is the first approach like this I have seen.
This is an update improving mm is passed from the B560, B571 this new update

Damn, any word on when h6 gets this?
I'm on the PE-TL10C432B560 but when I tried to update it gave me "FAILED TO UPGRADE" and I was forced to restart my H6+.
Did you get the same error?
I placed my update.app in a dload folder, inside my External SD Card.
Thanks in advance

Have you stock boot and recovery partitions? No root?
If you have, you must remove Supersu (select full unroot), flash stock partitions and then do the update.
If you don't have root, consider first and foremost a backup with Huawei Backup. Then download the zip file from here and follow the instructions.

Thanks a lot mate!
With the link you provided I was able to successfully upgrade my H6+
Anyway I'm still official, no root, no unlocked bootloader.... strange considering that I lost my MotoG1 warranty after a week
Thanks again
I have downloaded the zip (didn't extract it) and i have created /dload file in internal memory and put that zip inside it, then i have open updater and select that zip and my 6+ enter in installing mode, but it stuck at 99% and it doesn't continue, someone knows whats wrong with it ?
You should have extracted it.
Extract the zip file unitl you have an update.app and put this into your dload folder. Then try updating again with force update method. If this doesn´t work

First I would try to get an update file that I could check its integrity either by MD5 or other form of verification. That would ruled out corrupted file cause.
Second, I would backup all my important things with native Huawei backup app into SD or PC. The I would perform a factory reset and setup just the Google account and Huawei ID if your ROM has one. Also setup HiCare app. Make sure all are updated. Then try to check update and if it works, great, if it doesn´t then try force update.
Only after update I would restore backup.
May I please ask what are the changes in this update? I am a huawei honor 6 plus user.
Thank you in advance for your response!
Does this work on PE-TL10C185B561 ?
As i worked on the steps but it stops at 5% although there is enough free space & battery charge

Hi

Honor India - RAM Management and VoLTE bug fix update (B370)

Honor India released an update today for its KIW-L22 - B370.
Link - http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G79/g0/v67983/f1/full/update.zip
This update consists of
1. VoLTE bug fixes
2. RAM Management improvements.
3. Android Security Patches
How to update?
Prerequisites: You should be in the B360 in order to update this one.
Note: B360 was causing the bootloop for custom ROM. Since this is built over that this might also cause Bootloop.
So have a TWRP backup before updating to this one too.
This update can be flashed via TWRP. Forced update won't work.
You can update by following steps by @gopinaidu77 here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/how-to/guide-force-installing-stock-ota-t3502874
But you need to be Rooted for it.
i havent got any update, checked right now..
anyway i downloaded the zip given, i dont understand y is that a flashable zip? it contains several patches and an update.app file..
is it twrp flashable too??
and even after updating, my build number is still b360

I have tried with update.zip earlier in my Honor 7. So Update.zip works as per my knowledge.
However I'm not sure, as I have not tried it for this one Since I don't have KIW-L22.
I have KIW-L23 which is stuck at EMUI 3.

Update from B161 to Nougat - Once again

Hi Guys.
Maybe somebody can help here:
I am on B161 and get the OTA Update for B371 - but only the 2.5GB version! And with this update, bluetooth and many more things don't work.
What can I do to Upgrade to nougat? Which Version should I use? How to upgrade correctly?
I don't get the full B371 Upgrade option in the system. And when i Install the B371 Image from Firmware Finder (VNS-L31C432B371 FullOTA-MF-PV) its not working either...
PLEASE help, Nougat has a much better Ram Usage und battery life then MM on my P9 Lite 2GB Variant.....
Thanks!
Better wait.
Nougat has battery drain.

I was on B371 before but had the issue with bluetooth not working etc. Then i did the rollback package and afterwards went back to B161 - so i suppose its not really stock?
I'm just thinking - now i am on B161 and B371 Update is visible for me - but only the 2.5GB variant - and i don't want to update and have the same issues and again do the rollback and loose all my data?
Also i don't really now what it means exactly to be on "Stock" rom - because i think B161 is the actual Stock rom for now?
EDIT: Also i See i have the Firmware VNS-L31 but my Model is actually VNS-L21 so thats weird too.

First of all you have to bring your phone on stock condition (VNS-L21C432B131).
After that you have to apply a B161 official update.
And from there, with Firmware Finder you go to B371.

Now when I try to Install the B131 Package with dload method it says the firmware doesnt fit. The build is not correct for this device
EDIT: i try now to install it via Firmware Finder, lets see if theres better luck with that - Or should I ? The update has only 1,5GB - that confuses me Allthough i selected the FULL OTA

Man I tried Tried to do the upgrade via dload method - doesnt work. I tried to install B131 via Firmware Finder - didnt work he cant do it - while verifying the update package switches a few times from 0 to 1 % and after some times he says the package is corrupt.
Can I go just higher than B371 to get everything working again?
Or flash back to B131 with some TWRP or something like that?
Or maybe try to flash the B371 with firmware finder again? That version where it says FullOTA-MF-PV (whatever PV means)
If i was you, i do following:

Hello
it's easy to understand.
huawei needs the recovery stock to install.
so, just delete twrp.
To do it just with adb and fastboot, flash recovery.img of your version.
** control / fastboot flash recovery RECOVERY.img
now, download your ota update.
he will install it.
or you can find recovery stock, In the update.app (open with huawei extrator), recover the file you wanted.

I said my last words with you.
I still have a solution.
I will put the firmware vns-l31c432b394 the latest on my google drive.
Like, you could install twrp and the root.
I suppose you knew how to return to MM (c432b160). ok for you.
so,
since, vns-l31c432b160, bootloader code, install twrp for MM, went to wipe, check all except SD card and wipe to wipe. back, back, go to install, install update.zip and install the data full l31.zip.
reboot.
There you go.
problem will be a little longt, it takes time to send it in google-drive.
he tells me 8am so tomorrow I give you the google-drive link.

[Solved] Firmware reinstall by dload method

Hey guys, I've somehow managed to brick my device while I was half asleep. Now I've installed just the UPDATED.app by using the dload method, this worked but I'm facing the issue of not having bluetooth work. I've tried several update files but the result is either that it flashes and it doesnt work correctly still, or it doesnt flash at all. I've only ever flashed the updated.app from the update.zip, but I haven't touched anything else, including the update_data_full_public.zip or update_full_VNS-L31_hw_eu. Is there a way to use the dload method of some sort to freshly install the firmware correctly? Right now I'm sitting on region C432 and B371. Any help is appreciated!

Use rollback package, go back to A6, flash via dload C432B161 (A6 firmware for your phone), factory reset, and try update to Nougat via OTA or via Firmware finder.
You can't flash Nougat FW via dload.

I've looked for the B161 one, I have found one although it doesn't really work as it says "incompatible versions" in the dload method, am I doing something wrong or am I forgetting something? I'm using the one from this website https://www.gizrom.com/b161-emui-4-1-huawei-p9-lite-android-6-0/

Strange, if your phone is dual SIM, B371 is wrong FW, it's for single SIM, okay, if you have dual, download rollback package for L-31:
http://download-c1.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=93789&version=373429&siteCode=sk
and VNS-L31C432B160:
http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1164/g104/v66034/f1/full/update.zip
Now unpack rollback package, and paste update.app in the dload folder on SD card and flash using three button combo.
Remove rollback from dload folder, unpack B160 and paste update.app in dload, and flash (button combo). Factory reset and voila! you are on Marsmallow .

I just did them, I think I was missing the rollback package. Bluetooth does work, as everything else. I think there should be an option to update, however I'm not sure which version I should find on the huawei firmware finder. The normal Updater doesn't seem to have an update (yet, I'm not sure if it'll pop up either). Any idea which is the most recent one that I can try? As I thought b371 was good but apparantly its single sim Thank you!

If you are now on B160, and can't update to Nougat via OTA (dont forget insert SIM card into phone), use Firmware finder, and send to update this FW: VNS-L31C432B370 FullOTA-MF-PV. "PV" is very important! No.: 80460 . And check firmware accses for your phone with IMEI.

I think I found that one, why was the PV important? Does it contain stuff that I was missing? I've also checked it with the firmware access, it seems it's working with the updater. It's still downloading, but I think it'll work. In any case thank you!
