Hello everyone, today for the Honor 6 Plus is a new OTA is the C432B571 some people have jumped him via OTA and others not so you can download the update I put and upgrade to the latest version which is the PE-TL10C432B571.

LINK http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G753/g104/v55895/f1/full/update.zip

Awesome..!! This is just like the B190 OTA update for Honor 7.
So they are updating the Lollipop version for their devices too, this is the first approach like this I have seen.

This is an update improving mm is passed from the B560, B571 this new update

Does this work on honor 6 too?

No, it's for the plus

Damn, any word on when h6 gets this?

I'm on the PE-TL10C432B560 but when I tried to update it gave me "FAILED TO UPGRADE" and I was forced to restart my H6+.
Did you get the same error?
I placed my update.app in a dload folder, inside my External SD Card.
Thanks in advance

Have you stock boot and recovery partitions? No root?
If you have, you must remove Supersu (select full unroot), flash stock partitions and then do the update.
If you don't have root, consider first and foremost a backup with Huawei Backup. Then download the zip file from here and follow the instructions.

Thanks a lot mate!
With the link you provided I was able to successfully upgrade my H6+
Anyway I'm still official, no root, no unlocked bootloader.... strange considering that I lost my MotoG1 warranty after a week
Thanks again

I have downloaded the zip (didn't extract it) and i have created /dload file in internal memory and put that zip inside it, then i have open updater and select that zip and my 6+ enter in installing mode, but it stuck at 99% and it doesn't continue, someone knows whats wrong with it ?

You should have extracted it.
Extract the zip file unitl you have an update.app and put this into your dload folder. Then try updating again with force update method. If this doesn´t work

Hello Zinko_pt,
I have the PE-TL10C900B331 and my phone shows me the PE-TL10C432B571 to update. If I run the automatic update it is not working. At 1% the installing stops and phone reboots.
I tried the german site with the zip and force installing but it is the same
Could you help me? No root phone
Thank you in advance

First I would try to get an update file that I could check its integrity either by MD5 or other form of verification. That would ruled out corrupted file cause.
Second, I would backup all my important things with native Huawei backup app into SD or PC. The I would perform a factory reset and setup just the Google account and Huawei ID if your ROM has one. Also setup HiCare app. Make sure all are updated. Then try to check update and if it works, great, if it doesn´t then try force update.
Only after update I would restore backup.

May I please ask what are the changes in this update? I am a huawei honor 6 plus user.
Thank you in advance for your response!

Does this work on PE-TL10C185B561 ?
As i worked on the steps but it stops at 5% although there is enough free space & battery charge

Thanks it works! Factory reset was needed. I think the problem was, that I encrypted the phone itself before.

Honor India - RAM Management and VoLTE bug fix update (B370)

Honor India released an update today for its KIW-L22 - B370.
Link - http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G79/g0/v67983/f1/full/update.zip
This update consists of
1. VoLTE bug fixes
2. RAM Management improvements.
3. Android Security Patches
How to update?
Prerequisites: You should be in the B360 in order to update this one.
Note: B360 was causing the bootloop for custom ROM. Since this is built over that this might also cause Bootloop.
So have a TWRP backup before updating to this one too.
This update can be flashed via TWRP. Forced update won't work.
You can update by following steps by @gopinaidu77 here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/how-to/guide-force-installing-stock-ota-t3502874
But you need to be Rooted for it.
i havent got any update, checked right now..
anyway i downloaded the zip given, i dont understand y is that a flashable zip? it contains several patches and an update.app file..
is it twrp flashable too??
and even after updating, my build number is still b360

I have tried with update.zip earlier in my Honor 7. So Update.zip works as per my knowledge.
However I'm not sure, as I have not tried it for this one Since I don't have KIW-L22.
I have KIW-L23 which is stuck at EMUI 3.

Is this official? because I couldn't find anything on Honor official sites
Link not working

[For FRD-L14 Users] Here is how to restore/downgrade to EMUI 4.1/MM Build

So, just like others I have been itching to install the Nougat beta and boy what a ride I had. I used the Charles method and installed the beta successfully. While install was great, the software was not. I had several things missing and It did not go well.
First and foremost, beta is ONLY for FRD-L04 models which is the US 32GB single sim version and NOT for the FRD-L14 64GB models. The beta build really screwed up my phone and I had to downgrade to official MM build. The software doesn't really tell there is a mismatch in the model as technically they are the same specs except for the storage.
To downgrade, I read this thread and then downloaded and restored from the image from the Honor 8 downloads page. Restored to MM successfully but guess what, my model number showed FRD-L04 and not FRD-L14. This was a problem. Why? Well, it turns out when you set up Android Pay, it clearly tells that I am running a custom ROM. While all day to day function work right, you are still running a custom rom as you are not running the software for FRD-L14.
Honor 8 site does not have the restore image in their downloads page. I called their support and they acknowledged that the restore image available is not for FRD-L14. They are working on it to see why they don't have this image available for download.
So, how do you restore?
Thanks to this thread, I was able to get the full image. Below are the links:
1. update.zip
2. update_data_full_hw_usa.zip (only if you need the bloat)
Download those and flash them from SD card as described in this thread. That will get you the MM build. Below is the build number you should be if you are in MM:
- FRD-L14C567B162
Hope tha helps.
@digitalbreak
Although your post is very informative your missing some key elements.
Where is your Rollback Update.app zip ?
The correct way to restore MM from Nougat is to flash rollback and then your last full update.zip (B162 ?)
you could try the one for the L04 here >> http://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=92098&version=360320&siteCode=us
the link you posted to FRD-L04, Android 6.0, EMUI 4.1, C567B122 is useless and just makes it confusing
Also flashing the update_data_full_hw_usa.zip is how you update the /cust partition
that's where your Local.prop is stored and that's where your phone gets the information displayed in the Settings / About screens.
So if you had not previously changed the /cust their would be no need to flash it again after the Full update.app is flashed.
You would be able to tell this if your Settings/About screens are wrong after the flash.
Also you state that using the Charles method did not go well ? That's really not possible, because this method downloads the files directly from Huawei servers
and the update is the same as if the OTA were pushed to your phone. Only real way to mess that up is to input the wrong response in Charles App and download the wrong update. If you had linked the correct FRD-L14C567B360 file in Charles you would have had no problems.
Bottom line
If your on Nougat Beta and you want to return to MM
you simply dload flash the Rollback and then the Full B162
and you should be back to stock. If Settings / About is incorrect
dload flash the update.app inside the update_data_full_hw_usa.zip
And just for reference here are all the files available for you phone >> http://hwmt.ru/oth/HWFF/info/view.php?find_model=frd-L14
And to get the correct update_data_full_hw_usa.zip for each version
just edit the update.zip download link
Code:
http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1278/g104/v72029/f1/full/update.zip
to http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1278/g104/v72029/f1/full/[COLOR="Red"]hw/usa/update_data_full_hw_usa.zip[/COLOR]

Unfortunately that doesn't help for FRD-L14, at least for me as it didnt succeed. I tried the included manual step by step but it did not restore to MM.

In the sense that I had pulled the update for the wrong model. It was hard to find that the beta program was only for FRD-L04 and not for FRD-L14. And that thread is so long it is difficult to even guess that if you are a newcomer.

I can do the rollback but I just realized that I have the 64GB version which is the FRD-L14
http://www.phonemore.com/huawei-honor-8/models/629
I'm not sure if there is a FRD-L14(64GB) variant of the MM firmware available anywhere. If so, I'm not aware of the link of the site to find it. Secondly, if I do install the FRD-L04(32GB) variant of the MM firmware would that create problems for the phone in upgrading and later trying to root and install custom ROM etc.
Much Thanks
Installing the FDR-L04 image on FDR-L14 will tell Google that you are using an unidentified or a custom ROM version. That will limit certain services/apps like for example Android Pay and even sometimes updater to work. Android Pay certainly didn't work for me. Some say its just a file that contains the hardware info that needs to change while the rest are the same, but I have had no luck with that approach.

When you rolled back your L14, do you have service like Android Pay? I really want to roll-back since Nougat/EMUI5 have been terrible on battery life. Is it "legitimately" L14 with the 64GB storage?

I had an issue with this yesterday too.
If you still have access to TWRP, try deleting the data partition too. I think that sets it to a test mode than you can then downgrade.
From there I used the dload method to flash the rollback package, and then I flashed a full MM package.
I really wish Huawei would release a damn full Nougat image so we didn't have to do this each time (unless you really want to go back to MM)

I downloaded the rollback image except the instruction mentions L04. Is okay to install this rollback image on the L14 with 64GB? My phone was never part of Nougat beta and I don't have root. Never installed TWRP.
I just want to go back to MM because Nougat on my L14 has been a disaster on battery life. It also caused my audio to skip especially spotify when stream to bluetooth and I try to use the Internet.

Yup. Like I said, same issue. I have the L14 and that package is only for the L04.
I flashed it and seemed ok. Although I still think that wiping the data partition maybe had something to do with it.
Good luck either way!
I want to downgrade myself but don't want to mess up my phone. Huawei is really stupid of just putting the downgrade package only for the 32gb version of the phone.
Rollback image is Ok but don't download the full image as that is the one tied to L04.
I chatted with Honor support twice to give us a L14 image and they haven't done it yet. I would really ask you guys to do the same if you can as that will put pressure on them.

I have the L14 64GB version and the downgrade was actually flawless. You will need to download the main update file per OP and also download the rollback image for the L04 from my prior post. It's a compressed RAR file so you can use 7zip to decompress. Ignore the instruction inside the file. My rollback went without a hitch but my phone is not rooted and no TWRP installed. Everything is stock so YMMV.
Create a folder "dload" in your micro SD card and copy in the UPDATE.APP from the rollback image. This file is about 67 MB.
Turn-off the phone.
Press Vol+, Vol-, and Power Button simultaneously until it turns on. Keep them all pressed until you see the update screen. You can release the buttons when you see them. The rollback image takes about 30-60 seconds to complete. The phone will reboot when completed.
The phone will restart back into Android. Turn-off the phone and remove the micro SD card.
Delete UPDATE.APP rollback image (67 MB) from folder dload.
Copy the UPDATE.APP file from the L14 image into dload. The file is about 3 GB after decompression.
Re-insert micro SD into phone and restart per step # 3.
The update screen will appear and it'll start to install the L14 image.
I believe it'll auto restart after completion (don't remember). The entire process should take 5-10 minutes.
Congratulations!!! Now you are back to MM.

I did follow your steps, but my keyboard has now vanished when the set up screen appears. It only shows google voice and I'm having trouble setting up my phone. Has anyone had the same problem. What can I do to get my keyboard back?
Note: my phone is unrooted. Not sure if that makes a difference

Sorry to bring this thread up again... I just followed this and got to B162 (L04), but my device is L14.
How can I start updating towards B385 for L14?
Anyone have any step by step instructions?

You need to make sure that the full update image (3GB) is already for the L14 version and not the L04.
In the second post in this thread there is a link to all the current L14 packages. In the list locate the one that has the version B162 and download it. Extract the UPDATE.APP and use that as the MM package for your specific phone.
Just FYI, the rollback image is branded for L04, however at that point it's only preparing the phone to allow to receive a update package that is of lower version than what you currently have (going from N back to MM). So even though you have the 64GB L14 version the roll back image will work regardless.
Once you are back to MM and your device is recognized as L14 once again, it should start taking OTA updates. This will get you back to stock N.

Back to stock using fastboot

Hi, since i'm not confident with adb/fastboot commands, i'm asking help for restoring the original firmware and recovery in my MLA-L11.
I've downloaded the two files from Firmware Finder (i'm sure 100% they are the right one) but i don't know how to proceed. Anyone can help there? Thank you

Hey!
You have to go back to EMUI 4.1 by restoring a TWRP backup and then you will update to EMUI 5. Ive used the following process on my CAN-L11 and worked fine. It should work on all models. @virusdunil has followed the same process on his MLA-L03 and everything went fine.
Let me know if you experience some trouble during this process.
Go back to EMUI 4.1 (MM)
1) Download this TWRP backup of MM: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73003510&postcount=60.
2) You can put the backup to internal memory or sdcard, After you've chose where you wanna put it, take a backup of boot.img with TWRP to internal/sdcard (where you wanna put the backup), so you'll get a folder with this structure: TWRP > BACKUPS > FPFDU16A20001907 (you'll have different number I guess). Then you'll put the twrp backup folder (which you have downloaded) in that folder with numbers
3) Boot in TWRP, wipe system, data, cache, dalvik cache from twrp > wipe > advanced and then you restore the backup from TWRP > restore (restore only system + data + boot). Then you reboot and you're good to go.
Click to collapse
Now update to EMUI 5 (N)
After youve downloaded the stock firmware using Firmware Finder, you should have two files:
- update.zip
- update_data_full_CAN-L11_hw_eu.zip (example)
Backup your internal memory as it will be wiped at step 8).
1) Extract update.zip. Then you get UPDATE.APP.
2) Download Huawei Update Extractor.
3) Open Huawei Update Extractor, choose UPDATE.APP from the folder where youve extracted it. Right click RECOVERY.img and extract it.
4) Now boot your phone in fastboot mode by pressing and holding the power and the volume down buttons at the same time.
5) Type in terminal / command prompt on PC to flash the stock recovery which youve extracted at step 3):
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
.
6) Reboot.
7) Put update.APP in a folder called dload on your sdcard.
8) Dial *#*#2846579#*#* and choose Sofware Upgrade > SDCard Upgrade. Now EMUI 5 will be installed, bootloader gets relocked and internal memory gets wiped. Now wait about 5 mins (maximum 10 mins). If the phone isnt booting within that time, then boot the phone in stock recovery by pressing and holding power and volume up buttons and choose "Wipe data / factory reset" and then "Wipe cache partition". After you reboot, the phone should boot. Skip the setup wizard.
9) Remove update.APP from dload folder from your sdcard and extract the other zip (example update_data_full_CAN-L11_hw_eu.zip) and put all the files/folders extracted in dload folder.
10) Dial *#*#2846579#*#* and choose Sofware Upgrade > SDCard Upgrade.
11) You are done.

Hi robert, i succesfully downgraded to MM and restored (i guess) stock recovery. But when I try to upgrade to nougat via sdcard upgrade the phone can't find the update.zip file.
Maybe the problem is my phone believe he is a CAN instead of a MLA, and don't recognize a MLA update.zip file?
If that is the case, you need to use the firmware extractor and "fastboot flash system system.img" to get your build.prop back. That would get your device to recognize as what it is.

Hey!
I've got your PM, but I see that meanwhile you've posted here and you made a new thread too... You don't have to make so many posts, a post or a thread is enough to get the attention of someone.
In your case, the phone model is MLA-L11 and C185/C432 is the build number as far as I remember. You can check the build number in Settings > About phone. I don't know if there's any other way to check, if you're on other build number now and you don't know which one was yours.

Steps #9 and #10 do not work for me ("Software install failed"). But I wonder if they are necessary after all, because Product Id, IMEI, Build-number (and of course EMUI-Version and Android-Version) are stock again.
And isn't "update_full_CAN-L01_hw_eu.zip" supposed to be included in the "update.zip"-file? I thougt "update.zip" allready delivers every part of the ROM.

updating failed

So, I just rooted my Huawei P Smart, the 136 update shows up, it does all the install steps, reboots and then says it failed. Do O need to do something on the twrp boot?
Download the full firmware, we lose the option to just update via normal update and we can update with a full system update

Pretty sure you'll need stock recovery to update the "normal" way.

I'm not an expert - I always use HuRUpdater to update. It just requires you to download the (exact) right files, renaming them correctly and (like rooting with Magisk) just simply flashing a single .zip in recovery. In case you try it out, remember rule#1: Always make sure you have a (nandroid)backup.
Here are the relevant lines from my "Huawei-related-findings" text file:
#update
"Depends on how you rooted.
For a successful OTA install your device probably must meet the following criteria
• HUAWEI stock recovery installed
• unaltered /system, /product and /vendor partitions
So if you rooted with a "systemless" method (e.g. Magisk, recent SuperSU) and haven't done other installs/modifications that typically change /system you could try it. And you have to flash stock recovery (i.e. get rid of TWRP temporarily for the OTA install)."

“It's recommended to use a proper custom recovery (with running oeminfo_nvm_server service) like for example*my version of TWRP.
How to use:
Warning: Make sure you know what you are doing and do not flash firmware from other devices.
1. Download firmware files (for official firmware use Huawei Firmware Finder).
2. Put files you want to flash in a seperate folder on sdcard.
Supported zip files to flash are (name must match):
◦ update.zip (use FullOTA file)
◦ update_all_hw.zip
◦ update_data_public.zip
3. Optional: Put recovery.img in same folder if you want to keep custom recovery.
4. Put HuRUpdater zip in same folder.
 5. Select*only HuRUpdater*to flash in custom recovery.
6. Follow instructions on screen. Flashing can take multiple minutes.
Problems:
• If firmware includes factory reset
◦ Factory reset is not supported by custom recovery. Therefore HuRUpdater will flash stock recovery before launching factory reset. After flashing firmware and doing factory reset, you need to flash recovery manually.”

Yes, I'm im the same boat - I guess you also get the "can't have connection" error using the FF app. During the last weeks they had troubles with their service regarding hackers and moving to a new server (according to their telegram group), which have been fixed ("all services working normally now"), and many can use it again - for whatever reason some still can't connect. I tried reinstalling the app, using proxies from different countries - still doesn't let me connect.
But their web interface is working: https://pro-teammt.ru/firmware-database/ though you can't check iirc, if the firmware has been approved for your IMEI.

You apparently can download this release (2379) if you own this device/board- though the last time I updated mine (.148) I used the 2079 (154226) one despite owning the exact same device. I'm slightly confused about this
I didn't try the above mentioned update myself.

Question about custom recoveries and bootloader relocking

Hello!
I have unlocked the bootloader of my Mate 10 lite and proceeded to flash TWRP and Magisk onto the device. But in doing so, I get an awful looking screen when I boot the device, so I thought I should relock the bootloader, now that TWRP has been flashed.
...I immediately regretted relocking the bootloader, as the system was inaccessible until I re-unlocked the bootloader and was able to access TWRP and the system again. So my question is, can you lock the bootloader with TWRP installed and still access the system?
Also, if I want to go back to full-stock, I have to download a stock ROM for the system from firmwarefinder and flash it with some tool, correct?

Unfortunately, it's impossible...
You can flash Stock ROM for the system from firmwarefinder (fullOTA-MF only!) using HwOTA, HuRupdater, Huawei Multi-tool (RUFI).
If You want to go back to full-stock with locked bootloader (not re-locked) , You have to flash Service ROM from dload (this process will erase all the data from your device!).

Whew. I got the bootloader AND FRP locked on me, and now I don't have a usable system. So now, I have to rely on eRecovery to download a 3GBs package and hope all things go well...the problem is, I'd need to find a place that offers fast WiFi...my internet is terrible.
EDIT: Got the system back up thanks to eRecovery. I'm not sure if I want to root or install a custom recovery on the Lite. I've realized even more that I should cherish my older phone, my Samsung Galaxy Win. At least this one isn't complicated or protected by Fort KNOX.
When u play with custom roms, u appreciate the customization/optimizations offered by developers, thanks to them. But with the time, u always feel stock ROM was best for this n that reasons. Recent 2/3 times I was able to use Huru Updater to get back to Stock ROM and it worked well (needs TWRP installed, and you may need to switch to other TWRP if u get error from existing)
You seem to be a beginner, so I would suggest to get help from some friends who can do it for you. Or obviously u can try ur self again and again, and learn good things until something finally works for u. You were able to relock bootloader so it means u have the code for ur device for locking/unlocking, save this code on at least 2 different places (email, google drive, dropbox etc.). Then u can easily unlock ur device again, and install Stock ROM etc.

Custom ROMs are the best thing to happen to the Galaxy Win, even if the available choices all have their compromises. But with the M10 lite, I think it's better to stick with stock and mod it. And I'm not exactly a beginner, but rooting the Galaxy Win and modifying it was no hard ordeal. Or the Galaxy Grand for that matter, which I changed its ROM entirely. The Mate 10 lite however, oh dear (wipes sweat).
I've got the system back up and re-fitted it with TWRP and installed Magisk. And yet, when I try backing up the data partition with TWRP, I meet a peculiar error. Excerpt from recovery.log:

I:Copying file /tmp/recovery.log to /external_sd/TWRP/BACKUPS/FFY5T18328016218/2019-06-08--20-21-17/recovery.log
I:Set page: 'action_complete'
I:operation_end - status=1
Searching on the internet, I found the solution was to delete the file that stops the operation from finishing. However, using MiXplorer with full root permissions, I...couldn't find the file...? There's only bt_config.bak, bt_config.conf and macbt. Nothing else. What the heck is up with all that?
I'd appreciate a solution to this.

Code:
I:addFile '/data/misc/bluedroid' including root: 1
==> set selinux context: u:object_r:bluetooth_data_file:s0
found policy '/data/misc/bluedroid' - '1DK' - '3c2755a577289547'

I am certainly not up to what u r indicating so cant suggest a solution, earlier in my reply, I was only
indicating my experience with custom ROMs. I havent yet come across a single custom ROM for mate 10
lite that has no problems. Earlier Galaxy S4 Mini, there was custom ROM which was awsome, not a single issue
But for mate 10 lite camera problem is most common. Stock camera app often doesnt work or partially
works, restart of the app etc. You can install open camera, but it does not give u best shots, and filters.
Other issues are already discussed in every custom ROM thread, so I had to come back to Stock ROM
with magisk to remove any system apps that I dont need plus other goodies that magisk offers u (modules)
Alright, so I am supposed to install 347, but I uhh...can't, because I don't think TWRP is able to do it. What am I supposed to do in order to carry out the update successfully?

I just did your instructions today. All was going well up until installation of the new update. The first time, it rebooted when the progress bar was at 6%, then it rebooted again to the recovery, went up to 6% again before showing this screen:
Code:
Software install failed!
Failed to check the update files
Please download the package again
> Reboot system now
So I'm back to square one basically.
Also, I can't install updates to the built-in Huawei apps for some reason, even after flashing the stock recovery. I'm not sure what to do with both issues now...

Try to download the update again
Usually when i tried to install new update(100+Mb) i will ended up what the code said but downloading a Full Update(3.49Gb) Fixed the problem
Just refresh the update in setting and install it

Unfortunately, it's impossible...
You can flash Stock ROM for the system from firmwarefinder (fullOTA-MF only!) using HwOTA, HuRupdater, Huawei Multi-tool (RUFI).
If You want to go back to full-stock with locked bootloader (not re-locked) , You have to flash Service ROM from dload (this process will erase all the data from your device!).

But can you unlock the bootloader later on with the same code if you wanted or is this it?
