Just wondering since my Note 10.1 N8000 Ram is 1GB and Dual core.
I didn't find anything about it; and I needs to know is it compatible with custom roms or not?
Anyone knows about it, please help
EDIT
As I mentioned in post #7, it is a quad core processor (I think it is somehow a cpu utilization, because some time it display dual core or 3 cores, but when I open an application or game, or even samsung app and games hub it goes quad core)

Are you sure your device is Note 10.1 N8000 & not a Tab 2 10.1 ?
You need to go to the about settings and see if its an N80xx or a P7500 model...
If its a P7500 model then you have a galaxy tab 10.1 NOT a note 10.1.... Don't flash the roms for a different device or you will end up with a brick...

It is a N8000 16G 3G version (With S-Pen)
Look at attached screenshots (one from the device it self and the other one from the result of IMEI online checker)
If you have a n8000 you have a quad core 1.4ghz with 2gb ram just to let you know . To my knowledge all Note 10.1 variants have this config. And no they wont be compatible with roms

Now, it display a Quad core processor but still 1GB ram
About the MODEL, it is N8000, 3G 16G black edition
check attached pics from the back cover, sorry for unclear images
I don't know the internal wiring of the note but it may be possible they put 2 1gb ram dimms inside. If this is indeed the case then its possible that one of these dimms are faulty causing you to register only 1 gb of ram.
I'd take back to the shop, check out the demo mode and if they argue point this out to them. If its less than a week old they should replace it with a new Note straight away. Just remember to take everything in with you.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has 2gb of ram and a quad core processor. Only the early pre-production model had 1gb of ram was a dual core but I've never heard of anyone getting one of those.
Thank you

Yes, I know the old specs. is 1GB ram, Dual core and 3MP camera; and that was changes before hitting the market (for show only im MWC 2012)
And if this is one of these demo tablets, it should be 3MP cam and Dual core; and this is not my case.
Thank you for your time
Weird, the IMEI pic says it has a Bluetooth 3.0, when the n8010 has Bluetooth 4.0
Pretty unique little Note 10.1 you have there.
and no Infra-red
Also, the device has no infra red port
Still discovering its specs and will let you know about
I FEEL I'M THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS SPECS
YES! UNIQUE
Edit:
Was rooted successfully, CMW recovery injected and a backup was taken.
Tried to install Android_Revolution_HD-Note_10.1_4.0 but failed (stuck while installing dropbox for more than 20 minutes with 0%)
So, returned to the backup. Downloading a stock 4.1.2 UAE stock rom.
The material of the back doesn't seem to be of a note, very strange device, may be it was a test device or something

I would definitely take it back to the place were you bought it.
No way I would pay the normal price for a Note 10.1 and having it with half the RAM and half the CPU cores.
I think this is a faulty packaging process, maybe someone is packaging test units (old) thinking these are normal/fresh units.
No idea.

Starting point would be to assume this is a fake until evidence says its not .

Yea, FAKE device was my first decision.
But the OP said he was able to locate the IMEI on an IMEI Specs database.
And the screenshot shows it's registered to Samsung, SO How Can It Be Fake???

Quad core
As I mentioned in post #7, it is a quad core processor (I think it is somehow a cpu utilization, because some time it display dual core or 3 cores, but when I open an application or game, or even samsung app and games hub it goes quad core)
Now, I thing I'm not able to install even the stock rom "N8000XXCLL6_N8000OJVCLL3_XSG.zip"
Stuck on the samsung logo, and the recovery CWM has gone.
I hope it back to restore the backup
to exit the samsung logo screen, I press too long ( > 20 minutes ) on power buttun, but some times it leads me to "POWER RESET OR UNKNOWN UPLOAD MODE". That takes the same time to exit then takes me back to the logo screen.
Anyone knows how to force restart or power off and exit odin or samsung logo correctly?
thanks,

Mine:
Hello, I am wanting to purchase this cool phone which features a octa core processor and has 13 MP camera rear and 5mp front facing camera.
It has also got a big touch screen and comes with Android 4.2 installed.
I have some questions regarding this phone before I buy it.
Questions:
- What is the GPU of the phone and how many CORES does it use?
- What is the clock speed of the gpu or each cores and what model is the video chip made from?
- How much video memory does the phone use in it's chip?
- On goo phone's website the price is $240.00 but im not sure if that is the same price in Australia. Is that phone $240 in AUD or is it a USA site instead or is it listed as cheap because it is in china and for Australian people they must use a currency changer?
I want to know what the DPI of the screen is and also I want to know if the phone is water and dust resistant or not.
I REALLY NEED THIS PHONE because it is a very cheap 8 CPU powered phone but I am unsure if $240 AUD is going to be the price for this phone. Has any one bought a model just like this one for the same price but less cpu's say a quad core model but a 8 core model would cost around $400???
Im not sure and that's why I ask here.
HOw about the android operating system? I Know it is 4.2 but is it kitkat or is it upgradable to kitkat?
Would I be able to execute playstation mobile on it? - you don't hve to answere this question but if you know any thing more please tell me
If you're in aus, I'd look at the much nicer Moto G, octa core isn't everything and you're likely to get better performance from the quad core in the G than any Chinese octa core phone.

Why is 8 core not better then a quad core cortex A7 cpu?
Do you know the video chip of the goophone s4 max? I have purchased it but im not sure what the price will come on my credit card as in AUD that's were worries me that I may be charged more then the amount said on the site's webpage.
If you know more about the goophone s4 max and what I have asked can you please put it here, I DO NOT want any other phone except for the 8 core one because that is definitely faster RIGHT since it has a faster 2.0GHz clock speed and 8 cores means it is faster
Hi there, can anyone say me that the I9500 is a fake or a original?

never seen a universal baseband version on an original i9500 also, your camera should be 13mp not 8.0mp

At the camera app i can switch to 13MP.
I don´t unterstand why for example the resolution have a difference between AnTuTu(1920x1080) an CPU-Z(960x540)
Or why shows CPU-Z 2 Cores and AnTuTu schows 4+4 Cores?

It is because AnTuTu reads a build prod file from the system (here you can write what you want or need!!!! to say)
CPU-z make a real investigation at devices and chips level and report what is close to true and safe.
So no question this is a clone ( a kind of old Galaxy note one) but a good medium range device able to well service many people.

Can you give more detail about this model:
Where did you buy it, the price, new or used device etc for us to be informed.
Maybe you have a clone with internal Samsung board devoted to another model. cross check with other existing devices using the same hardware.

Everything that other guys said is true. But there's an easy way to check it. Go in the WC, switch off the lights and reboot the phone (in pitch dark room - no light !). If the black part of the screen is perfectly black (no light bleeding) - it's AMOLED (Galaxy S series). If not - it's LCD type (there's light bleed and the black is grayish) and there's no Galaxy S4 with LCD screen.
None fake phone has OLED (AMOLED) display so far, so it's an easy check.
You can also check with Samsung service codes (use Google), but the above method is 100% secure so far (as far as very few phones use AMOLED. The upcoming LG top phones will also have it).
If your NFC menu in settings shows empty, it's a fake. Search on youtube : Galaxy S4 fake vs real
You mean like in one of this screenshots?
Sorry fake

Fake!
There is no clon capable to enter in odin download mode. Switch off your phone and push simultaneity power +home +volume down keys for some seconds. If it doesn't enter in the typical download mode screen, you can be sure it is a fake.

Cpu-z doesn't lie. On the other hand, there are quality clones. For those who don't want to spend 500+ $,a 200$ clone(often with a mtk quad core,1gb ram, even 13mpx camera and powervr 544mp) is more than enough. Not to mention it has 2 big batteries and is dual sim.
Not encouraging the buy of these phones, but not all of us have this amount of money. On this particular case,it's a cheap and low quality clone. I wouldn't pay more than 50$ for it.

Hi guys. I have a snapdragon 600 CPU. I am just wondering if it works if I replace the 430 in TA-1000 with this CPU? Would the hardware supports? I mean, you know for example we can't just replace an Intel Q6600 with an i5 because motherboard won't support it. Is it the same situation on smart phones? I never worked on smart phones. So please if someone could share any experience? Thanks guys!

you are talking about changing "heart".. on humans it is working in some instances (luckily where no s/w needed :laugh.. but machines need s/w to cope with h/w.. so, until unless you are able to let machine know that you changed his heart (cpu), it won't work..
This is the dumbest question I have ever seen in my entire life.
1) What do you mean you have a snapdragon 600 cpu? Thats not possible. Do you work at Qualcomm and you somehow managed to smuggle a single chip back home from their factories? Did you rip a motherboard from an old phone?
2) The chip is soldered onto the motherboard. Good luck desoldering it without destroying the board.
3) I doubt that the pin layout of the 430 is the same as 600.
4) Its highly unlikely that the other chips like gpu, fingerprint sensor are compatible with your snapdragon 600. Even if they are its going to require a lot of coding to get them to work.
5) The 430 is much better than the 600.
If you really want a nokia 6 with a snapdragon 600 then just buy a nokia 6, completely gut it until nothing is left except the shell, buy a complete motherboard with snapdragon 600 and all the other components and place your motherboard with the other components in your empty nokia. You might have to use a saw, tape and glue to get everything neatly in your nokia.
What you are proposing will end in failure.
My K1 has upgraded to 7.0. it became slow when i use it. I rooted and optimzed it but it can olny get a lttle better.
I want to know if an android device can expand RAM by changing the RAM chip? And if it can perform much better?
its very difficult and not very cost-effective to hire skilled engineer to replace it . just buy a new tablet

1st,thank you for replying me. i did a lot of things befroe i buy it, because it is a second hand.and it former owner told me it was upgraded to 7.0 and became slow maybe because it 2GB RAM. so i was thinking if its RAM can be expanded by doing so.
Likely not, you will need a compatible ram chip. Even if the larger chip is compatible, the board or kernel may limit it to just 2gb. 32bit devices cannot use more than 4gb anyways. The best you can do is to just increase the swap.

I have been having the same thoughts as you. On this device, the ram is actually not built in the soc as most smartphones and tablets, its it separate from it on 4x512mb chips.
I got the tablet recently and the first thing that came across my mind was changing the thermal paste, the factory one is really garbage so I cleaned and replaced it with arctic mx2, under the heatsink of the soc and the ram there is some sort of a graphite thermal pad, which is not very efficient, I replaced it with thermal paste as well. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures, so idk what are the ram chips exactly, devcheck reports that the device has lpddr3 1066mhz ram but I'm not sure if that is trustworthy.
IMO upgrading the ram to at least 3gb is very possible, now the question is what kind of ram chips we need and where should we look for them.
Tegra K1 is practically the fastest 32-bit soc in existence, so more ram would definitely help it out a lot. I mentioned it in another post but on the latest firmware the ram usage is abnormally high on this device, sitting at about 1gb at idle(no gapps, LOS) while it should be closer to 500mb.
