RAM is working in low speed - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

HI, Guys!
Before the update on android 7 the RAM has worked perfectly, more precisely it has worked in high speed, and now it somehow on the Android 7 is showing another result. How do you think about this problem? May be is this a bug of the firmware? Or Samsung specially so made?
The problem is not observed on the G935V model or G935T, it is observed only in G935F.
I was testing it on the different benchmarks
For example app A1 SD bench.
Soon i will attach screens of my tests

A1 sd bench shows 14000 - 17000MB/s ---- android 6
A1 sd bench shows 2500 - 3400MB/s ---- android 7 ((

Hi my device have this problem (
RAM 3300MB/sec:crying:

Did maybe samsung specially do it?
This is realy no good, as the ram works in low speed on Android 7

Ummm, interesting. I can't try it in MM but if is true that in Nougat we've this low memory speed We need to tell Samsung what is doing!

Mine is even lower, 1888mb/s BUT in really extreme conditions (weather it's really warm and phone is under stress great stress). Don't get the point of this btw, i don't think samsung slowed ram speed on purpose

Now i got 3065 with cold device

3463MB/s

Which Samsung did it on purpose. They do not want to react to the official appeal! Write that the test does not work correctly.

G935V - Android 7 speed RAM 15600MB/sec!
What??

Hey guys, is there any fix for this? Or news?

3242 on Nougat.....
Wysłane z mojego SM-G935F przy użyciu Tapatalka

3906 on Ressurection Remix, it might just be a nougat thing, don't have any other devices to test that though... But do you notice a difference? I personally haven't.

Exactly, yours isn't G935F.
I'm still getting 3155MB/s with cold device, let's see if they fix it in Oreo...

So, how much are you getting now?
3181 MB/s with cold device.
I hope Samsung fix it with Oreo update...

On honor 7 i get 7600mb and on my s7edge only 3200mb????

Maybe we should ask this question to the s7 oreo rom threads to see if this bug is fixed in oreo.

Same with oreo stock.... no change

[Q] Newly updated lollipop low benchmark result

Hello everyone, I just recently updated my note 4 N910C to lollipop, and I Tested it to see its benchmark score on Antitumor, but I'm really disappointed to see that it scored a total of 38738. Its even low than galaxy s5. Whats wrong?

Does your device perform slow? No?Why the **** do you care about useless benchmarks....your device got a lower score than the S5 so what?Numbers don't equal performance...try doing a ful wipe if you already didn't...
There are already threads about this and you don''t care to search the forum before posting the same thread?
Woah dude, chill , dont be so pissed if you got to see a same thread on the forum lol

Nah..I'm not pissed lol...sorry if I sounded like that it's just that those benchmarks are useless.Judge the device by the way you see how it performs in everyday use not by a number you got from a benchmark app...and also as I mentioned there are already threads about this so use the search function
Your note 4 shipped with 4.4. Its built for 4.4. Use 4.4

I don't have any problem with the 5.0.1 in Note 4. I'm coming from Galaxy S5 and there is no way the Note 4 is performing worse than the S5. Its way faster.
I agree that benchmark points is useless and says little about the performance of the device.
Man i have the same problem here it seems that the phone is always in power saving mode and the gpu is limited to 350 mhz instead of 700 mhz. Also the cpu runs at 1.3 ghz instead of 1.9 for the big cores thats why it has low score in antutu hope somebody figures out a solution and also this is a bug in this update

meh
You guys are just being paranoid, I even noticed that it got faster after the lollipop update, I would never care for benchmark numbers as long as I am satisfied with the performance in real world, benchmarks can be influenced by many factors and I barely trust them (and ofc I am talking about Android benchmarks)
Edit: I just tried running a benchmark in Antutu and got 37940, ran it again and guess what? I got 44304, how can I trust this? LOL (I knew it would be way different from a benchmark to another, as it used to happen with me on my old HTC One X, since then I never trust these benchmarks). Just enjoy your phone and stop looking for non-existent problems.

I tried all above, but still get 37K score. most degradation is in 3D graphics. Also in UX and single thread CPU.
Still can not understand why it happens.

Of course not, we expected the score to be at least the same !
Except the score you can notice that fps has dropped in games.
It also has some problems definitely, I have hangouts crashing several times a day.
UX runtime is much lower in my case also.
Benchmark scores are 100% useless.

no they are not useless and I can see that on practice, performance has slowed down just like benchmark scores got lower.
Benchmark can precisely tell and measure the performance, that's it's purpose. In my case I can feel the difference not only in benchmark scores bat in practice also.
Same for me. Tried fresh wipe, re-odin, etc
Benchmarks are 100% useful and in the fact the performance has gotten worse on the beastly note 4 it feels same as note 3 is that even called update anymore. The frames per second for big games is just arownd 20 fps its very disapointinf

Overheating SD810 -Software fix (28.0.A.7.24 SPG712)

Hello Community,
my german Z4 Tablet (SGP712) was on 28.0.A.6.2 and got really hot sometimes, especially when I was downloading some gigabyte from PlayStore. Extended Stamina-mode brought no cooler CPU.
I unlocked my bootloader for helping a dev to root our device.
After installing 28.0.A.7.24 the CPU is much cooler, no more hot. So I went back to 28.0.A.6.2 and it was "hot" again.
Back on 28.0.A.7.24, everything is fine.
Please note that 28.0.A.7.24 is not available in all countries, yet.
Do you think they have introduced some throttling?
I read very much about it and there is no 2nd revision of SD810. All changes are made by software.
Maybe it was a bug of the Sony Firmware? Why the hell should a device become hot of downloading from PlayStore... it was really hot. I downloaded all my apps at once. It takes more than 15 minutes. I suppose that all cores where working at the same time.
But on the other hand, Sony confirmed overheating issues of SD810 and promised a new firmware without overheating in a short time. New firmware is 28.0.A.7.24 and it has no overheating issues. As far as I know they let less cores working at the same time - do we need really 8 cores working at the same time for such things? Never...
But please keep in mind - UNLOCKING your BL deactivates some features like Screen Mirroring and some more...

I have an German LTE version with 28.0.A.6.8 and no heat problem..
had installed 28.0.A.7.24 and when I run Antutu, midway the backside is heating too much.
is that everyone experiencing? I had installed CPU-Z and in idle condition it shows ~40 degrees average across - but during Antutu run midway it peaks to 80s and 90s and that when I see more hot on reverse.
are there any other aspects we need to check for heat issues?

Very low benchmark scores.

Hello,
The title says all.
I am getting very low benchmark scores.
In geekbench3: 1200 in single core and 2300 in multi core..
AnTuTu: 44506
What i have done to the moto x style:
unlocked bootloader
Installed supersu and xposed.
Factory reset already done.
Performance seems not that bad actually.
But the scores tells me otherwise.

If your performance feels good in real world use, why do you need some benchmark to tell you otherwise?
I am on aicp and put xclark kernel to perfromance and got 48k, before i had it on interactive and hotplug on eco performance. No difference felt how device performed.

I have been using it as my daily,
Only one issue that has caused some concerns is that, if you lose the phone signal and you are on gsm,
it switches to cdma and then acts like you don't have a sim card...It can take reboots and hours for it to
return to gsm. However this hasn't happened to me for 5 days now with the newer builds.
My phone hardly ever heats up much with cm12.1...and I DON"T use any processor tweaks.

I hate apple, but Apple definitely got it right by saying it is not always all about "hardware specs" and it's more of a coexisting relationship between the hardware and software that is more important.
Samsung definitely has the superior hardware, but their ****ty TouchWiz screws it all up

WHO has the biggest? Antutu Score ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°

Hi All, just thought I'd create a thread showing my highest AnTuTu score with Mi Mix.
Mi Mix: 6 GB / 256 GB
ROM: Epic Global ROM 8.2.1.0 (Stable)
Notes: used HEBF Optimizer, Greenify und Xposed Bootmanager
AnTuTu Score: 157.392
I'd be interested to see what other people are managing to squeeze out of their Mi Mix on either the same Epic or different Roms?
Hi,

Can you give a bit more of details regarding your optimisations?

Basic system infos:
- Epic Global ROM 8.2.1.0 (Stable)
- Rooted (SuperSu Pro v2.79-SR2 and BusyBox Pro v35)
- Xposed framework v87 (with 11 active modules)
- User Apps installed: 263
- System Apps installed: 192
Things done for the benchmark test:
- Greenify App: all apps, except SuperSu, BusyBox, AnTuTu, HEBF Optimizer, BootManager (Xposed module)
- BootManager: all apps, except BusyBox, Greenify, HEBF Optimizer, SuperSu, Kernel Adiutor
- Kernel Adiutor: CPU-Governor: Performance, CPU-Boost Intervall: 10ms
- HEBF Optimizier: Apply on boot: FSTRIM, and Performance: all, except rendering and ui tweaks
Before you start:
- turn screen off and wait some minutes. To complete (and greenify) all background processes.
- put the phone in the refrigerator for 5-10 minutes. No joke! A cold processor delivers the most power.
Then start AnTuTu immediately and hope the best.
And a little more

If you want good speed and optimized kernal the do not use the Lineage ROM . It was a quick port and is not at all optimized for the Mi Mix hardware.
I get at least 150 000 on Antutu even after running it 10x in a row.

Well I did figure it out now I got 160860~ Points.
In order to do that :
- Set the CPU governor to ondemand
- Clean everything from the memory
- Put the phone into the fridge.... it is really that sensitive so if the device is really cool, you will get more points.

Hey. Actually if an optimized and cooled Mix gets 160k score, you shouldn't be caring your own scores if you're able to say there is no lagging etc. If you put your phone into the fridge, you get 160k lol. What is this for? Instead put some ice cream with chocolate sauce on the cpu and enjoy watching the sundown and high scores ha! [emoji38] [emoji1] Don't get me wrong, of course i also would love to see my score on top but no point of it unless you live in Grœnland. Your device gets hot in your pocket and whilst usage and you may get -50k less score. So; 'nothing else matters' if it performs good. Have a lovely day.

Note 20 Ultra - Android 12 (One UI 4) - Exynos - Out Now

Hello there XDA community.
It's been a while since I last posted here for my previous Sammy device.
I have been using Note 20 Ultra International version (Exynos) for a few days now.
I have officially updated it to the latest Android version.
Here's a video to enjoy for fellow XDA members.
Hi is there any root for android 12 Note 20 ultra N985F
did anyone notice a decrease in performance after the update to one UI 4?
geekbench scores where around 900 single Core and around 2800 multicore performance before the update, after the update it went down to 540 and even 440 single core score and 2200 multicore
that's some drastic reduction
EDIT:
after some time and cooling down numbers aback to normal and even exceeding previous scores
Hi areeb47, can you help me upgrade my note 20 ultra to android 12? I'd appreciate guidelines. It was previously a Live demo unit but is now fully functional and on android 10. Kindly help me upgrade to android 12, thank you
Im still on beta - flashed via SDcard, will receive OTA or i must do it manually?

I noticed my Google Assistant wouldn't work and crash all the time post updating.
I had to clear its data and cache and it works fine. I also recently did a factory reset and I kinda have learnt to live with One UI 4.
I've successfully upgraded to android 12 one UI 4.0 using odin and it's been smooth. The first two days after the upgrade my phones performance was really bad, draining battery overheating and I searched some more for the cause and found out the Google Play updates were causing issues so I followed the solution given to uninstall the Google play services updates and everything's been great ever since, battery life's even improved on android 12 and I'm enjoying my device more than before. It was a live demo unit previously don't forget.

Go to settings > software update, you can download it from there.
Opt out from beta or demo modes.
You can do it manually in case you're upto it.
I noticed my Google Assistant wouldn't work and crash all the time post updating.
