I have tried a few Nougat ROMs and I can't connect to my other mobile. They pair ok but won't connect. I even had this BT problem on a ZTE AXON 7 which I returned.
I am trying to connect my Mate 9 which is running a Daydream controller emulator to my Moto X Style which is simulating a Daydream ready handset.
Thanks.
All of the Nougat ROMs I've used on my Moto X Pure have worked just fine. I didn't do what you're trying to do though.
The only ROM I've had major BT issues with was CypherOS. That worked... but I'd get massive BT battery drain. Everything else I've tried works fine. LOS has been the best all around.

Sounds like a problem situation at best anyways, your running an emulator on a device and connecting to a device simulating something else... Plus you had the same problem with another device? Sounds like the problem isn't the Moto X or Axon 7, but hey, what do I know about troubleshooting.

Not so much Nexus-7 specifically related, as the problem occurs on both my Droid 4 and my Nexus 7, but I hope someone can help me solve this problem:
Starting from a 'clean' situation with the keyboard unpaired to the tablet, I set the keyboard in pairing mode by pressing the 'connect' button until the bluetooth LED starts flashing rapidly.
I then go to the bluetooth settings of one of the above devices, I select the bluetooth keyboard from the 'available devices' list.
My Android device then prompts me to enter a certain passcode on the keyboard, followed by the ENTER key.
I do this and the keyboard successfully registers in the Android device as a paired device.
At this point I am able to use the keyboard without any problems.
However when I turn off the keyboard, or let it go to sleep, and then turn it back on later, the keyboard connects successfully (I can see 'Connected' in the bluetooth settings screen), but it's not possible anymore to enter any text or use any of the keys.
I try reconnecting several times each time turning the keyboard off in between, but alas, nothing helps.
If I 'unpair' the device from my Android device and re-pair it, it works fine again until the next time I turn it off.
Needless to say it's not really a workable solution having to re-pair the keyboard each time I want to use it.
To rule out the Android devices being the culprit, I have tested the same process with another bluetooth keyboard (Logitech DiNovo Edge) and it doesn't have the problem.
However, using the Rapoo keyboard on a colleagues iphone, everything works perfectly.
I've come across other people having this problem, and some say it used to work fine in Android 2.3, but at this moment I haven't got a device with 2.3 on it to test with.
I tested with a colleagues 2.2 Android phone but that one wouldn't even pair.
I will try tonight with my girlfriends 2.3 Moto Defy+ and report back.
Didn't get around to trying this on 2.3 yesterday.
I also sent an email to Rapoo support asking them if they knew any fix for this, and this was what I got in the mailbag this morning:
Dear Customer,
Hello!
Please note that E6300 is specially designed for Ipad.It works with other computers which use Windows or Mac operation system, the shortcut keys for Ipad may be useless.Besides, the only cell phone it supports is Iphone 4 and the the shortcut keys for Ipad may also useless.
Thanks for your support to our products.
Best regards,

What a bunch of horse dung...
i have the same problem with my nexus 7 and the rapoo 6300.
i allready tried different kernels and roms.
at first i also had to repair the keyboard once it disconnects. (happens quite fast, sometimes after not typing for some seconds, but sometimes it keeps connected and usable for about 10 minutes)
but i figured out that you don´t have to repair it when it disconnects. when it says "connected" but it is not possible to write something, just wait some seconds, and it will work. (at least at my device, stock kernel @ smooth rom)
still very annoying, but i think it shows that there is a solution for this problem.
After some research i found out that some people had this problem since android 4.0. (worked fine at gingerbread)
but i tested the keyboard at a friends nexus s with jellybean miui rom and it worked fine.

Another observation, when connected to an Ubuntu 10.04LTS (kernel 2.6.32-44-generic) desktop, the same behavior happens.
To repeat, you can pair the keyboard, and after the first sleep, even when it reconnects (pressing the Connect button helps), it does not generate input events for the desktop either.
Same problem here. Tested with a GNEX and a N10. Even with the latest 4.2.2 it shows the same problem … one sleep and you have to pair again. POS!
Any comments on Nexus 7 with CM or AOSP? I heard these mods use a different keyboard driver...

I tested Rapoo e6300 against a HTC desire HD with 2.3.1. No chance: it will not pair. Rapoo can not be used with my N7, it just worked ten minutes after it is paired, and then it starts disconnecting. And no input gets through. Waiting a few seconds have no effect, Bluetooth is basically not working.
Got major connectivity issues with Rapoo E6300 here too on Nexus 7 with SmoothROM 4.4 (Cm based on 4.2.1)
Swapped it for a Rapoo E6100: works great! I did get some issue with reconnecting to Nexus 7 after I tried to pair the keyboard to my HTC
One X (which didnt work at all).
Had to reset the whole connection with nexus, but as long as i dont switch off Bluetooth on the nexus it works fine. Switching off or sleepjng the keybord is fine.

Not sure at all if this is the place but is the only one I found in XDA.
Im having serious lag input from my Mad Catz C.T.R.L when paired via bluetooth to my Moto X (2014). Anyone knows if this is common or if there is a fix for this?
I have tested also a Moga and it runs fine so I don't think is my phone or its bluetooth receiver.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
The ctrlr lags for me when:
1. low on battery and; or
2, not in direct line of sight with device
Hope that helped.
I found a workaround but not sure who to blame here.
The solution I found is to turn off and on the bluethoot of my Moto X (2014) and reconect the MC.CTRL again, sometimes it works with the first try, sometimes I need to do it more than two times, but when it finally works, works without any trouble or lag.
Still, not sure if its a problem with CTRL or with the Moto X.

That's very strange, you can test the ctrlr on a different device with bluetooth.
Are running/connecting to anything else on Bluetooth? speakers? keyboard/mouse?
If so, test with it off.
Hi,
I'm having the same kind of issue on a One Plus One under OxygenOS (Lollipop).
The latency is huge, and even more when pressing a button and moving the sticks (around 1sec).
Do we have a workaround ?
I've not be able to pair my moto 360 2 gen. With mate 8 al10 Chinese version with b321 firmware. There's a way to solve it?? Or is it possible to downgrade from b321 to b180 firmware version ? Thanks
I've got the Moto 360 1. gen and am running B321
no issues whatsoever. don't know what steps you took, but you might want to start to reset your watch

Don't pair through Mate 8 Bluetooth settings but through the Android Wear app.
If you've already paired through Bluetooth, reset the watch to factory settings and restart.
Android wear doesn't work to connect
If you're not able to find your watch or pair using the Android Wear app, check if your Mate 8 has an active Internet connection.
same problem. ??
I too had BT problems on B32X but factory reset on mobile helped me solve them.
I have general issues with Bluetooth it very annoying to put it politely - it will work for 2 mins then drop them work then drop - I found with my LG urbane I had to restart them both to get them to pair then it slowly setup the watch over the next hour or too when Bluetooth worked.
I only noticed what Bluetooth was doing when I got a handsfree car stereo - My girlfriend thinks I have substituted the words 'Fuc#### phone' for goodbye!
I am running stock rooted with busy box and EX Kernel.
I have a 2016 Silverado with Android auto. The phone is
Not recognized when hooked to vehicle. I read that this is a known problem with the moto g. I was wondering if anyone has used a custom ROM that will let the moto g work with Android auto. Maybe a Nexus based ROM?
I appreciate any info.
android auto isnt available in every country first search for it in the play store if it doesnt pop up its possible to download the apk from apk mirror and installit from there im from belgium and here it isnt possible i installed it and everything worked perfectly (on phone, i don't own a car and my gf's one is really old,

Texas is The Greatest Nation in the US.
But, if you're using Bluetooth, you don't need to connect it via USB. I use an RF Transmitter and, thanks to the new update, I use Android Auto app. Sometimes my transmitter won't see my phone right away and I turn the Bluetooth off, then back on, then it connects no problem. I'm on Beanstalk 7.1 now, but I've been using this transmitter for almost a year. With Viper4Android, my crappy old car's speakers sound effing amazing.
I can hookup via Bluetooth. I can use the phone and play iHeartRadio. My android auto app does not work. So I can't get my Google maps on the screen of the radio. Your saying your moto g4 with beanstalk 7.1 does work. Thanks for the info I will be updating to beanstalk.
Just an update I tried beanstalk 7.1 and no go. The USB just charge the phone and will play music through it, but Android auto app does not connect. Thanks
