OK.
I have read the Accessories Posts, but didnt found an Solution for this.
I own an 5000mah Power Bank with USB Connectors.
Output 1A.
So, as you Guys know, if i connect such Device via USB-Data Cable it is detected by Tab as "PC-connected" and the Tab does not charge. If Tab is off, it charges quick and i am able to charge it with one Power Bank Load 1 1/2 Time.
And with my Galaxy S it works also if the Phone is on.
So my Question.
Is there any Tweak, Trick or Mod to enable the Tab to Charge it this Way?
Is it possible to modify some System settings to bring it work?
Have you checked in settings, if the battery charge doesn't go up?
It will charge using any current (even 300mA) only slower. The icon on the battery just says "I'm not connected to my proper charger", not "I'm not charging".
On JM6 and JMA the icon is also a bit better and show's it's charging but not full speed But charge rate is same as before.

Yes.
I am also using Battery Pro that displays me an Icon with Battery Load in Percent.
But the Tab doesnt charge.
Load of Akku decreases.
Yes. (Having JMA) the Stock Icon displays that an Power source is connected but still doesnt charge at all.
My Hope was, that anyone with Programming/Coding Skills is able to bring the Charging to work.
I am not nearly able to do this
I find it absolutely bad, that Samsung has made this incision to the usability of the Tab.
On my Galaxy S i can change with the same Power Bank in Operation without any Problems.
Very Pity that the Tab does not

Hi Pbruck, which power pack are you using & what's the specification for it. can you provide me with the model no.? Thank you.
Hi,
i use this:

Sorry, but have only found it in this German Shop.
Maybe you can still use the provided Informations there.

It says "1A (2x usb)" so you need to use 2 ports to get to the 1A.
There is no programming or modding necessary, the tab charges from anything that is powerfull enough and your crappy cheap charger is not (im just teasing you cause i ordered things from pearl before and all they sell is junk).
Hi Folks,
My HTC HD2 Android not getting charged either by a wall charger or usb via my pc... i dont what happened suddenly it got turned off due to low battery and when i pluged it for chrging its not showing orange LED notification of charging. when its off and plugged in Orange LED blinked once and Phone got switched on. And when its connected to PC for abt 3 mins it will show charging and after that it shows discharging and battery drains when it shows it discharging . pls help me out coz i dont want to loose my Leo .
Thanx in advance,,,,
Check the pins at the phone which connects to the battery. Sometimes they are deformed and this cause the charging/not charging problem.
But... in this case I don't think this is the problem, because this problem should not affect direct charging from usb cable.
Anyway check them just for sure!
Thanks VDodi

Best way is not to let it run out
However, normally it will have enough charge left once it dies to boot up far enough to start charging. If this is not the case, then you have to cut open a USB cable and use the red and black wires to charge the battery. I have not had to do this and am unsure as to how to do it but there are tutorials. It seems simple enough.

Consider, as was previously suggested, a cable connection issue.
While you do not currently have the luxury of looking at your status icons, I have found that, on occasion, when I plugged in the phone to charge, the status icon indicated a USB connection, rather than a charging icon. Unplugging the cable and re-inserting the cable fixed it.
Note that new high quality cables can exhibit the same issue.
You have nothing to lose... Give it a shot.
Good luck.

Take out battery, plug chopped up USB cable into wall charger, use fingers to hold red to + black to -, count to twenty, battery in phone, phone into bootloader, real charger cable into phone and wall charger, leave 10 mins, reboot into android. (Can charge all the way in bootloader, but it seems slower than when android is running.)

By 'tutorials on how to do this' I basically meant your posts
As previously said if you're using magldr you need to be booted into Android before the phone will charge. You can try to warm the battery up in your hands to squeeze the last bit of power out of it to boot up. Or there are standalone hd2 battery charges you can buy from eBay that charge your battery outside of the phone, they're pretty cheap.

As Samuel said you can charge phone in bootloader. Just try!
Had to buy external charger
item # M00366 this charger was cheap has led's that change from red to blue as the battery charges and has a usb port so you can charge a battery in phone at the same time.
I'd been alternating tween an extended battery and the original when my HD2 started discharging while plugged in. same batteries and nearly a year of typhoon's excellent ROM progression then wham dead batteries....
hi everyone,i got a problem of charng on my MT4G recently.Actually it happened since few hours ago.I searched, read reagarding MT4G charging issue, but this is not it.
Phone shows charging (settings>about phone> Battery)
Red light is lighting but No Charging Animation.
USB Mass Storage working!
Tried a factory rest, but still have the problem.
Tried many chargers & data cables, but nothing has changed!
What could be the matter?
TIA
If the battery is charging it's probably your ROM. Which one are you using?
Try clearing data and cache and reflashing the ROM. Sometimes that clears things up. It won't mess up any of your programs, but if you've altered anything in the system folder or changed the kernel it WILL revert.
Agree with estallings15 above. If the charging light appears, the battery is actually being charged and USB MS is functional - all that means the phone detects USB power (VBUS), and I'd start looking for faults from the ROM.
Thank you very much estallings15 & Jack_R1!It seems that.
Im on Stock Rooted GB ROM.
I turn offed the phone & start to charge. Then after 1 hour i power on it & see.Now the phone is charging,
It show charging animation (in early,it didn't show).BUT charging is extremely slow!It took 2 hours to charge from 30% to 32%!!I have installed Snake battery booster & it show remaing 5 hours to full chrage from 15%(current battery level)!!!
Anyway guys,i will try another rom after i get decent battery percent.Thank you very much!
Like i sad,
ROM - Rooted Stock GB ROM

If the charging is that slow - there is another option, but you're not going to like that one. Your battery or charging circuit on the board might be faulty.
your phone is using more current than the charger is able to deliver error

Thanks! What is the option??BTW,I just flashed Android Revolution HD & after few minutes,i got this message suddenly (see the attachment). What is now?Is this regarding charging port or something like you said ?
error is " your phone is using more current than the charger is able to deliver error"
I bought a charger off line once and it charged my phone about that slow all I did was switch chargers and it started charging it fast again

I think the original htc charger is slower than motorola's one. Don't know which one is better for battery life.
I have gotten that message before not since buying a new charger after old one got shortage

It confirms my thoughts. If you're using a good stock charger (the one that's able to deliver 1A current) and you're seeing this message - it means that either your battery is dead, or the charging circuit in your phone is malfunctioning. Other problems are unlikely, given that you have functional USB. There is still a chance of something bad on the connector level (GND pin), but I can't say for sure if this is possible - never tried.

I have a similar issue. My HTC MyTouch doesn't charging at all.
The charge light appears, the charging animation too, but the phone discharges like no charger connected.
I've used: charge from usb (pc) with Motorola, Samsung and Blackberry cables, 5V/1A charger, 5,7V/2A charger. No changes.
I'm on Stock rooted GB. The problem appears on Stock Froyo and before trying Gfree method. Even with the phone turned-off.
I've tried with two different batteries, also. No changes.
I hope you can help me. I believe that this is a hardware problem.
Thanks
Try a very short cable!!! (like 20cm) and good charger , not the usb of computer or notebook

I plug in my phone, the charging light turns on, then it tells me to use the charger the phone came with - I am - so why does it tell me to use the original charger when I already am!?! And furthermore, it will just randomly stop charging and tell me that my phones battery is empty even though just a few seconds before it was at 50% I turn the phone on and it says that it's at 50% but it had stopped charging and told me that it didn't have ANY battery power, now I have to have my phone on when I charge it to prevent this, but I'm 99% sure that it would charge faster when it's turned off, why is my phone doing this and how can I change it?
P.S. what's better for charging, daydream or sleep mode?

What ROM are you using and have you flashed any custom kernel?
Sometimes you need to calibrate battery statistics in order to give correct charge.
Try a different cable.

Yes. The thin cords are 1 Amperes, while the thick ones are 2 Amperes.
Using a thin cord means it won't give the phone enough power.
First of all I'm very sorry for posting on a developer Forum, I had lurked here for about a month looking for an answer and I can't find it. I wouldn't had made an account otherwise.
Here's my problem, my phone randomly stops charging (not notice neither) since the Oreo Update. I believe is because of the update because I return my old phone and bought a second phone and decided to leave it on Nougat, I decided to update it to Oreo because I missed notification badges and the day after I already had the same problem.
Things of Notice:
*Both phones where new and on the latest security patch.
*My phone does charge overnight when in wall socket but will stop charging when I used the USB on my car (my car has a USB adapter but if I charge it there, it will keep READING USB and repeating the cycle)
*Phone also stops charging when I use an extended battery. (I'm an avid Pokemon Go Player)
*Restating the phone a couple of times, fixes the issue.
Is there anything that I can do? everything else about the phone works perfectly (Facebook takes a long time to load but that's it). If there's an answer already please forward me to that post. Thanks again
Could it be because the update enabled quick charge, so now the phone requires a bigger energy output from the USB?
Does changing the cable help? If not, try doing a factory reset.

Since this is my first phone with USB type C I only have the one cable. I had notice the battery backup is charging so it seems like a problem with the car charger but I need to test it first. What charging output do I need to charge a modern phone like this?

I'm sorry I answer this late, I was unable to log into the site from my phone. (forgot the pasword). I did some testing in the weekend and it did charge on my laptop, it charge extremely slow., Just 3% in like an hour. (with constant use).
I kept using it with my power bank it kept charging reliably as well as in my house. But it keeps having the some problem at the car, So here's what I'm wondering. If I use one of those 3.0 USB car chargers will it charge my phone? without a problem to my car? I don't know if this phone supports fast charging (the specs says yes but I never seen the fast charging message with the regular charging)

No worries. Yes, laptop charging is slow.
I'm not sure if the stock ROM supports fast charging but custom ones do, and it can't harm your device. I don't see why it would harm your car if it was made for it. Maybe your car's USB port broke.

I have had the same reaction on one of my phones after updating to oreo.
Changing the charger from a 1A model to a 2,4A model solved the issue.
