Hello, could someone please help me with this issue. Yesterday at night i putted my phone to charge (Fast charging turned on) and next morning, i woke up and i saw that my phone did not charge all the way and when i turned the screen on, i saw that there is an Error message saying : "Check port: Moisture has been detected, please dry up the USB/port to continue with charging" (or something like that). So i was surfing on the web and i couldn't find some good answers and questions about my problem, there were few questions but some poor answers. Then today i saw a topic about USB port Fried on S7 Edge, i clicked and the person who published that topic had identical problems, and i am 100% sure that my USB port on my phone got fried. Could you guys please help me and give me some info where i can buy new USB port or something?
-I have not tried Wireless charging yet (i dont have it).
-I tried to connect it to my PC to check if it will transfer data and stuff, but that doesn't work either.

Greetings friends;
I need of the help you; I have bought this cellphone HTC Tilt 8925 AT&T and fallow the steps to charger the bettery for 8 hours and when I turned on appeared this screen (image attached); tried to connect on PC and directly on outlet power but the problem persisted; I have sent the device to the seller and he told me that replaced the battery and the cellphone worked; 2 days ago received again the cellphone and did the charger but only appear this screen (image attached). I did a video and put on youtube, as I can't to put link in this moment you can see the link on (image attached) please help me.
The seller said this about the video and problem: From what I can see, it is my best guess that the proper voltage/amps are not getting to the phone. The phone took so long to get to you this time, it could be that the battery is drained beyond being charged. For the phone to function properly, the battery must be in, not just the phone plugged in without the battery. At this point, my only other guess is that the charger may not be working properly. Is it possible for you to insert the battery and allow the phone to charge over night in your car with the car charger we supplied? If you do that and it turns out to work, then obviously there is something wrong with the AC charger. You mentioned the USB plug, but I don't know for sure if the phone charges while plugged into USB.
I disagree with him and I answered this: The eletric power it's all or nothing; you can see the cellphone turn on even with the battery or using the outlet or USB from the computer; if the power do not works, the device did not turn on, but the device turn on and only can see that screen, my opinion is that there is a software problem cellphone. I have another HTC cellphone and used this charger that comes with the new cellphone and that you saw on youtube video and my old HTC cellphone turn on perfectly without battery.
I NEED OF HELP OF YOU: THIS PROBLEM IS IT BATTERY OR SOFTWARE OF THE CELLPHONE?? I THINK THAT IS NOT THE BATTERY. ANY SUGGESTION IT'S WELLCOME.
THANKS AND PLEASE HELP ME.
BEST REGARDS
TIAGO
Hi
You are posting on the wrong forum, you should try the Tilt forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=376
Good luck
Hi friend, Thanks for your answer I did the change.
Hey all,
I have a Galaxy Nexus which recently started to act up on his USB port saying it's constantly connecting /disconnecting to the charger with no cable present.
Device: Samsung Galaxy Nexus
Edition: Maguro GSM
OS: CM10.2 nightly + CM11 Alfa
Chargers: OEM, generic, battery & laptop
Cables: OEM & generic
Reproduceable: sometimes
This week I noticed my phone did not react immediately when I plugged it into the charger. Mostly after some fiddling (bending the cable away from the screen) it would start charging. After pulling the cable or removing the charger from the wall, it would generally take 5 to 10 sec for the phone to realize I pulled it- this used to be instantly.
Strangely, when the phone said it cannot charge it can be connected to a computer as Media Device without any problem. Charging only happens after the fiddling again.
Looking into BBS, it cannot give any stats because it says the device is connected constantly to a charger. Android original battery monitor stats are also a mess but it does not say I am connected always.
Every now and again the phone also starts making notifications as if he was constantly connecting and disconnecting - leading to frustrated looks of the people on my train...
Cleaned out the port - no success
Hit it on the train table - no success
Reset, battery pull, flash, different OS - no success
After this all I think it will be a hardware issue. Nothing seems bent and no pins seem to be sticking out. Removing the back and checking the mother board showed everything still intact and all connectors still in place.
I'm guessing now the micro USB connector of the phone has somewhere some corrosion or a pin out of place but not visible to the untrained eye.
Can someone shed some light please?
2 screenshots to show you what I mean.
No, I am not up for 9 hours and lost only 10%... Battery life has become horrible since this issue. It just thinks it's constantly hooked up to a power source and I think it's no longer power efficient because of this. I already disabled charge connection sound because it was driving me crazy ...
Please help if you know even half a solution. I can also post a photo of the connector but the problem is that there's not much to see there...
I think you have problem with charging circuit >>if you have solid knowledge in electronics you can simply replace it
replacing this port in attached pic will solve your problem .... otherwise you can fix your own port because I think one of your USB port pin are touching the ground chase of your motherbord
Thanks for the reply. Somewhat saw it coming I would have to replace something...
I already looked on some sites like ifixit to see what I could do but I thought to have seen that the Motherboard was in one big piece.
Could you please give me the website where you found this or the name /article code of this component?
Thank you

try to follow the steps on the link it is very helpful http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Repairing+Samsung+Galaxy+Nexus+(Verizon+LTE)+Micro+USB+Charge+Port+%26+Main+Mic/9641
and you have nothing to do with the motherboard just take the old charging port and install the new one
Ordered a new part. Hopefully it'll work...
Hello! I have recently changed the battery for my nexus. In the beggining it looked normal, but i discovered that it refuses to charge the battery. Phone is on, connected to charger and it says "not charging"? Anyone knowing what's the problem can be? or have seen a thread about this? (I have tried many different charges, from computers and cars etc.)
Hope someone can help figuring this out..
In a beautiful day, when I forget my charger at school, I used my PC to charge my cellphone ( just 2 days like that) and the cellphone was detecting like usual: If connected to pc it shows charging over USB, If connected to AC it shows AC. Ok then, so What is the problem? After One week, when I was travelling using the phone as usual the battey ended and cellphone turned off at 0% (perfectly normal), as soon as I was travelling I used car charger to charge my Zenfone (It is an 2A car adapter). When I connected the cellphone (I was on Stock ROM) it take more time to detect charger than usually (like when you connect it the phone instantly shows the battery icon when off) it takes over 20s connected to charger to show the battery logo, the phone was saying that 1/4 of battery has been charged (WTF it was totally discharged from 100% to 0% and when I put 20s it charge that much? This is not possible I tought). When I turn the phone on it was showing 30% OF BATTERY, I wondered how that could happen. (I alreay saw this bug on my friend's cellphones from other brands like Samsung & Motorola). Anyway, when I saw those 30% I saw the battery graph (wich shows if is on AC or USB) and it was showing charging over USB. BUT HOW THAT COULD BE USB, ITS A FRRAKING 2A CHARGER WTF ZENFONE. I tested on my sister's phone with same cable and same charger, it was showing charging over AC as well. When I finally get home I let it charging, after 1h30m it just charged 15% with Asus AC charger & at the battery graph still showing charging over USB, when I tried to connect it to computer the phone was showing charging over USB (btw it was ok because it was on PC) but windows doesn't said nothing was connected, no USB mismatch, NOTHING. I was on panic. WTF HAPPENED TO MY CELLPHONE. This day I decided to go to Marshmallow, soon as I have root and TWRP pre-installed (when I still have usb connection {3 months ago when I made root}) So I downloade RR zips, upgraded, everythig was ok, Marshmallow Running successfully. But one thing wasn't ok, the freaking charger detect. It was still saying "over USB" but it was on AC. Tried to go o bootloader, no answers from the phone either from windows. I bought an USB-OTG adapter, not working too. I bought an new microusb sub board, replaced it to the new one. No success, still saying charging over USB, no pc connection. Just one thing chaned: OTG before SubBoard change it doesn't even gave energy to "feed" the pen drive, mouse doesn't work too. This night was when I became freaking mad, I let it charging, when I turn the phone on it has just 25%. 6h Charging and 25%. I said to myself, this couldn't be possible, no way dude. I don't know what to do anymore, I'm desperate, is the only android phone that I have, already tried many chargers, many cables, many different computers, no clue of what happened with this cellphone. So is not an hardware issue (as soon I already had this issue, but it get back to normal by itself last time, I didn't do anything) but now it has been 1 month charging "over USB with short battery life. What am I suposed to do now? I tried repair battery life PRO, app from an XDA member. It says everything OK with battery, screenshot below: (translate: No problems founded). And another screnshot of the USB problem. As you guys can see my battery graph is sh*tty, never get to 100% in one day because of this issue.
@gadmei.tw @TecnoTailsPlays (New thread that I was saying).
Please anyone help me, I don't know what to do anymore . I always helped guys with other issues on RR and other rom's issues, now please I need you guys to help me.
Sorry for my bad english, I'm from Brazil and I'm nervous now.
Thanks XDA :crying:
I half read your story .I think your battery is miscalibrated. You need root and a app to calibrate it.
Say thanks if it helped.
A few days ago, my phone started charging very slowly. Fast charging wouldn't work. When I went into settings/battery, it says "charging via USB" instead of "charging via AC". I also have no fast charging, regardless of whether I play with the settings. I also have no OTG and my computer won't recognize my phone. I've scoured forums and found no credible answers. I have replaced my cables and brick, and I have tried it with my S6 and they work fine. I'm going to try a factory reset. Is anyone else experiencing this? And any suggestions?

There are no updates available for my device?
I know this is a old Thread but has anyone found a solution and/or cause of this problem?
I have the same problem with my Galaxy S6 (sm-920v). I get the same thing "USB Connected" (extremely slow charging) regardless of the cable and charger I use, also no OTG or Computer Connection. I tried other chargers and cables (OEM and aftermarket) that work fine on other Galaxy devices. I've tried changing the USB settings, it won't even connect to a computer in DM mode. It takes over 6 hours to charge it from 0% via USB and will just maintain a charge when using the phone. A wireless charger will cut the time in half. I'm pretty much stuck having it plugged in all the time when using it.
Any help woud be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Mike
