So i just received an att android 7 SM-G935A and i went to root it using ODIN following some forum posts here. Well like an idiot i forgot to turn on usb debugging. I am stuck in a constant bootloop now. I have tried many different firmware tos et it back to factory stock. Does anyone know the correct procedure and firmware and version of ODIN in order to fix this. I am honetly losing my mind.
Can you get to recovery mode? If you can, do a factory reset. Then I would Odin to 7.0 from HERE
DON'T use the Prince Comsey Odin version, use the official

I was looking to factory reset my Tab 4 7.0 to sell, but since I've rooted it and installed TWRP, the process wasn't as simple as I'd have liked. I tried the standard Factory Reset function of TWRP, but it didn't do anything. I tried Wipe Data, still nothing. Then I did an Advanced Wipe and checked off everything, not realizing one of the options was to wipe /system. Now my Tab 4 keeps rebooting to TWRP, and the recovery also states "No OS is installed".
I'm currently downloading the new NH1 firmware from SamMobile and considering flashing it through Odin 3.09. Would this be the most effective method, considering I had no prior backup made to the tablet? Will this likely remove my root access and custom recovery? Is there a chance of tripping something like a Knox counter and bricking my device (happened once when I tried an old method to root my Note 3, Knox blocked part of the flash and left the system halfway between two OS images)
Sounds like you're on the right track with downloading the firmware off of SamMobile. I had a similar issue with my Galaxy Tab 2 and that got my tablet out of its funk.

At this point I've tried all the ROMs listed on SamMobile for my tablet and all fail to completely flash. Odin says it was fully successful, but when the tablet tries to boot, I only hear half the boot sound and then the boot animation just sits there saying Samsung with the little blue dots popping out of it, and that's it.
Are there any other types of ROMs I can flash to this system? Does it matter what version of Odin I'm using? (Tried 3.06 and 3.09, both unsuccessful)

hi i have a tab 3 7.0. why dont you try using odin 3.07 if that fails try emergency firmware recovery in kies. odin flashing of official firmware does not increase binary counter as stated by sammy tech support. but you flashing twrp does increase binary count. hope i helped.

I have successfully flashed ND9 and N2E firmwares with Odin 3.07. The NH1 firmware is corrupt when I download it. These are the Cellular South versions which I assume are the US firmwares. I did also flash the Canada versions and I couldn't tell them apart. Currently on ND9 firmware so I could get it rooted. I only have the WiFi 230NU.

this question may sound silly but have you tried to wipe data/cache after full odin firmware install?
I believe i was able to keep all my apps and data after full firmware upgrade using odin, so it isnt doing full wipe after all.
.
I rooted and installed TWRP on this device and decided I wanted to get the SM-T330NU instead. I returned the T230 and the clerk tried to factory reset the device and it booted up into TWRP - the clerk made the comment "What in the world" but did not say anything. I had tried to factory reset it before returning and it would not work either.

If you power off the device and then boot up into download mode, connect the usb to your pc and run odin you can flash the factory stock image to the device using odin and that will reset the device to stock. Replacing TWRP with the factory recovery image and everything else. You can download the stock files for the device either by searching these forums or going to sammobile. Try starting with the oldest version available and update from there. I rooted and unrooted the SM-T230NU several times using this method and had no issues. Be patient. Allow the device 5 minutes to boot up after flashing the stock. Make sure the device has 80% charge or better before starting. Leave the device connected to the PC with odin open until you see a message in odin that reads, "passed".

Just install deodexed rom from twrp
I don't think sm-t230's have Knox do they? You didn't kill your tablet just flash a stock ROM from sammobile. And you'll be a-OK

My phone is a verizon gs5 SM-G900V and I tried to root it but something (I honestly have no idea) went wrong and now it is stuck on the splash screen. I have tried everything i thought of, doing a factory reset, clearing the cache partition, I tried reinstalling the stock rom using odin but of course because there was no root and the bootloader is locked, I can't reinstall. I tried applying updates using SD no dice. I am able to access the bootloader and the and the android recovery menu if that will help at all. I don't know every acronym/term because i'm still fairly new to these terms so any help will be greatly appreciated.
I'm guessing you are on lollipop because you say you can't downgrade to KitKat aka stock
so what you should do is go to Sammobile and download either lollipop official firmware bok3 or Pb1.
then install via odin in either ap or pda slot
with the phone in download mode after that wait for the Phone to boot then set it up
then use ok3 root method by Jr Kruse on xda it's a sticky in the s5 verizon forum to get root
I recently picked up 2 edges a Verizon and ATT variant, I flashed the Verizon phone succesfully to G935U with this firmware http://i.imgur.com/JuIeA6g.jpg
(The 4-file link in Step 2 https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve...de-flashing-sm-935u-firmware-verizon-t3415145 )
Since that went smoothly I decided to run Odin and flash that firmware onto the ATT Edge, ( original FW is g935aucs4apk1 )
It didn't work, I recall that it got stuck at Setup Connection. So I rebooted the phone and it took me into Recovery mode, where all the CHECKS failed. So the ROM has effectively been wiped; leaving me with just the Recovery menu and DOWNLOAD screens.
Is there any way of getting my self out of this?
Fixed it. Ended up clicking Re-partition and Flash Bootloader in Odin then flashing 4-files from the T-Mobile Nougat firmware using the PrinceComsy 3.12 Odin
Not my ideal way to do this, i'm sure I've lost root potential, but I have a working phone! (w/ No xposed )

As long as you are still on bootloader 4 (and you are, since to my knowledge there isn't a higher version) you can still root your device and return it to MM if necessary. It may take some effort, but it's doable.
So I suppose this is karma for trying to root the J320A, a device which I was 90% sure wasn't rootable. But now, after flashing a file via Odin, I can't boot past the "Samsung Galaxy" boot screen. I have wiped the system cache, factory reset via the recovery menu, and attempted flashing stock firmware. Though I can't seem to locate any reliable stock firmware. There's none for the SM-J320A on sammobile.com, and the other firmware I've downloaded has given me an error in Odin. Can anyone help? I'm pretty desperate.

Updato has many firmware for j320a

If odin gives any root try posting it picture. Also try using modded odin if normal is not working as expected.

Hello, I had the same problem.
Before you flash restore your phone to factory default ....settings.....general ......
or by stock recovery mode ...... https://android.gadgethacks.com/how...s10-into-recovery-mode-download-mode-0194521/
and perform a factory data reset .
Then I flashed with Odin 3.13. only the AP_File. (AP_G975FXXS3ASH1_CL16487975_QB25171324_REV01_user_low_ship_meta_OS9.tar)
This is the latest official Firmware for Samsung 10+ (Exynos).... SM-G975F_1_20190805141127_n52ujmrqr9_fac
Best regards

I'm just doing this with this advice here, and only running the AP_File as advised. Hope the S10 doesn't get bricked because I have not loaded other files.
Also seems Odin is in state, SYSTEM, which is now so far 20mins and don't seem to see more progress
for those who updated the german beta (android 12), remember to unlock your bootloader in settings, because the knox get triggered after detecting different system files and the original bootloader, if u unlock the bootloader, it lets odin rewrite it and get the PASS
