Hi all just wanted to ask about the bluetooth codecs that became available in Android O and was doing some searching around and i cannot seem to find anything about our phone supporting LDAC but i have some LDAC compatible headphones. I have been streaming with the new LDAC codec but i'm not sure if its even enabled or just software saying it is enabled but isn't. I'll attach a screenshot in a bit. What do you guys think about the new codecs?
:good:

Yes, it should: Sony has been helping Google with adding LDAC-support to O.

Thanks for the response I should've phrased that better, so the codec is just code rather than specific hardware

As many of you know, it wasn't possible to record calls with the 2.0 and 2.1 android versions. Can someone test whether the feature is supported in the new firmware?
Thanks.

Test? How? Wouldn't you need a recorder app that was specifically coded to use the phone audio stream? If there was such an app and it didn't work for some reason in earlier versions, let me know and I'll be happy to give it a shot under Froyo, as that's functionality I'd like to have, too.

Total recall doesn't work on anything 2.0+ like Nexus One.
It's in the app description itself.
Looking for alternatives..
Have any of y'all found a way for the Nexus 7 to work with an MHL Adapter? I don't wanna have to buy a new adapter just to get this thing on the tele. Lol
Not supported.

Is it possible to emulate or virtualize such hardware?
For an example, my Realtek HD audio chip on my motherboard doesn't support Dolby Digital Live traditionally (lacks the hardware chip). But it can instead use the CPU for this task with proper drivers.
Oneplus 5 has Bluetooth 5.0 same as Samsung Galaxy S8. That means technically it should be able connect to two Bluetooth devices at a time. But it doesn't seem to work. Does it work for anyone here?
Android Nougat still doesnt support that feature, only samsung.

Isn't there a way to do it? An app or some root tweaks?

No, Bluetooth 5 needs to be activated in Android and it will be in Android O. You'll have to wait for O.

Is this feature included in Android O preview? I hope Android O gets this feature
I think you have to wait for Android O.
Only when I am using my Bose Headphones with the Bose Connect App - it is possible. (But therefore you don't need Bluetooth 5)
I thought all devices running Nougat had to support Vulkan API? I can't get it to work for games that it should work for. I'm on the TMO V20 and I can't find any info on this, any ideas?

Not 100% sure but think it needs to be 7.1 to support that.

I would hope it's something like that, the Pixel which I believe is on 7.1 or later has it working...

What is the issue? I am un-aware. Will test my Apt-X headphones now...
Edit: Yeah, not sure what is wrong. Seems Ok.

Factory reset would have been enough. I dont know then. I see that some people complain of this issue and others, like me says it works fine. It must be a compatibility issue with certain headphones.
